D Notes - Smart & Material - Notes, Lists & Photos

Love it I'm the worst at organizing this app has been such a great tool to have right in my hands. I love being able to jot down anything I feel necessary and even able to make a checklist if needed I wish I was able to change the color of the text like how I'm able to pick a category color but that isn't something that's a huge deal and more n likely I'm missing the option to do it for each category. Regardless I love this app I've tried more than I'd like to admit and this is by far my fav!!

Almost perfect. Need a calendar and syncing across devices but it has all the bells & whistles I was looking for. Also maybe a transparent widget bar. I like the white one but wish it was transparent. Also the ability to format text would be great. I hope they add these features! Really good notes app though!

Very nice app with a sensible UI. It was worth the small fee to get the autoback up functionality. One bug(?) is that when you create a note and select the category, the color of the note does not change to the color assigned to the category. If this is by design, it would be nice to have an option for the app to act this way. Backup to Google drive does not work reliably. Backup to SD card works fine. It isn't clear when Autosync runs--I'm not sure how it works.

I wish there were some options for custom formatting within a note, also the view for each item in the list is kind of big, I'd like to be able to see more in a single frame. I'd like to find a single app that maintains many different kinds of lists for me (grocery checklists, recipes, tasks, notes, random reminders, etc.), But this only seems sufficient for recipes.

Hello! I love your app, it is so comfortable to work with! The amount of possibilities is impressive. And the ability to pin notes is simply genius. The only thing which I find a bit uncomfortable, is that I cannot make just a part of text Checklisted, while leaving other intact. Right now, if I choose the CHECKLIST option, it makes whole note content Checklisted, regardless of selection in the text. If you could change this, I would be very grateful and even buy a full version :)

I probably installed around a dozen note taking apps, looking for the "perfect" one for me. I was so happy when I found this one, my journey was a success. It allows categories with a range of colours, the interface is clean. It's customizable. Much more, so happy I found it. Even the free version has no ads, incredible. I was happy to pay to upgrade though, extra backup features and support the maker. Well done D Notes, well done :)

I love love love the app and all the features! I love that I can lock notes, personalize everything, attach photos, links, and audios, and write on a checklist or a note. The only thing I would change is to allow us to auto-save our notes without buying premium! My previous phone suddenly broke down and all my notes were lost! I had a lot of important things in there.

Update: I'm wondering if we can categorize notes into more than one category at the same time. I mean like labels. If categories be the same as labels that would be great so we can have one note in more than one category at the same time. Very good and easy app. Like it. Just for reminders it would be great if we have more options in reminders such as every n months or every x y, not limited to the month, week, or year, etc. So for example right now I don't have the option of selecting every three months in reminders. Thanks again.

This app is great, with two constructive caveats that I think the developer should really consider: 1. The in app camera function is pretty horrible. Accessing the phone's native camera is something to look into. The pictures are blurry and the color grading is poor 2. Consider a history function where instead of deleting notes you can "check" them as "completed". Im sure im not the only one who uses this as a todo list as well. Otherwise, great app. Very intuitive. Free version is generous.

i bought the pro version in order to use the autosync feature. but to my dismay, it does not show when to sync. so i am in the dark when exactly the sync will take place. the changes simply don't show up across devices. i end up having to manually restore backup on my other devices to reflect the changes on one device. i have no idea why i paid in the first place. the lack of syncing across devices is simply huge time-waster. i am switching to other apps now.

Update: Still loving this app March 2019! I installed this when Evernote froze up. While it does not have folders and tags, it has been completely reliable. The UX is good. Reminders work well. All it lacks is folders. It uses far less space than Evernote did. I also like that it does not require intrusive permissions in my phone. This is a big plus!

Excellent note taking app that allows you not only to save notes in text form, but also record audio and take pictures. Ad free and the best feature is how customizable it is! There is color coding which is not only athletically pleasing, but handy. You can also back up your notes to your SD card, Google drive or export data. All in all an absolute keeper!

I was looking for a replacement note app to replace one that has not been maintained in several years. I compared about 10 different note apps. This seemed to have almost as much functionality as my old note app. The one thing it had that this app lacks is a more robust checklist capability. It had both simple checklist and durable checklists, which had three states: all, need, and completed. That was very useful for recurring use, such as a packing list or a shopping list.

Still mostly like the app. However - sync doesn't work. Copy and paste only works occasionally. Split screen is not supported. All numbers are converted to phone numbers - super annoying! But don't waste your time trying to contact the developers. They are totally unresponsive. Any suggestions, questions and feedback go unanswered.

