I updated my account with new card now it won't let me read all stories. I pay waaay too much for this to happen.

Why aren't there updated opinion articles? They are still posted from February!
This is ridiculous. Thier web-based paper has been sub par for years and now they are going to ask you to pay for the same garbage? No thanks.
I've been a fan of The DNJ for several years now, and even worked there as a reporter for a stint between 2008 and 2013. I know the app isn't as flashy as some other ones on the market but I can assure you that the people who generate the content for this app are good, honest human beings doing their best to report on the goings on of Rutherford County. The result is page after page of solid, local content.
This is a news app and a basic one at that. No landscape viewing. Also, seems like you could keep your online presence free through advertising, both web and app. Just a thought.
App is free to download but it cost to use. Uninstalling. Rip off!
Only a free trial. Don't put "free" on app when it is only a trial.
It's great
I got it so that I could get notifications of things happening in the area (such as gas leaks, etc). More and more now it pops up with stuff that I don't care about that is just drama and not really news and even if I click to open the article up I'm immediately hit by a pay wall on things that are important. I'm uninstalling it now and going with a broader area news app because at least they don't lock out articles. I suggest going for ads if you need the money like everyone else.
