Daily Scoop - A MyPoints App

I liked this app the first three months I had. It was even better when they updated the videos. However, the last couple weeks I've been bombed my ads that I cant get out of. The app now spends more time running ads than playing the videos that allow me to get points. If the app needs that many ads, then each add should count towards points. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

it's okay to use the only problem is the ads between the videos sometimes go to install and don't allow you to just go to the next video to view it and you have to keep going back to daily scoop and starting over again which is very frustrating. if it was just the 35 to 50 second video ads in between the videos that you're watching that would be fine.

The app itself is fine, but the ads are a bit out of control. There's anywhere from 3 to 6 ads in between each video. In order to earn points you have to watch 10 videos. If there's 3 ads before each video, that's 30 ads. For 5 points. I get that the ads are what keep the app free, but this is excessive. Update: now it's 15 videos with what seems like 100 ads between to earn FIVE points. I get that ads are what keep the app free but COME ON! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Freezes, between ads then have to close app and restart all over, sometimes you go through whole series of ads and video and it still shows you have same number of videos to watch to complete sequence. For example it will say you have 7 more videos. Then you watch one and still says you have 7 more to watch. If you go to any catagory (news, entertainment) and pick any video something else entirely comes up and it doesnt show video you picked.

This new version of the App is awful. I had to uninstall/reinstall and I can no longer see the ads since I don't have wifi. It keeps telling me to change the setting, and I do, but then it immediately reverts back to where it was. I love the Mypoints website, but their Apps are terrible.

doesn't frigging work, POS!!! wants permission to access data, but doen't appear to have a way to grant said permission, as every attempt sends you back to the (useless) security pattern, then back to the screen you were just on, what a piece of trash! Do not need blood pressure elevated. Need to watch a video. same app works for husband, on same model phone, and never asks him for permission to access data. WTH?!?

I like the app is a convenient way to earn video points. what I'm not too fond of is the limited videos. once you have watched all the videos you're done with the app until they decide to update the videos. if they updated the videos as often as they do on the website this would be perfect

This app was great until the LATEST UPDATE. It sucks now. Will uninstall. The ads, I think, are supposed to be interactive but aren't and freeze. I have uninstalled, powered off and reinstalled but still the same problem. It sucks. Whatever the UPDATE was surely messed this app up! So disappointed. I used to use it daily!

every month they do something to make it more difficult to earn points. the videos are the same lame thing every day and they change one or 2 out every 3 to 6 months. if I didnt need them to get my daily 5, I wouldn't bother. huge waste of time. this month I'm having to uninstall and then reinstall in order to watch anything. Starting to kick me out out like the ncrave. :(

totally pathetic. beings they have me locked out of other ways to get points, watching videos is my only way to get 5 lame points. took me only 35 minutes to get thru 11 videos. count down timers don't work, videos dont load, way to many ads to even keep interest. I'm sure they will be blocking me soon out of videos, they eventually do. what a joke and a waste of space. Now I can't play any video. Stupid ad comes on, and screen freezes from that point on

the program overall is good but the growing lack of customer service response combined with the fact that very often the app will shut down and/or indicate no videos available makes the use of this app less desirable. the standard uninstall/reinstall suggestion dors not help for more than a few days. EDIT: was sent the automated response to edit my review...sadly, I can know do that....The quality has gotten worse. The app works about 20% of the time now,

videos are rarely changed, if ever. I've been a MyPoints member for 13 years; the longer I'm here the worse they treat me. I'm not allowed to watch videos to earn points 9 out of 10 times. Now it takes watching 10 minutes of commercials in between each video to advance to the next. In order to be able to watch a video, I have to uninstall then reinstall the app. This is all ridiculous. The response shows me you all don't read OR understand plain American English!

Constantly crashes and videos are updated infrequently. Ads will cause the app to freeze. Very aggravating. UPDATE: The ad issue is fine now. However, the recipe category is gone. That is disappointing, I liked the recipe videos the best.

