The app works, the problem is the service behind the app. On three occasions, my prescription has been delayed because of their poor administrative practices. If you have other options, please consider them!
Being a first time user it was hard to navigate the app. I'm hoping with each use things will go smoother. I look forward to using this service again and am grateful for the opportunity to have such a service for my prescriptions.
This app makes it easy to refill my prescription. It is setup well with all the questions that CVS Specialty needs answers to. Clicking on the link I received in a text message makes it easy to enter the CVS SPECIALTY app.
This app is easy to navigate and is uncluttered. The refill reminders are extremely helpful.
For some reason every time I use this app it changes my phone settings to where it vibrates with any button press. (Haptic feedback). Makes it really annoying to use. It only happens with this app and I do use the fingerprint sign-in which I suspect is the issue. I think I will stay away from the app until it gets fixed because it makes me uncomfortable that an app is changing my phone settings.
Just installed this app after reading all of these 1-Star Reviews. I'm guessing these folks may be using a password manager (Like LastPass or having the login/password information auto-filled) because I experienced the same initial problem; the username and password were 100% correct, but the app thinks otherwise. I fixed the issue simply by removing the auto-filled password, then immediately pasting it from my phone's clipboard. Naturally, manually inputting the password will work, too.
Could really use a slightly easier flowing in-app UI redesign. On utility and reliability this app is solid, but some things with how the interface behaves can be hair pulling. For example, is there really no way to have the app simply go back one page when going BACK? Does it have to go to the main page each time? Almost all elements pretty much saves on demand so it's not like you have to redo too much if you tap to go BACK. But for viewing details from a line item list? My precious hair =(
Can you make it more operational? Like adding payment info where you can add cards to? And account management, like you meds list and profile info? Would rather use the app than log on to the website...
Every time I go to place an order through the app, it won't go through. It gets to the delivery section, and then it gets stuck on the loading screen until you leave the app, then you have to restart your order. Update: They told me to go to a link, and they would possibly contact me. I've also been waiting on a customer support email for my cvs account, and have received nothing from them. Not even a bot email.
Easy to use and i can refill rxs on my time. If i wake up at 2am and remember i need a refill i can just get on the app.
I like the app for refilling prescriptions. The reminder feature, though, has stopped working after only a month. I set the reminder for 10pm every night but it only "reminds" me now, when I open the app, ten or 15 mins after the time I set.
This app was horrible. My account was referred to collections for $60 because I couldn't decipher my payments from the insurance company. I had to call CVS to get monthly statements mailed to me so I could tell how much I actually owed. Twice I had prescriptions put on hold because payments would not process correctly. I would get text messages the day before my meds were supposed to be delivered saying there was a problem; I would then have to call CVS and make payments by phone - then get my meds rushed. The final time was because, "the app couldn't tell which expiration date was valid" when I ordered a new credit card and updated my information. I deleted this horrible app and will NEVER use it again.
App just disappeared from my phone and when I went to download it again , it says it does not have a match for my information but I can sign in on my laptop. At the moment this app is rendered totally useless. The recent update from the developer has a lot of issues.
Just got off the phone with a very helpful CVS Specialty employee that helped me get initially signed up. She said I would receive a text\email with a link to set up my Specialty account (separate from my normal CVS\Caremark account). I got the text, clicked the link, installed the app and it won't recognize my touch screen? I can type here, but it's like the app is just a picture of the app. Tried re-installing several times. This is fun.
Absolutely the worst Can't log in using app but login credentials work fine online. Customer service no help at all. I've been on hold, transferred, directed to call the store to set up delivery only to be told you have to come inside to set up delivery. SMH
Shows a popup every time app is opened saying you were logged out. I am fine with being logged out, I don't need to acknowledge it every time - just list the message on screen *without popup*. Feedback option cannot find a browser to use to send feedback.
Used to love this app because of the convenience but now I haven't been able to sign in for months and the last time I ordered a refill it was delayed for a reason I still don't know and I played phone tag with CVS Specialty customer service while my insurance and savings card distributor said everything was fine on their end. It was the most disappointing experience.
This app needs major work. Like so many others it will not let me log in, it says that my information does not match any account that they have on record. I am on another phone so I had to download the app on this phone and it is not the same app picture that is on the old phone. They may have updated the app? It no longer works for me.
Unable to change my address in the app after I moved. The overlay where I could change my address would not close after entering my new address and pressing add. This made me completely unable to refill my prescription with the app. I will have to call and do it over the phone on Monday.
the app fails at least 9 out of 10 times to refill prescriptions. Otherwise it's just okay. it is very stressful to get to the final stage of the shopping cart and the order fails to go through. waste of time. you then have to pick up the phone to order a refill.
had some prob w/reminders. i was getting 20+ reminders ea day. i found no way to edit it so i uninstalled. with specialty med ready for ordering i reloaded + that part went well. small glitch but was annoying to delete reminders only to start again ea new day. perhaps it was me; perhaps app. if u had 4+ half stars id give it but not 5 until i see how new install/reminders go.
I receive a text to renew my RX and I click on it and it takes me right there...use my password...and finish answering their questions after my order is completed. I never have a problem with their app. It is straight and to the point. I do not know where anyone would have a problem. I have even called a few times at their request. Everyone is sweet and friendly no matter what kind of mood I am in. I love dealing with the CVS Specialty store.
