This is a good app honestly, you learn a lot and it's free. Though I would suggest that in review you make the 'incorrect' button functional, there's only correct characters everytime and you can scramble them to make it more efficient for review. Also I noticed, I think the pronunciation in the 儿 character is wrong, it was pronounced 'ren' when it should be 'er'. That's all

This app is the best when it comes to learning chinese with flashcards! It's simple and effective, the UI is pretty and helps me focus better too. I prefer sorted vocab packs, as they do exist here! I wish this app featured other languages too, ones like japanese or russian (has there been any thought of expanding or will the team solely focus on chinese with this concept?) Every chinese learner should definitely give this app a try!

Dude, why this app needs internet connection? Fix that. Also, the Text-and-Speech doesn't work on me, I need to configure... try to add native pronunciation. And finally, example sentences. But just by fixing the offline thing I will give you 5 starts.

I've spent much time looking for apps to help me remember basic Chinese vocabulary that are not overwhelmed with ads! Thank you! I like that it has an SRS system built in and has categorised vocabulary for absolute beginners (me) through to more users. I'm going to stick with this for a while and see how much vocab I can recall after one month! I like to current features, audio, simplified characters and pinging too. I like how the phrase is made up and explained. Going forward I'd like to record my own voice, and have some colour please! Oh, and thanks for your prompt response to a query.

A very good app! It's simple, intuitive, and it really helps with vocabulary! My only suggestion is that the words and idioms should come with an example of how to use them. It doesn't have to be super complex, just a phrase or two using the word. I memorized many idioms, but I never use them, because I'm unsure how to fit them in a dialogue. Other than that, fantastic app! Highly recommend!

I personally love how organized the app is, it's easy to navigate and the lessons themselves are well put together. The only problem I have is I can't seem to get my text to speach working. I don't know if it's the app or my phone but it doesn't seem to work. Besides that this is an excellent app, I'd recommend it to anyone learning chinese mandarin. (I fixed the problem, if anyone is having trouble try to change your autofill service to google then it should work)

I’d like to thank the developers for not adding ads in the app. It can be quite annoying, especially when you’re in the middle of memorizing or learning. The app’s not that complicated either. Simple and free! Now I can finally learn Chinese and improve my vocabulary. Thank you and keep up the great work! ( ◜‿◝ )♡

App with a great concept and design, but rather buggy. For the most part, the review and flashcards work as intended, but sometimes the cards glitch out (cards get stuck and I need to exit and resume) and the audio doesn't always match the word properly. The account creation doesn't work either (I've tried both the email and google option). Additional features such as card order randomization and dark mode would be nice. Despite it's flaws the app definitely is a great tool for learning Chinese!

Great app. An improvement would be to add the ability to change the order the dailies are shown on the "dailies" screen. It would help when I have a lot of packs added to be able to move the ones Im using the most to the top of the list. Also similarly the "active packs" list on the account section would benefit from a "sort by" option, like "sort by percentage known". They seem to be shown in a totally random order which means I need to scroll a lot if I have a lot of active packs.

edit: fixed! 5 stars Seems very smooth and clean, love that it has a lot of vocabulary packs and all that for free!However, I'd have to give this 2 stars for now since I have the issue of not being able to hear the words, since it's telling me to select Google TTS even though I've already activated that function. Until then, I'm unable to rate it higher.

This looked interesting, but there is no speech. It tells me I need to change my settings in the text to speech engine from Samsung to Google, but it is already Google and I do not even have a Samsung phone to begin with. I have had over 100 language learning apps on my phones over the years (easily over two dozen on this particular phone) and not one ever needed me to change anything. Not sure if this is an app issue or a phone issue, but I can not give a better review until this is fixed.

Simple and really nice to use! I had a few criticisms last time I reviewed, but a lot has been fixed now and there doesn't seem to be any glaring bugs (from my end at least). The variety of word packs is really great and the online one is especially relevant (really unlikely that I'm gonna find anything like that in a dusty textbook).

