Daily POP Crosswords: Daily Puzzle Crossword Quiz

For a couple of years I have been doing these two crosswords daily. While I understand the need for ads, they are really annoying when they play and then don't go away. Today I had to exit the game and start over 3 times before I even started the puzzle. Much as I love doing crosswords, I'm not going to play this one much longer unless there are some changes soon.

Seriously? An ad before I even get to see (never mind start to play) the VERY FIRST puzzle?! No, just no. Immediately Uninstalled. (Rated two stars instead of one because I'm sure there's a fun app behind the ads, I'm just not willing to pay with either my time and attention OR -- $4.99 *EVERY MONTH* -- to find out!)

This game keeps crashing on me. And the ads pop up waaay too much. It's annoying and not fun anymore. Can't make a move without an ad intruding. I'm uninstalling. Way too many ads.

So these crosswords work on the app whenever it wants to, then constantly crashes. It doesn't matter if I give feedback saying fix the app. This company don't care & only want us to pay, it seems like. If this app doesn't get fixed, I have no choice but to uninstall again.

These puzzles are quite challenging, but this is exactly what I like about them. I quite enjoy challenging my brain and working them out!!

I had this at 4 stars, then 2 because of them pushing the ads and 30 days for $3.99 of ad-free. My final rating is and forever will be 1 star. The game will not load, it crashes on the intro, if you manage to get in it crashes after you watch an ad to start the puzzle. I waited it out, kept trying to get into the game for over a month of this crashing. Today I can't get in to the puzzle no matter how much I try and I see they've been notified of the issue but refuse to fix it. Don't install.

Same problem as everyone else. I just sent the email below to their help desk, waiting to see what their response will be. "I'm experiencing the same problem as *many* other users. The app will open but once I select a puzzle, the app closes and shuts down. I have tried clearing the cache, deleting data, uninstalling, and none of them work. Please let us know if you are working on fixing this issue. Thanks."

Now I can't buy the app to get rid of the ads. Very unfair. I haven't used this app in a long time. Surprise!

I was able to open and play everyday except for the past week. the app keeps crashing at the end of the initial load screen. I've cleared the cache on the app AND my phone along with restarting. nothing worked, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the app is still crashing. I use to love playing, but with the constant crashes, it makes it impossible to even want to TRY to play. otherwise, its decent (despite the fact they use the same clues / answers frequently).

So I have been playing this game for over a year. Loved it, past tense. It has been updated - no longer saves completed games, it says continue playing on each calendar day now, pop up ads are now popping up during game play. Super close to dumping the game and finding a new crossword game. You have taken something which I thoroughly enjoyed, and ruined the experience for me.

This one used to be pretty good. However, some genius decided that there weren't enough ads and decided to add them in randomly during the middle of gameplay. You know that rhythm you just found after solving that one clue? Doesn't matter! Here's an ad! This app should now be used in game design academic programs as an example of incompetent game design. If the stupidly placed ads weren't bad enough, the app is constantly crashing, which results in having to restart the puzzle. Uninstalled.

Have played this game for about 2 years now. Had nearly a year long streak going, then my phone updated to Android 11 and the game stopped working. It loads to about 50-60%, then crashes. I Uninstalled and then reinstalled it, with the same results. I've submitted system reports when this happens, but the issue continues. From what I've read of other reviews, it has been happening to others for several months. Until this snafu, I loved this game, and played every day. I miss my crosswords!

This used to be a fun and challenging app for me, but as of the latest update, where ads pop up in the middle of solving the daily puzzle, it is no longer a pleasant experience for me. These ads make my device freeze and crash at times, not to mention the annoying interruptions they are. I am going to look for an alternative crossword puzzle app. I am very disappointed.

my earlier rating was 5 stars but I have to give this 1 star now (would give it 0 if I could. it constantly crashes and when it does, it sometimes removes whole days of puzzles. so instead of showing, say, 20 days straight. it only shows 2. this is annoying. also the constant crashing makes it no fun to play. I have had this app for months. but feel I must uninstall it as the crashing is too annoying.

