Cytoid: A Community Music Game

The error notice that pops-up during gameplay is annoying and sometimes after I play a song, the result takes minutes to load and update and there was also times when the result won't sync to the server at all. But overall, the gameplay is hard but seriously challenging and altho there's a bunch of error at times, it's still a decent game.

Good idea, not a good end product. Timing is very brutal but doable in this game but that's not where my problem is. My problem is that it always either doesn't react to my swiping at all or just times it badly even though I hit it right on the mark. Some maps are also borderline impossible without more than 2 fingers which is annoying because I know how to play with more than two but don't have a device big enough to do it. Needs heavy polish overall but is a good concept.

I don't know why but it doesn't play similarly to cytus at all. Everything is there but it just doesn't work 😐 it's probably great as an emulator but definitely not a replacement. Gameplay just feels off for some reason I can't really tell. It feels like playing a pc game with a controller you know, like it works fine and all that but there is that floaty weird slow paced feeling that just doesn't feel right. Although the game developed a lot so I'm hopeful for the future updates

Pretty cool game it was my first time playing this kind of rhythm game and the tutorial and beginner levels were really helpful. It required sometime to get used to the controls and now I can at least play the easy and advanced level. There is a little problem there but I think that it's not the game but me, to me the timing of the tiles w.r.t. rhythm felt a little off, very slightly bit off . Except that the game is amazing.

So far, it's a great application, I always find it hard to search for applications that involves beats and perfect timing, something that grabs my attention and motivates me to focus more. It has sense for improving cognitive skills and such. I just got the application installed and suddenly crashed twice, if this issue will be fixed as soon as possible or may be give me some list of possible causes of this issue then I'd be willingly be able to rate this application with some clearer reviews.

Oh my! I didn't expect this kind of quality to be honest. Sure, it's not that smooth and sometimes it lags on me on long notes but it's really good! The graphics are nice and the community and website is good. The game is not for beginners though. For one, there's no help section whatsoever or a tutorial for that matter. The thing that I can actually say is the unaccesibility of the pause button. It's really too small.

I want to like this game - Cytus-like gameplay is amazing and it needs a community project behind it like this! However, the lag between the song and the gameplay varies wildly between songs, and I end up constantly grappling to find the perfect delay to type into the settings to be able to actually play any particular song - one may need a 0.4 second delay, another needs 0.9... none of them Just Work™ at the default settings. Needing to test for random numbers makes the game unplayable.

Amazingly done and it is playable both online and offline, even if improvements are needed it is still really good so I have very high expectations for this game. There is a problem where when I finish a song and fail to connect to the internet I can't go back to the menu forcing me to restart the game, it's not much of a problem but can sometimes be annoying. It's basically a five star game. If you're looking for a decent rythm I would recommend this, it would be even better if you were familiar with osu. It's not an easy game, well, to get a good score, it's not easy. There are pre-installed mods aswell. The gameplay is clean. You can change the input lag, which is a very nice addition. Basically everything is free, I haven't needed to pay for anything, or even watch an ad. My only problem, is I wish there was more music besides Tecno and anime.

There isn't any satisfaction or assurance that I did good on a song. Something like on the right timing, a comment should appear like "Perfect!" Or "Good" or "Miss". It's not obvious with only the colours. Also, the design of the buttons/maps is kind of bland and WAY TOO simple. It feels "lightweight" and empty to me. Other than that, it is very ambitious and fun if updated frequently. The last time was last year??

Overall the formatting of the notes is the same as cytus which I have previously played and with community driven, creates more variety in songs and maps which is very nice to see. However, the timing of the notes is very harsh and only slightly off results in an early or late pop-up which is annoying and the flick notes are sometimes non-responsive when done slightly early resulting in misses. That is why it can't be a 5 star rating.

Great idea but not so good execution. It's cool to have songs that i like from vocaloid and stuff in cytus gameplay but unfortunately the game controls are still rather underdeveloped. The accuracy and detection system is a bit whacky, the UI doesnt look as good plus the game is somewhat laggy, making it a bit less enjoyable to play. Will play again when it's more refined? All in all, good luck with the developments.