Great app. Loving the packs so far, simple & organized interface. My only problem is that whenever I'm encountering new words, there's this red bar at the bottom that fluctuates a lot & it gets really distracting. Sometimes after reviewing, the app would encounter some error & would not register my study for the day/the cards won't flip at all. I would like to suggest Dark Mode and perhaps faster touch response between flipping cards and pressing the buttons. I'll rate 5* once the bugs are fixed

It's really good and I love this app! Can not recommend it enough and I highly suggest giving this app a run through for a week. It has definitely helped me improve. Set audio to manual in settings, though. But, two bugs I see happening is: 1. if you move too fast with notecards it will not respond to the card flipping. 2. First time experiencing this, but I can't complete today's noteword in beginner series 1 for 这. It's my final card and it refuses to move on after hitting correct 4+ times.

I'd say this app is pretty good, content-wise and UI-wise. I also really like the clarity of the audio. However, sometimes when I click on a set to use it, the first flashcard will freeze and won't turn to show the meaning. When that happens I have to exit the app, and try again. I hope this bug gets fixed!

Very satisfied with the performance of the app! Helps me to be persistent and to memorize more than I did before. The design is simple and straight forward, there aren't any unnecessary distractions. I've had an issue with the pronunciation of characters in the app and customer service quickly helped me out. 5 stars service. Highly recommend this app to all Chinese learners. Will definitely help those preparing for HSK such as myself.

Good flashcard app, has several wordpacks you can choose from to start learning new vocab according to your interests (tech, football, politics, etc) . For now it only tests you for characters, there are no audio tests and no English to Chinese tests. The flashcards also show no example sentences so you're learning out of context. Overall positive

This app is nice! Pretty design and a lot of different areas to learn, just wish they had example sentences. Without example sentences it's difficult to understand a lot of the phrases and words sometimes. Other than that this app is a good place to learn more chinese!

The design is gorgeous and straight to the point. Please keep it free. I haven't got far, but the vocabulary at the beginning is really simple for even beginners to start off. Just a little background, I learned Mandarin Chinese in high school for 2 years and this was a great refresher on the words I almost forgot. Developer presented this in a forum as "I made an app to supplement Duolingo (Beautiful new app) " and mentions the word packs etc. While it certainly looks nice, this app doesn't complement the other. To *supplement* Duolingo I would at least expect word packs specifically based on their lessons, so that I could review my vocabulary as individual words and phrases. This app is a separate vocabulary from Duolingo; not what I was looking for. I won't take stars off, but maybe I'll reinstall later.

I would like to give a 5 stars rate but the update disable the sound of each word. Would it b great if you can fix that again guys. Keep doing your best 🤘🤘

My main issue with this app is that it frequently gets stuck on a certain card while I'm reviewing and I can't move on. It will just keep on displaying the same card over and over again. I have to wait until the daily reset to fix this problem. It's pretty annoying and frustrating. Other than that, it's a good app but could be better.

Very useful for reviewing Chinese, although when I try to multitask in the middle of a review, it restarts the app. Edit: changed the rating, thanks for reaching out! Found out it was my battery optimization causing the issue. I like the app very much. Learned quite a few words already!

I really love the design and how simple and minimalist it is (too much distractions in design is something i personally dislike in some apps) what i want to see more is more detailed meanings and definitions and if also possible, examples when used in a sentence😄 i also experienced when i start the pack/series it becomes buggy and glitchy on the outer parts so its kinda disturbing but really besides that i just really enjoy using it and i am a huge fan of the designs 😊 they make it enjoyable

I like this app very much, because it's simple and useful . The only reason I gave 4*: there are many words with similar meaning, but no sample sentences with different meaning/use. Sometimes it could be just crucial. The same thing is with idioms. Today I also found a pronunciation mistake. Every learner (especially advanced ones) could endorse it. If you could fix/add/extend it, it would be just perfect. 加油！

I've been using this app for 5 months now and I just wanna change my review. This app is really good because it's simple and easy to use. However, I do hope there will be options which recommends you to study a certain word after 3 days, a week, something like that. Also, I hope you could add some context to the words to make it more efficient

Looks like a nice to user interface, but currently the app is unusable on the OnePlus 7Pro. I can add a pack, and open a daily, but when presented with a new word, the app does not respond to inputs. My phone and app are both to the latest software version.
