Daikin One Home

Pretty easy to use. The only issue I have is that the home or away geofencing settings never works without manual intervention. I have to turn off the setting and back on again to get it to function when traveling in or out of the geofence area. That convenience setting is useless. Hopefully will be fixed in an update.

Last year we purchased a Daikin fit air conditioner. The unit itself is compact, quiet, and fairly comfortable. Unfortunately the ac unit requires you to use the Daikin one+ thermostat, which is a piece of junk. It is slow, cheap feeling, and doesn't integrate with any smart home platform except for Alexa (and a very bare bones integration at that). The Daikin fit app on its own is ok, though geofencing is super buggy and it is pretty unintuitive. However, the thermostat it works with is awful.

The thermostat drops offline almost monthly. And then it doesn't know what the WIFI and password are, so pull out your microscopic fingers and type it all in via the microscopic keypad! The app would work better if the thermostat would stay online. The app could improve with better information such as power consumption, a fan timer, etc. The entire Daikin interface is wonky!

Ac unit installed this day, went to set up the app but it needs a code from the Daikin One cloud to authorise the thermostat on my phone. Only problem is it will connect to WiFi but can't reach the cloud to authorize. Physical unit won't accept date and time inputs so I'm stuck here without the ability to setup any scheduling.

Cannot access the field on your setup page to enter the account verification code! Can only see half of the 'enter code' field! And it will not rotate or resize on my Google Pixel 3a phone. So cannot use your Daikin One Home app! The Heating system is not cheap and expected a better app that works properly. Very Frustrating!

This would be great if it wasn't constantly going offline. I love that I can program the thermostat. But the app goes offline, so I am not able to change the temp in the house when I am not home. I have called 3 times to get this fixed. Still not working

I like the look of the unit, it's got some navigation issues and bugs. There's a setting where the adjust is supposed to return to schedule after a set amount of time, but it just doesn't work. When using the back button, sometimes you'll be sent to the outer most window. Additionally, it's like they didn't plan this for consumers as the top most menu is a selection menu for which thermostat you want, well I've only got one and I'll never have more so this menu is just annoying.

My biggest frustration with this app is that when I set a temporary schedule override, it NEVER automatically reverts back to the scheduled routine. The app is not very intuitive, and difficult to program. I also wish there were a feature to let me know how long the AC or heater have run within a given time period, to allow me a better understanding of my energy consumption. Some relatively minor improvements to user interface and reliability would make a huge difference with this app.

The app is not user friendly. I dislike how many screens I have to go through to be able to change the temperature. If I'm in the settings menu and tap the back button at the top of the menu, it takes me back to select which thermostat I want to control, not the last menu set. This app is a real disappointment. It feels like it was thrown together just to give some functionality to the HVAC system controls. The app gets two stars because without it, the whole system would really be unusable.

Up until now the app was fairly usable, however now there is no way to login which makes it completely useless. In addition I would like to echo what others have said in that the back button goes all the way back to the main menu instead of just one menu back, which gets frustrating. One feature that I would seriously love if it were implemented is the ability to keep track of my usage especially if it could keep track of gas and electric usage. Update: I am now able to login again

User interface isn't great. Back button doesn't do what it's supposed to. The home screen for the thermostat should let you adjust thr temp directly. You can't rearrange the thermostat order once you add it, so best to add the them from the top of the building down if you have multiple. When adjusting the temperature in the adjust menu, it doesn't override the schedule like it says it will. There's no way to give someone else access to the thermostats, you have to share accounts.

*Edit as promised* The developers did indeed correct the error I was experiencing. I can confirm that the app is functioning properly, and I have full control. Thank you! *Previous* Multiple devices crashing upon trying to add my home location to the app. There does not appear to be a web based interface available, so, my One+ thermostat is a dumb one at best. Developers contacted, and glad to review again if it becomes functional.

Fabulous hardware. App could use some improvements. The interface feels very new and raw - undeveloped. You can always access what's needed so no worries there. But the way you'll go about getting to that info will feel burdensome. I will give the developer time to improve on this. The thermostat and system is truly 21st century. I'm sure the app will eventually catch up to that. Looking forward to future updates.

Takes some getting used to, but works well enough. I wish I could set the temperature by typing in the numbers - dragging the bars one degree is too hard. I also wish I could schedule changes to the fan speed, instead of scheduling temperature changes only. Still, it does what I need it to do.

Thermostat and app are connected to the wifi but won't connect One Cloud to allow use of the app. Can't get the code to connect.