Played this game for a while. It wasn't very difficult, but I didn't mind. I enjoy crosswords but I'm not the best at them. I suggest finding somewhere different to play if you're good at crosswords. My biggest issue is that it's impossible to get points via the advertisements. I'm not going to spend money on a game I spend 10 minutes (at most) playing a day. However, it takes that long, if not longer, to get an actual ad to work for 5pts. Disappointing at best until it's fixed.

I like the game but I don't like the fact that you have to give coins to play is a complete turn off. I reinstalled this app for the second time and am pleased with the results. Many good features and accurate clues to puzzles. Not too difficult but challenging for a skilled puzzle solver. Think I'll keep thus app for a good while.

Way too many ads now... was 1, now 3 per game, at least 2 are 30+ seconds and auto open the play store! The last ad is always right before the last letter goes in. I have bought coins to play additional games, but that doesn't count. They now want $5/mo to remove ads... ads they just pumped up to force the need. I played and supported for around 3 years. Very disappointed... They should be ashamed of themselves. I'll abandon all my coins and free puzzles and find a better version.

I am used to solving crosswords one way. All the across, then all the down. This "all over the board, up down, corner at a time" is too aggravating and contrary to what I'm used to. What's more I can't change the settings on "up/down" to something I'M comfortable doing. I uninstalled an app I liked but hadn't played in a month to make room for this one... And wish to God I hadn't. Thanks for nothing. Uninstalling immediately.

I would give 5 stars except it costs 20 coins to turn on show errors every time you start a new puzzle. This is frustrating since the only way to earn coins is through either achievements or watching ads. Then you only earn 5 or 10 coins at a time. Unless you want to spend money. It would be better if the show errors was for an amount of time, like 20 - 30 minutes rather than per puzzle.

It's much easier to get coins which makes the puzzles easier.

Update: I absolutely love this crossword! My fave out of all of them and I have tried them all. Bugs have been worked out and I now have coins occasionally!!! Huge bonus! this used to be one of my favorite games to play. now? well I can't even get it to load without force closing! what happend? I gave it a 2 star because it USED to be good. if the bug is fixed I'll definitely give it 6 stars

I couldn't finish the second puzzle. The way it moves you through the puzzle is completely nonsensical. When you finish a word across, instead of going to the next across, it moves to the down. Then if you go to skip that one... I'm not sure of the pattern. I can't figure it out. I'll stick to my other crossword app.

I really like this app. The crosswords aren't too hard. If you need them, there are a few cheats to choose from. I like the one that shows wrong letters. I'm trying to not use it. Lol. And the cheats cost "20 coins" which you start with about 300. Each day you get the puzzle of the day for zero coins, and can play puzzles from past days for 10 coins. When you're running low on coins, you can watch a short ad for 10 coins. So I just watch 3 ads for each extra game I play. This game is very fun!

I have not been able to play this game for about 2 weeks now. It stays on the opening screen and will not advance. I have emailed them twice, they respond with a question about my OS version, I answer back, but that is all I receive. I had a daily streak of around 950, but now its gone because I can't access this game. Tried reinstalling, did not work.

Keeps crashing. I have been playing this game for quite some time and all of the sudden the last few weeks it'll look like it's loading and then it'll sit there and just drop out. This has happened fairly consistently. I have uninstalled the app several times and it might work once or twice after that but now it's just not booting up at all.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This used to be a great crossword app. I looked forward to playing it every day. But with the latest update they added ads DURING THE GAME! I didn't mind the ads before a match or right after, but to force me to watch ADS DURING A GAME or pay an unreasonable amount MONTHLY to not watch ads, well I'd rather uninstall the game. Bummer because I have played this for years and even would participate in the "free coins" offers to play other games advertised.

A good puzzle/word game. Passes time, so far it hasn't ask for money lol.

I look forward to playing this game daily and beating challenges, but the last 3 days I have been unable to get on. It will load then exit me out. I write this after deleting and redownloading for the same thing to happen. I'm going to delete it and lose all my progress since I'm unable to play... Guess I'll download a different app even though this was always my favorite. No point in it taking up space if I'm unable to play it at all.

Used to be a fun app. but with the update it's unusable. App crashes and won't load and the few times it does load way too many ads now. I've read other reviews and your answer is " we're not seeing that issue". with so many having crash issues an mid game ads you need better techs. I'm a long time player but those good Ole days are gone....
