Finally support for dads! This app is fantastic. I've got a 6 and 2 year old and wished is had this app when they were born! That doesn't mean it's not useful now, far from it! The ability to not only get help and advice but to also provide some input for future or new dad's is great. It's a great place to just have a rant too. Being able to share and to see that there are a lot of people in the same boat is reassuring. Absolutely recommend this app to new and future dad's as a must have!
Brilliant app. Everything I've needed to know. I'd imagine I'll be using it a lot more in the coming months when I'll be tapping into all the other features which look great. All sorts of stuff for everything you might need. Chat rooms, streams, advice, all in a well set up app. Loads of support from others in similar positions. Great giveaways too
Found out you're having a baby & wondering what to do next? This app has all the answers & if it doesn't all you need to do is ask. This app has an incredible network of dads with no experience or loads of it. I've found an incredible support network being a soon to be 1st time dad & it's been very useful. Other dads, come on down!
Just joined. The app itself is well made, easy to navigate and intuitive. Only app I found where I can talk to other dads and get help and advice from real people with real experience. From informative to fun posts, you got it all. There's also giveaways and discounts on some stuff which is a good bonus. Seems like most dads are from the UK but there are different groups for different countries too. Really love it.
Only giving this app a 1 star as I've not managed to experience the app properly. I registered and confirmed my email address through the link provided, logged in and filled in the 'about me' page that it directs you to, it brings up the loading circle but never goes any further. Frustrating. I've tried several times and waited 5-10 minutes but one time.
It's so good to finally find a space to connect with and find support from fellow dads, the app is packed with so many resources, deals and even some fun chats to get you laughing, I especially find the mental health and wellbeing section very helpful, it's good to know you're not alone and have others in similar situations to talk to, very excited to watch this app grow and evolve into something even better!!!!
I had trouble getting into DadAF in the first place. It was stuck on the "profile details" entry page & sat there for weeks unused but sending me notifications. I think it was because I hadn't put a unique name in the username field, but it doesn't tell you what is wrong, it just won't save. When I filled it out with different details it went straight in. Everything I've seen yet is aimed at dads of expecting, newborn or toddler ages, not for school aged. Great app for new dads.
Unable to access any content - app freezes when imputting personal detail at the beginning. Push notifications work, but I'm not able to read the articles then for to the above issue. Tried multiple times, but had to ultimately uninstall.
Only just heard of this 8 months after having a baby. If only I had known earlier. Excellent for dad's and dads to be. Everything seems to be for mums but finally a decent app for dads that can share their frustration, ideas and general knowledge all in one place.
I found Dad AF a few months back, and I have to say it's fantastic! I don't have any Dad friends and this has allowed me to network with other Dad's in numerous subjects like mental health, relationships, and just sharing Dad tips and experiences. This app is now part of my daily routine not only for myself but to help others. I'm so glad this app exists as I found when becoming a new Dad there is not really a support network like there is for Mums! Thanks so much Dad AF! 5 stars from me 👽
Fantastic App. About time there was somewhere for dad's to have their say or get some help from others in the same situations. It's definatley helped me and I've had the opportunity to help others. Easy to use and really well put together. Would highly recommend any dad's out there to give this app a go
After installing the app I created a profile and that was as far as I could go. After clicking "Done" nothing would happen or it would load for ages... I tried force stopping the app and restarting my mobile then try again but no luck, I did however get an email to say profile was created.
I was looking to find an app similar to my wife's app for new/expecting mothers. I downloaded this not sure as to how serious it seemed. Even though the UK is the prime target, the expansion into the US is happening and it feels great to be part of it. The comradeship is there, the diversity is there, the feel that you are actually talking to real people is there. This app/group is young and just waiting to grow. We are here, for each other. 10/10, 5* out of 5*, would recommend to any new dad.
Struggle with talking to other dads, as none of my close friends have kids. But this app is great! Reminds me that I'm not the only one in the world struggling with all the various challenges that having a little one brings! Great community and support 👏
Downloaded the app, created an account, and then the screen stuck on a white blank screen. I'm still giving it 5 stars based on the description and what it is intended for, because I'm really looking forward to using it, but it is not working for me at the moment.
App pushes notifications that when clicked on does not direct to the link, but the home page. Other than that pretty easy to navigate and a vast amount of information
Absolutely wonderful app! Such a great idea, bringing Dad's together, uniting against a scary world sharing advice, experiences and joy! This app helped me at a time where I was very low and I recommend it to all Dad's (step fathers, guardians etc...) and Dad's to be. The app is easy to use.
Found this app through suggested on Facebook, its easy to navigate and has a great community so far. Its something that's been missing for many years in my opinion, women always talk to eachother about everything but not very often do men talk about anything like mental health, stresses of work, marriage, friends or being a dad. Im fairly new to the app but there's alot in it that can help you vent anything that you can't to your other half or friends and help you become DAD AF 😀
Great for dads! I've tried a few apps and most are pretty dumb with things like "your baby is the size of a waterbug, now go out and chop wood like the lumber jack you are" and other nonsense that does not help a new dad prepare for their child in any way. Dad AF offer a lot of helpful resources along with support groups and chats with others in similar situations to yours. Its great to have support at your fingertips. Only downside, its a UK app so heavy on UK law and insight.
Supportive and great for new dads! In particular the section on mental health. I didn't realise how much my mental health could be effected especially when children are involved and balancing work/home life but this app is incredible and allows you to connect with other dads going through the same things!
Just been dipping in and out really but so far its been really good, easy to navigate and different sections for different ages so can see posts more relevant to your experiences. Its a great place to share advice and tips or just say hello
::EDIT:: After a quick response from the team at DAD AF, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I am based in the US, and that may have been part of the issue. I was able to log in, edit my info, and get into the app and begin browsing. Given the prompt response from the team, the limited content I have seen, and other reviews, I have changed to a 5 star. As a dad content creator, I have high hopes to expanding all dad supportive media. Thanks guys!
This looked like a great community to be part of. If I could get past the first screen. I've tried several times to get in. But wont go past the about me page and keeps trying to load. Can't get in, but I get notifications everyday like I'm in the app
I thought the app was free to use with optional in-app purchases. The listed amounts are for monthly and yearly subscriptions, which are required to use the app. I recommend changing name to Paywall by Dad AF.
