Update: I'm one year in and I'm still loving this app! The option for random workouts is fantastic 👏 I love the addition of the running feature. Initially, I got super quick help when I reached out with a question about how to set up for my bike and trainer combo. There are so many options you can change in the settings and you can customize workouts or create your own. This is perfect for my needs and is pushing me just enough to not get overwhelmed but allowing me to improve. Thanks so much!
Not bad for the free version. Just did my first workout and the interface was decent. Not complicated to navigate at all. The different pricing options for upgrades is attractive. May look into doing the lifetime option, as the price is reasonable.
I was a big fan of this app and its ease of use. When I was short on time, I can easily pop into a random workout which is very crucial when every second counts. But with the latest update, the UX is not the most user friendly. It takes too many taps and menus to get to a workout and the new "Sleek" UI and colour scheme makes everything feel and look clunky. It's too cluttered. I'll still use the app but I'm not a fan of the UI/UX.
I've been using this app for three months now and I love it. It gives me structure to my exercises and I never feel like I over exerted myself. The exercise programs offer plenty of variety with plenty of recovery periods in between. The music is ok and actually adjust itself to the cadence of the current exercise. You cam also mute the music and just go via the metronome. Update Mar 20222: The app is getting better and better. Now included are workout plans to improve your performance. Love it
I love the idea of this app but it's not available for Google Android TV's or Chromecast TV. I want to run it on a big screen TV. Screen mirroring is choppy and sound occasionally drops out which spoils the experience. This is stopping me subscribing and getting the full app. Also I would like the option of a 1st person view so I can just use my phone connected to my cadence sensor and not have the bike on screen.
They've made some cool additions to their options. Love the different plans for different levels to help you set and reach goals!!
I like this little cycling app...bright color and pretty good animation. And I can play my own music over it, and pause it for those annoying ads... I am only using the free version but I am working well on the workouts provided..I use it along with my Wahoo connected to my spinbike. Cadence is better than nothing... Its cool!
Nice little app to keep you interested during the workout. Annoying ad at the we start. I'm sure it's removed with a small fee and access to higher levels.
Like this app so far. Easy to navigate. Helps me be able to get so exercise in when I have little time with my bike and attached trainer.
Great intro workout to start. Looking forward for more challenging workouts as I progress.
Overall, I really like this app. I mainly use the custom feature to create my own workouts. There are a three minor things that I don't like but it does not impede my use or workout: 1. Editing in the custom workout could be easier and smoother. 2. The "skip" arrow (to move to another segment of the workout during a workout) is hard to pull up while cycling. 3. When I need to pull up another app while this app is running, the workout automatically pauses.
Not bad. I'm not sure how accurate calorie counting is. Nice looking enough. I'd like one female rider and maybe one more 15 minute free option, like an island...? I'd also like it to be able to run in the background like my walking apps do and it pops up in drop-down screen or screen in screen. So when you're reading or doing other things, time flies faster. I had no issues with it on a Samsung S10. I'm glad it's fairly easy to get out of the ads. Just double click back.
UPDATE: I still love this app. So many pre-customed workouts to choose from. The workouts are great. A++ developer communication. Love the transition between seated flat to standing flat, jumps, climbs and recovery. Daily log is available with weekly/monthly comparison graph. Would love an option for larger fonts and a workout calendar to map out your workout routine for a week or two to a month, that alerts you or not. Just so you don't forget. Overall, a keeper! Thanks!!
Where all others wanted my soul first, CycleGo gave me a sweat straight out of the box. Got riding straight away. This is a review after my first 20min workout, so we will see how it progresses. The only weird thing so far is turning up the resistance when the graphics/video looks like I'm on a flat or even descending. Also I have no sound casting through my Chromecast to my TV. This may be a problem at my end, and I didn't really want to break the workout to look into it.
Wow! So pleased I have found this! I searched last summer for a static bike app and gave up! This is brilliant, beginners workout is great. I do think a different voice option would be a good added extra however I dont mind it. I would eventually like to see a tracker compatibility with this! This is a great example of what people who DONT run could use! Great work
I've been using this app since Dec 2020. I really like it. I can work out at my own pace without the annoyance of notifications telling me how long it's been since I've exercised. At first the graphics were a bit funny looking but with this recent update (29Mar21) the graphics have improved SIGNIFICANTLY and I love it. I haven't invested in the app yet though. I just use the minimum free circuits they have until I develop a routine.
CycleGo is surpassing my expectations for a virtual cycling app, even in just free mode. I prefer solitary workouts, BUT -- I love the little avatar, I even enjoy the music, the coach is helpful and not annoying, and the scenery is really lovely. I am actually planning my workouts now, and I am no athlete. Want to try the upgrade so I can spend more time on my bike. I think this app is perfect for me. I only wish G-Fit would work better with it, I've had to do some editing.
I really enjoyed the app until the trial period was up and now I only have one choice. I have done the same exercise 13 times hoping the next level would unlock but it hasn't. I am not sure if I will pay for it yet. It is fun and really helps motivate me. Edit: ok I paid and don't regret it. Really great workouts for any ability.
Excellent app with a great variety of workouts. I started with the free version, then subscribed for 1 month and now have the (VERY good value!) annual package. Delighted with the facility to customise your own workouts. I've also just discovered I can also calibrate it to record distance travelled - I'll try to do this shortly. Am SO pleased with this App!!! Well done to those who developed it.
This cycling app is great for use as a cross training device. The retro graphics feel like you're paying an original xBox game. Kind of fun when you use it once or twice a week. The diversity of the courses is nice. The demo only uses one boring route, but the paid version adds more. I wish the exercise summary told you cadence as well as time and resistance, only a minor issue until I get used to all the different options. Great app for casual use and cross training.
If your bike isnt smart enough to broadcast info to zwift then this is the next best thing. Basically a virtual spin instructor in a nice easy to use format. The graphics are a bit sketchy but its all a bit of fun. I purchased the full package after a few tries at the free sessions, finding the unlocked sessions more interesting and challenging
Great app for my tablet , find it really motivates my workouts. Love all the pre planned routines and the ability to create a random program too. My only criticism is the music, quite a short loop of songs. Over an hour of exercise you can get a bit fed up with the same songs over and over. This a great app still overall.