The app is comparable to other note apps. It only varies from functionality and mb. However, the size of a picture being imported in a text note were not designed to resize, compress and crop. How I wish the title and body of a text note have different fonts for every note. The lock feature is limited from which all of your notes is composed of only one password. Also, when you backup your files, the password becomes visible and useless. And there are too more to mention. Yet, this app is great

This is a great note taking app, the best I've found for sure! It allows you to create categories and customize the look of the categories for all of your notes. You can set your notes for each category to all be the same color, with many color schemes to choose from. There are many other useful features like search, sort, views, and much more! My favorite thing is that you can biometrically lock the notes with your fingerprint.

I love this! To be able to customize the color, attach files, easily copy and paste text via clipboard ,make recipes, grocery and tasks checklists, make appointments. I use this everyday. It is almost perfect. Part of my wish list is that the chosen sound/ tone under reminders would play not just once but loop at least every few seconds at least 3 to 5 times or have the option of choosing our own ringtone. Currently the best note app there is. I love being able to quickly and easily write a note or jot down some of my thoughts. Each note is individually lockable, which is useful. There's also the ability to switch between a text note and a checklist at any time. It's exactly what I want out of a note app and it has really helped me organize myself better, which I highly value. A few tweaks and it would be perfect. Thanks!

I've tried several note apps, and this is the one I've settled on as best for me. As a writer who travels, having a note taking app on hand, to do exactly what I need it to do, when I need to do it, is crucial. The only thing I miss is the ability to have an auto-update to the cloud. It backs up to my SD card automatically, however, and I can manually back up to the cloud, so this is a minor quibble. Edit: just noticed the reply to this, saying how auto updates to my Google drive will be in the next app update - this is wonderful news, many thanks. Such a fantastic app (shall be blogging about it soon). Thanks again.

I actually underestimated this app at first because of my experience dealing with other mediocre writing apps that I use for varies means over the years. This one reminds me of Evernote and that a good thing. Apps like these are simply the best to plan out your projects, stories, and ideas. All in one place that's easy to transport and access as you see fit, cause you'll never know when that next big idea will hit you.

An easy 5 stars. I love good design and this is great design. It's a bit like Pinterest but more flexible. E.g. I can add not just one but several pictures above notes or a checklist (so useful), and I can add voice, and I can change the box colour to match my pictures, and other stuff too. My notes just got beautiful. The more I use it the more I love it.

I like D notes so much. one can add all files and notes at one place. please add the option for long press to drag and move the note so that it will become very convenient to move the particular note and change the sequence of notes as needed. please make this change as early as possible. Thank you for making such a quality app.

It great app which does as advertised. It has all the options a note taking app needs. I love the clean minimal UI and the dark mode functionality (with good colours... Typically the colours are sort of dull but not with this one). I do wish there was an option to add bulleted/numbered lists and to format the text... Other than these minor issues the app is one of the best out there...

Works well, keeps notes organized, and offers a different experience than other note-takers, -makers. It can handle long notes, cut and paste into and out of is straightforward. It has very easy to use Share capabilities,that work very well. I also like the view options, tiled or scrolling, and all the other filtering or organizational possibilities. It certainly has a place among notetaking and creating apps.

This app is very well done, functional and quite deserves a 5 star rating. Nevertheless I will be removing it as it is just a bit too simple for my needs in terms of the lack of nested tasks/notes and different display modes that are more display "efficient" than visually oriented. But give it a shot - I actually did not want to remove it. 🙂

So far this is the best note application I have ever tried. But please add the following features to the next update: 1) give more option to export and backup feature not only text but also pdf so we can print or read it in other devices as the text backup is useless; 2) options to display categories in tab view; 3) more options for text formatting (font, attributes (bold, italic,...).

I had Google Keep simply because you can use it and edit across different devices so I could edit my shopping list on my son tablet then have it on my phone when I go to the supermarket but then they updated and it was ugly. They changed the font and everything smh. 5 minutes later I found this app. I love the fact that you can use colors for the different things you start and you can also change to different fonts. ALSO I'm able to back it up to Google drive and restore it on any other device so for me it's a WIN!

Just download this 2 days ago and I'm already in love with it. Very easy to use, you can find the notes you delete. It can speak aloud the text so I don't have to read my notes (I can zoned out and don't know where I was at). No ads shown in this app so good, unlike other apps have lots of ads and disturb me. Well done D Notes for making a good app! But I wish you can highlights, please add highlights :)
