Additional functions such as easy set timers, configuration settings, Dealer contact details and maintenance functions are also provided. If a Daikin Zone Controller is fitted to the air conditioner, the naming and remote control of zone dampers is also supported. Depending on the model of air conditioner, indoor and outdoor temperature is also displayed.
If you do not have a home or local Wi-Fi network available, the SKYFi interface will act as a Wi-Fi Access Point and support a single Wi-Fi connection from your Android device (provided the Android device is within range).
If you do have a home or local Wi-Fi network available, the SKYFi interface can be easily configured from the App to join your home or local Wi-Fi network by entering the Wi-Fi network ID and password. In this configuration, multiple Android devices can access the air conditioner while retaining their Wi-Fi access to other devices on the network.
If the home or local Wi-Fi network has permanent connection to the Internet, it is possible to control the air conditioner from anywhere in the world where Internet access is available to your Android device. There is no Daikin subscription cost for this service, however local network access charges may apply.
This application requires a compatible Daikin Air Conditioner fitted with Daikin Wi-Fi Remote Control Interface BRP15A61. The zone control functionality also requires the Daikin Air Conditioner to be fitted with a Daikin Zone Controller (model BRC24Z4, BRC24Z8, BRC230Z4 or BRC230Z8) along with associated zone control dampers.
The interface and App also supports Daikin light commercial (Sky Air) split systems such as under-ceiling and cassette models. If the indoor unit has a swing louver function, the App will recognise this and provide an additional air flow direction button and indication symbol.
Compatible Daikin Air Conditioners are most ducted split systems and light commercial systems less than 10 years old.

Absolutely useless app support. app doesn't work on my Note 8. it never worked on 4G, I always needed to be connected to the same IP WAN to use SkyFi functions. I have paid big money to a project home builder for this just over 1 year ago and could never use it properly.
One star too good this app is extremely unreliable for connecting to your airconditioner paid over $600 for the module and rarely get any chance of using it. Would never purchase any daiken product based on this experience.
Popup notification about connection lost appears in a loop on top of all other apps. Have to force close to stop it. App not updated since 2013.
Abandoned by Daikin, now 9 years since the last update. Paid nearly $500 for the SkyFi unit and this is how Daikin Australia deliver value on that: A 3rd rate mobile app a student would be ashamed of, never updated.
Update the bloody thing. New phone and it says it works on an older version of Android. Will not find any wifi network Fix the f@*% thing. For a company like daikin, this is not acceptable
Really worst app if I can give 0 star then I would like to give that, not user friendly and nothing coming up to connect the controller. In the manual they gave id and PW but not asking at all.
Ever since the day it was installed it was pretty useless.Just had the tech out got charged $130 for him to tell me it is useless but out of warranty. Please buy another for $450. Daikin don't help if their product is garbage
The app used to work OK until I upgraded my phone to a Pixel 3. Now refuses to connect. Daikin please update the app to work with current operating systems.
Spewing i even have to give it 1 star. Whole reason i bought this system was the to be able turn on air conditioning from out of the house to walk in to a cool house. Shithouse
Problems connecting to aircon. Trying to connect message overlays on top of everything on screen making difficult to even type
This app needs to be updated. Unable to connect to existing WiFi. I get a blank white screen when I try.
Terrible. When it works it works, but half the time it doesn't work... Not good enough and it's a 1000 dollar add on. Daikin, do you have anything to say???
This was last updated almost 6yrs ago. Perhaps it time to give it some love? Maybe One UI compatible?

It's not bad enough you pay for skyfi but the after sales help was non existent. Very poor .

Constantly trying to connect and brings up an error message overlay on top of whatever you're looking at, even if you're not in the app. Super slow and outdated. Please do something Daikin, we paid good money for this system!!
