As of 2021, the "Daily Word" devotional magazine has been around for 97 years, providing daily positive and often life changing affirmations, messages, and Bible passages. And the app not only carries on that mission, but adds the options of beautiful meditatative music, guided meditations, a means to bookmark favorite pages, and easy access to online or call-in prayer support. I love both the app and print editions - each has its own unique aspects to offer - but whichever I use, I'm grateful.
You have to call Unity customer service to purchase a subscription to be able to intall & open this app!!! They will set it up while you are on the phone with them, your user name & password. Then you can install it on your phone & or tablet using the user name & password you set up with them on the phone call. They stay on the phone to make sure everything works right & tell you about the app (very helpful)!!!
The year is not preloaded so the actual quickness of using this instead of a web link is not that big. When camping I need a paper Daily Word. So this isn't a terrific resource during long distance western US travels. Since the cost of DW is a dollar a month at church, this doesn't save much. The web access to the Daily Word site is free. The app has access to the user's contacts. There is absolutely no need for the operation of the program to do that, so that's a simple gathering of private connections . For what purpose? Usually that's a third party sale. I downloaded the app and tried to set up a password. Nope. All that I see is sign in. Since I'm not already registered, that required support to bypass the lacking sign in - sign up page. Finally, got on the app and am having it be inconsistent in it's downloads without recycling the page. Had the app removed from my phone because it isn't much of an asset and is too much of a pain.
The message is great and is the mainly purpose of the subscription but for a yearly paying App it should allow to download the content so it can read it anytime of the year without internet connection, like the paper version. It doesn't have a calendar either to browse previous date and you have to go day by day. There is so much more that Unity can do with this App to make it more interactive by just becoming more Fillmore. Just use the divine inspiration. God bless you.
During set up it says daily word needs access to my contacts. I declined and then it states the app was designed for an older version of android and that it may not function properly do I still want to decline access?!?! Uninstall.
I love this app IT is my daily prayer but the guided meditation stops right in the middle and does not continue. I have to go back to the beginning and manually go to where I was previously. Please help.
This app used to work well in my old Samsung S8. Now in my Samsung S20, if I try to change languages, it seems to let me do so, but it keeps giving me the text in English. Can you please correct it? Thanks in advance ❣️
Never start my day without it. I've been reading the Daily Word since I was a young child and later man. Settled down and started receiving the daily word as a regular subscriber. That was 40 years ago! I'm 63 now and hope to continue reading it for another 30 or more years.
A beautiful yet simple companion app for my spiritual journey. The Daily Word + Guided meditations helped me go into a 30-minute sabbath or inward quest daily. All my support and love to Unity and hoping to see updates soon.
Why can I not toggle between English & Spanish on the app? I really only wanted the app in Spanish & I seem unable to change the language to Spanish despite there being an option to do so.
Daily Word has been with me for many years. It has inspired me to read the Bible more. It helps my attitude of the day. I also enjoy the Audio parts with the meditation.
Content is great support is non existent. Had questions about payment and tried many emails at Unity. No one ever responds. No wonder this app has not been updated since 2014.
My mother discovered daily word in 1980 and still reads it! I love the digital app with added meditations and ability to make favorites.
My sister introduced me to Daily Word in 1978. I still receive every year. I introduced other's as well. for those who have everything or hard to buy for. I am thankful for the large print versions . The unity prayer has been my best friend❤💛
Wonderful app. So inspiring and easy to use. I use it every day. Even has a guided meditation feature.
App was working and now I have been kicked out the app completely. This is BS and yes, they steal money from the consumer. I wish I can put ZERO stars.
It is a wonderful app with inspirational words at your fingertips daily and it has a voice feature and short prayers
lovely Unity Daily Word that matches the printed version, plus contains a monthly meditation..
wish the app provided the opportunity to increase text size. text is small for tired eyes
The best spiritual, inspirational reading available in print or digital.
Still haven't upgraded their system. Renewal nightmare
Transformational and centering experience.

It is a truly meaningful, Spiritual guide, that uplifts us day by dsy
Very sad and disappointed that having upgraded to a new phone the app no longer works for me. Reached out to customer service a few weeks ago and no follow up or information if this app will be updated for newer devices. I miss the mediation part of the app. I can always go to the website or email to read the daily word. Truly miss the mediation. Hope they will/can resolve this at some point.