This game has definitely improve so much since its development. Now it is basically playable on any device. It occasionally spitting out errors and warnings about all kinds of stuff, but it is fine and I believe it will be fixed in the future. I wish you can select range of difficulty instead of sorting it from hard to easy, because there is just too many level 15 or 15+ songs. They are way harder than level 15 charts in Cytus II which are pretty easy. This game is challenging, which is awesome!

I redownloaded the app and tried to log in but i keep getting an error that says "Lunar Mobile Console HTTP/1.1403 Forbidden" that doesn't let me log in. Also am i supposed to adjust the sync individually for every chart? because it feels really weird in most songs, i either tap too early because of the beat in the music being faster or too late if i pay attention to the notes filling up(which i shouldn't be doing in the first place) Anyway, still an amazing game

This game is really great and I absolutely love it. Pls help tho, whenever I'm downloading a song I can see thats its in my files and when I actually open it using the app it doesn't pop up! It just shows all 4 of the original songs. I even tried to press the download completed notification on my android and it directs me back to the game without the song I downloaded. Pls fix this bug! The game is the best that I have had in a while. Anyways, thanks for making this amazing game!

The game overall was pretty good. The problem is that I can't move on to the next song after I played one. It keeps on showing a system error message with codes so I had to restart the game if I wanted to play another song. Because of the fact that it keeps crashing my level hasn't increased despite how many songs I played already. Please fix this, I really want to play without any complications. Thank you.

One of the most amazing rhythm games I could find! Just within 2 days I was already in love with this game, there are many modes in this game for instance, the community mode. The community mode has a lot of songs there, had a lot of my favourite songs as well, there may be some missing, but overall, amazing! You can download the songs there and play offline. I really recommend this game!

I love the premise of having a community based rythm game and cytus model of gameplay in it and in the past, it's so fun to play because I had no issue at all. I've been on hiatus a while and now that I came back, I'm kinda disappointed that whenever I finished a song, it takes forever for it to calculate the score. That's my only gripe with it. Other than that, maybe global recalibration feature would be very appreciated

It's a good game, and it has better UI now. But, there's still some problems that still exists until now... the accuracy system is too strict, on Cytus 2 i could finish some Lv. 8~15 songs with accuracy ranging from 78%~95% but in this game, it got like 50%~80%. The circle effect and texture is too plain, the others were good tho, the hitsounds ain't accurate/off beat as well

This game is really great, it has great art style and UI, custom music made by the community (which is rare coming from a mobile rhythm game), but it feels really different from playing cytus, i thought it would have the same feel but its just different, maybe this game just doesn't suits me or maybe I'm actually really bad at this game. (I just figured it was the calibration that's confusing, please make it easier for the beginner)

This game is very good. The design and music are beautiful, it's not pay to play like a lot of other rythm games out there, and it's challenging. The only thing is that it takes a while to get your device to the perfect calibration to get it to have limited lag, but once calibrated it's very addicting.

Quite good in my opinion. There is a problem with ranked mode. That is the game will lag every time i turn on rank mode. Thus, messed up my rhythm during gameplay. Also, the pause button is buggy. The song will not continue and the leftover circles will be present if i choose to resume the game.

This is such a good game especially the graphics(I dont even have a good phone and this runs smoothly) and just the rhythm game in general. It wasn't that hard to calibrate my settings like in other rhythm games and it is easy to get familiar with. Just play the tutorial and you can start playing whatever you want. I hope for more great updates and having a big community!

This is one of the mobile rhythm game I highly recommend to both beginners and veterans, controls are very responsive especially for a mobile fast paced rhythm game, it has alot of community made charts which is essentially the icing on the cake, my one complaint is that the way to create a charting is very complicated, really hope the devs make it a bit easier to make chartings.

I played lots of rythm games but this one really know how to hooked you up with the game. Seriously, me and my friends compete with the rating system that who got the highest rating in the game. Only one problem though the tap notes lags sometimes so the combo breaks down. So, pls fix it. Other than that its awesome to have such rythm game.

Simple, but beautiful UI. Feels very professional. Very beginner friendly, great tutorial without force feeding the user tons of information. Interesting and satisfying gameplay. Perhaps best of all, there is an almost endless amount of content and none of it is locked behind ad walls or pay walls. Probably the greatest free to play game on the Play Store.