It has only been 24 hours since my Daikin Fit and Daikin One Plus install. So far it is working great. I will report if I start having issues later. The installer told me that they were having issues with 5Ghz wifi, so he set the thermostat up with 2.4Ghz. It was slow doing all the updates to the systems and the screen took a while to come up. After it was set up and all was working, I moved it to 5Ghz. The screen response is much faster than on 2.4 Ghz. I have 2 ASUS routers access points.

AC was installed yesterday. Downloaded this app as per the instructions given and unable to create an account to actually use it. App, therefore, is unusable... well, the ability to write text in fields appears to function superbly! If you're a new user and LOVE writing text in fields and looking at errors when you tap the done button, then this app is for you!

This app bleeds off the screen. Why can't I see the whole thing on the page where you adjust the temperature? Also, the back button functionality is super flawed. Feels like this was an app ported over from iOS. Update: getting better. Need to add ability to adjust fan speed.

Brutal app to run. Recently it has logged me out and wont allow me to log in again, like there is no button to even try logging in. App routinely loses connection with thermostat, horrible layout for doing scheduling and very touchy. No setting for when you manually change temp for it to fall back to schedule in say 2, 4 or 6 hours for example.

The most ridiculous thing is setting up your account. They send you an email and give you one minute to respond using a phone or tablet. I had to use both a computer and a phone to be able to respond quickly enough. They should give you 10 minutes to respond!

Without warning, app now doesn't work. Make a temperature adjustment? The thermostat doesn't register it. Try to turn off the schedule? Nope, it reverts back to the schedule that you just turned off. I can make adjustments at the thermostat, but the app is now worthless and doesn't make any changes.

Downloaded this app after our hvac unit was installed back in May and it has worked wonderfully! However, just recently, about 2 weeks ago, every time I use my app it tells me my "thermostat is offline" and I'm unable to adjust the temp even when standing next to the wall mount. I'm not sure what is going on with it but it's driving me crazy!

I have created an account and it wants a code. I have the code but it won't let me enter it! What a waste of time. You need to fix the app!

Coming from a Nest to this feels like a downgrade but it's not bad. I had no issues with setup and my new Daikin system is excellent. I wish Daikin had better API documentation for smart home integration

Your app is still user unfriendly coming from a nest. Update: thanks for fixing the the issue with the permissions. I understand the slider for the temperature but little arrows to bump the temperature up or down one would be very a nice addition. It would be really nice on the first page/home tab.

App worked well on my old phone. The geo fence function never worked. I always had to manually set it to Away or Home. Hard to do while driving. Upgraded my phone, and now I can't even log in. For the past month, it has been telling me to try again later when I try to reset my password.

App stopped responding to thermostat, even though everything was connected (Daikin One Cloud and WiFi) I reset the thermostat and the app is now responding. I emailed Daikin support and they responded right away. go to settings > configuration > system components > thermostat, reset at the bottom. Hopefully, this helps you.

This Daikin app is horrible and I want my Nest thermostat back! The Nest worked flawlessly, was easy to navigate, never needed rebooting and most importantly all the features worked as advertised. The Daikin needs rebooting frequently, is not intuitive, doesn't recognize my new phone for geofencing purposes, and doesn't list the heat pump ("no shared data") as part of the system components. The dealer can't help me as he admits he doesn't understand the thermostat either, or why on his own Daikin thermostat the furnace is not identified. Daikin advertises an integrated system of exceptional quality, it should be embarrassed by this rubbish.

The thermostat was very expensive, and unfortunately not very optimized. I previously had an Ecobee, and the app was better optimized. If Daikin makes these corrections, I will rate this app better. Here are the current problems I see: 1) When connected to Google Assistant, either through the Google Home app or via voice command on a Google Home Mini, the Daikin app only recognizes Fahrenheit and not Celsius. 2) On the Daikin One thermostat, when a screensaver is enabled, the digital clock shows in the 24-hour format. It cannot be configured to display a 12-hour format with AM and PM. 3) Touch response on the thermostat has a slow response rate. It's delayed by at least 0.5 to 1 second. This results in multiple buttons being registered at the wrong times. 4) Would be nice if home screen displayed useful information such as outdoor weather, air quality index, and humidity. This is how Ecobee does it, and it's something the Daikin One thermostat is already capable of. 5) No vacation mode.

Looks good but does not work right. Regardless of what setting I try it says 68 degrees. I miss my old programmable thermostat--this one is junk. The more I use it the more I hate it. The geofencing is worthless-- has yet to work correctly.
