Daily Report

Used to be a great news reader. But in the last few days you click on an article, screen goes blank, the the story opens up but it has all the ads like the website and you spend too much time trying to read the article between ALL THE ADS! At least on my laptop I can use an ad blocker but not in the app. Also Drudge is about to be deleted from my news reads as its gotten too LIBERAL. The app might have to go as well with the new changes. All I wanted was to be able to read the news, no ads

Newest version opens with only pictures showing. To get the words to show you have to tap a blank area then return. The words are then visible. Update: the app is fixed so I updated my review. The Daily Report provides me access to many of my favorite news sources. I really appreciate the ability to view different news sources in one app.

Highly recommend. This has become my main news app! The additional feeds section provides even more content. For those liking/not liking Drudge, please note that the feed (or any others) can be turned on or off in the settings area. With the last update, Drudge was turned off. I just went into the settings and toggled it back on.

I would like the paid option to remove the ads. I can look at news with ads anytime anywhere -- I've purchased revision after revision of this app over and over -- and I don't care about the price... I just want the option to pay to make the idiot ads go away. Reply to developer: Make a subscription app! I would pay $1.99 a month, maybe $2.50....

Tech support, after a forced update top android 11 on my Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra, when I get the "back" button, your app takes a single touch and mimics a double touch. Wherever you are in the app, hitting the back button once, and you go straight back to the first page and reloads everything.

I would give the app a 5-star rating except for one small thing. The slot machine style ads at the bottom of each page are very annoying. I don't mind ads on each page but the spinning nature of the slot machine destroys my experience. I will leave an article and find something that has a static ad. Do something to get rid of the Annoying ads and you will have my attention.

I love the app, I'm able to view news from multiple sources. I find it perfect for in the morning with my cup of coffee. However, the pictures do not load when I have opened article within the app. Instead, I have to open and load the article on my web browser before I'm able to see the pictures associated with it, I wish they would fix that.

I like everything at one site from all over ...it would be nice to be able zoom in on heading pics or to be able to save the photos on our own on our phones to use for Twitter or send to contacts in our phones I dont like it when it's the same article with a new heading ... some news sources I would rather not give them the clicks they do not deserve for peddling propaganda but I understandably everything cant be perfect and instead of 1 or 2'3 hours ago on comments better to put timestamps ??

Good app, excellent news sources; the ads at the bottom of each article are annoying. I've paid before to have this app ad-free. I'll pay $ to get rid of them again. Developer, no more excuses. Ad-free, get it done. (Update: Thanks for the ad-free version!)

Despite the fact that I received a contact back regarding my review of the small print on 11/17/19 that it was fixed. It unfortunately has not been fixed. Changing the apps print settings to extra large has absolutely no affect on the small type. I can see why this app is so poorly rated.

Never got a resolution. Paid for this app twice developer keeps changing his name and then you have to rebuy what you already owned. Why do I have to keep reinstalling this app then paying for a new paid version this is the second or third time this has happened. Do I get a refund for the first two times?

Note 8: I can't leave comments without it being a big hassle now. the stylus doesn't work on the comment field, and my finger only works half of the time. update - still not fixed. UPDATE: I can use my stylus again for comments! It takes several times tapping the comment field, but it does work again which is good enough for me - thank you!

Quite often links provided in articles don't function. The whole app appears pretty amateurish from a programmer's perspective. I like what they try to do. They just don't do it very well.

Will not stay in night mode. it used to, but something changed. it also opens the actual news article sometimes instead of staying in the app. used to be a 5 star app, but has gone down hill. The night mode has been fixed.

Drudge used to be a pretty good news app. However, within the past few months it seems to be leaning towards liberal, big government, nonsense. I for one am looking to find a better news app that does not contrive to decieve, mislead, and in general spread liberal propaganda.

Developer forced everyone to update from old app to this one, then introduced ads. I paid $2.99 to remove ads on the old app, only to be forced to upgrade to this one with ads. Emails to the developer go unanswered. Uninstalling and finding a reputable developer.

First off, THIS IS NOT THE DRUDGE REPORT!! There, Just that should raise your ratings lol. Choose your preferred news sources from a large list of providers in the settings & done. Fast, simple, effective - no frills, no fluff, just info... Too bad I can't say the same about the News nowadays.

Consistently fails to bring stories current, lagging for days on some feeds, 10 to 16 hours, 6 to 8 hours on others. App is set to auto update when opened. Uninstalling from Playstore and later reinstalling has no effect, no help. What happened to this app that once was really good?

The new version of app has changed FONT, couldn't locate means to change it back, thus 3 stars. Regarding all the folks that have negative comments regarding Drudge, though accurate, they don't seem to realize this app has nothing to do with Drudge aside from it accessing and displaying his pages, so it's not the apps fault Drudge has turned left so technically the 1 stars are not appropriate. It should be rated on it's merits for accessing and presenting news sources.

Drudge used to be a fairly balanced aggregator of content. In the past year it has scewed hard to the left with a decidedly anti-Trump pattern. I try to read a well rounded set of sources since so few seem reliable these days. I find i spend less time on this site than in the past.

There's always problems with this app lol. constantly having to reinstall the NEW version. Even today you can't comment on most of the stories. it says broken link AFTER you write the comment and hit submit that it says opps. Its a great app when it all works which is rare.

I have to hand it to the developer: kudos for staying ahead of the Powers that Be who keep trying to shut this app down and get it removed because it's "hate speech" or something (like CNN isn't). The developers can't help the fact that the source DR website has evolved into a faux-right mouthpiece for the mainstream media. More & more left-wing news sites have edged out center-right sites. So I wrote off DR (and FNC) in favor of more balanced sites. The app does great job with what it's got!

Seriously plagued by trolls, who copy and paste nonsense in every comment thread. Developers seem unable or unwilling to deal with it. Also, contains full-screen ads that cannot be avoided by using permissions. A convenient app otherwise.

Sadly, it almost feels like Drudge Report was sold. I used the app to find centric views from the otherwise constant bombardment of the very left mainstream news. Drudge, as of late, shares the same views i hear on CNN, NPR, NBC, etc. There is no balance to the drudge app. If you're hoping Drudge will be a way to find views from different political spectrums, well unfortunately it no longer does that. For evey 5 top news, 4 of them are very left leaning. Check out Liberty Daily

Have been having difficulties last several days! Click on a story and you go to a blank screen. What's up developer? Used to work great one stop for multiple news sources.

new version is not remembering the night mode setting. it shows on but still get white screen. have to turn it off and on again to reset it.

App used to be great, have had it on multiple devices for years,. Matt sold out and since the whole Covid-19 pandemic taken an extreme hard left position on everything. Just like all the other MSM outlets now. I'm deleting this app off all my devices. Too bad, as it used to be one of my favorite news sources. . .

I had some problems with night mode and also with the ease of commenting. both of those were fixed and so I upgraded my rating from 3 to 5 but then, I tried to add to my old review and I ran out of text it just stopped. on this commenting platform you're only allowed 500 characters I don't see the point of this. what happens when your thought requires 505 characters? you're cut off too bad! I also had problems when creating a comment. the editor stopped working preventing me for moving the cursor

Why is the article source so damn difficult to read? The old app displayed it much more prominently. With this new app, it appears as dark gray font on a black background. Really? There are some sources (e.g. Infowars) I won't waste my time reading. And if it's not fixed, I'll simply use some of the gazillion other apps that DO clearly display the source.