This app is set up and geared towards point control and the 'not awarding points due" just as bad as the website. Used to be a decent place to earn points but not anymore. I've spent 15 minutes on a survey only said was 10 minutes long, completed it only to be told I was disqualified and they gave me a lousy 5 points. That happens on a regular basis. The video app is supposed to award you points for watching videos. However, the ads are twice as long as the videos. I see MYPOINTS comments saying the ads are what earns you points. Funny, it's advertised as the videos that earns you points. CAN YOU SAY " BAIT AND SWITCH"???

UPDATE 7/12 Has definitely gone downhill: slower, more glitchy, screen 'hangs'. Today I got blank screen w only countdown in corner! The added games to wait thru are are awful.UPDATE 7/20 Now performance has gotten even worse! Today pages won't even load...when I open the app i get black screen, OR I'm able to get to Daily Scoop page but then when i click on a video series either the page won't load OR I get black page with circle icon continually revolving but never connecting!

used to be great but after installing the update after closing tge bravecto ads have to restart it doesn't work and have to restart app. I did as you said and it is still bad. It was so much better so why did you change it? This is now a very inconsiderate app or my time. I really hate it. I have uninstalled the app because it sucks.

I don't mind the ads, but it's aggravating when the ad then opens up Google play store to the app the ad was for. So I have to exit the play store after every ad. That in between every video and it takes 10 videos to earn only 5 points? No thanks.

App consistently does not work, keeps stopping. This happens on a regular basis. I uninstall and reinstall. Does not make a difference. Sometimes app asks me to sign in. But does not make a difference.

very easy to access. would like to see different videos on a more frequent basis, i.e. change videos on a monthly basis. sometimes there are days when the app crashes but it is happening less often.

If I didn't have to use this to earn points, definitely would NOT! Nothing but the same useless, boring content. Now it shows almost 30 mins. of ads. Now the app keeps closing. Come on, really!? Also, English please.

Hopefully it will start having content to read or watch soon! It keeps telling me there's no video's available, come back later! I'm only going to "come back later" so many times and then delete the app! There's plenty of other apps that have content 24/7!

It's a great concept with an interesting 5 or so videos which play the whole month or longer!! It's an easy way for points if you mindlessly click the play video button while doing something else after the first watch.

It is annoying because it's so fast pace & I would like to have longer to read the articles before a video plays. It would be a good app if not for that. Good videos & a lot of news articles.

It locks repeats dosent go to the videos very poor design and somewhat of a waste of my time. It isn't worth the 5 points reward for the time in involved or invested. I am not.speaking of the bodeos but the time to get to the content.

worst app ever, constantly malfunctions and freezes. doesnt give you credit even though you watched the entire video. its ALWAYS the same videos, ive watched them dozens of times but I need to earn the points to meet my goals

The videos autoplay, which is awesome. You set it up, and engage as much or as little as you want. Some engagement is necessary, however. 4 out of 5 stars. I may consider giving 5 stars when I cash out without hassle.

Freezes up. Stops and starts. Will not load up the video for me to watch. Yet I get the ads fine. So I don't get my 5 points for watching the video. And I end up watching tons of ads.

They said you can earn 500 points a day for watching videos. If you watch ten videos they will give you 5 points, and you will watch ten advertisements. The good thing is that most of the videos are short, most less than a minute, but you will spend that much time watching an advertisement before the video loads. If you literally just have nothing else to do, and you want to earn a (very) few points, this is okay I guess. You won't earn a lot of points, but some of the videos are interesting.

short tid bits to learn what is going on in the world are nice. I wish all the videos in the playlist would change up. The one with the woman ranting about her neighbors for 20 minutes is annoying.

UGH! OMG THE APP SUCKS AFTER LATEST UPDATE! This is ABSOLUTELY the worst updated app! Used to be an AWESOME app and I LOVED IT but after the UPDATE IT SUCKS!! Need to go back to the way it was, the ads no longer respond and have to exit and restart especially after the YAHOO AND BRAVECTO ADS! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A GOOD UPDATE. Nope didn't work and it still sucks. I uninstalled it, powered it off, and reinstalled it still sucks. I HATE this updated version! Will PERMANENTLY UNISTALL!
