Amazing app. I use it everyday. It offers a homescreen widget that updates with new artworks everyday, and it's always so fun to see something new. Small issue with the widget though: sometimes after a few days the widget will be 'empty meaning that he activation bounding box exists as it can be clicked on to go to the main app, but nothing appears. Once you click the bounding box and enter the app though the widget refreshes and fixes itself, so its not a big deal. Love your app!
Updated: Daily Art has gotten even better by providing more links to explore related art and artists. I'm learning the artist, art movements and the broader historical, cultural and artistic context in which it was created as well. The specific circumstances that motivated the featured work and the significance of small details always fascinate. This app motivates and helps make sense of visits to art museums. Ads sometimes annoy, but I realize something must pay for this service.
Been using the app for more than an year for my daily dose of art and art trivia. I look forward to seeing and reading a new artwork everyday and has increased my interest and appreciation of art. I am also considering to join their courses on their website. The app on the technical front does its job and never crashed. Gives hi-res images. Keep up the good work DailyArt team.
This is a fantastic app to introduce people to a variety of art and also to engage those who know more about art. Buying the premium version was easily worth it to me, and I was happy to support the makers of this lovely little app. The curators make an effort to select diverse art - from famous to lesser known artists - and include interesting tidbits about the history of each masterpiece. Highly recommend to anyone who loves art!
I find the selection of artists refreshing, as often they are not part of the popular Western cannon as taught in basic art history classes. Wonderful examples of beautiful, thought-provoking artwork. After reading the newest post, I often go on Google to find more work by the day's featured artist. This is a great app!
Kinda slowish but really beautiful and informative, I loved art but this really helps you get to KNOW art! I've been to a lot of fancy museums but now I feel like I really understand the art and the context of the artists and their perspective based one when/how/where they lived.
Of course, I'm not a big fan of being blasted with sound when an ad starts up, but this app makes the experience worth it. I will gladly go through several ads to view the art and read the attached information. A lovingly tended app.
Great app for some daily education on and appreciation of classic art. It's a shame you have to separately pay for removal of ads and for unlocking extra features, but I understand this may not be as profitable without those options.
Great app, would like to see more diversity of art styles and artists of color. Sometimes it can take a long time to load or access the correct day's art due to connection bugs.
Great app, how can you not like it.. The app has introduced me to so many beautiful paintings made by artist I was not familiar with. The only thing I wish would be better, is a even more in-depth telling of the making of the daily picture and history of the artist..but I'm honestly nitpicking here. Two thumbs up
Quite regularly a piece of art appears that is fresh and unknown(liking/disliking optional !) I especially appreciate the part that gives you more info on the piece/artist/movement. It is also good to see works that are normally only seen in smaller museums/galleries.
I downloaded this app specifically to get to know more about art of this planet from different countries and cultures. It gives detailed description of every art piece it shows) Great thanks to the creator/creators of it for their work.
My new favourite app - a delight and well worth getting the paid version to get rid of ads as well as to contribute. I love it's simplicity and yet with links to very interesting articles and info if you need it.
Best app ever! Super easy to use and very user-friendly (even for isers like me - if you want to learn but have trouble concentrating on long texts). The dedication and the professional approach of the creators and managers make our experience exciting and very informative. Can't thank you guys enough!!!
Great app! Can't skip a day without seeing the Art of the day, but I have a suggestion: only if you could make a feature where the app can be linked to the lock screen and show the daily art on it, this would be great!
Awesome! I've been looking at their images every day for years. I like the links they include so you can go more deeply into the art. One thing I do is download an image, enlarge it and use a detail for my wallpaper. I paid to support the developers. I even paid a crazy amount for shipping from Poland to get their calendars! You can tell I'm a fan!
Amazing app!!! The information provided are so very useful and interesting, so are the links to other articles regarding art!! What I love more about this app is the celebration of diversity during black history month, international women's day and more! 10/10 app; not to mention the premium access is so cheap for such a large about of content, definitely worth!!!
Apr 2022-review still stands. Nov 2021 - still enjoying app! Sep 2020 - confirm my review still stands. Wonderful way to learn some art history! Still enjoying the app with no issues. Used it for several years now. Just paid fee for no ads, although they were never that intrusive, wanted to support people in this dark time.
Have had it for a few days. I love reading the information about each piece and that there is a high resolution option to view the piece. Haven't had any problems with the app either. It's perfect for anyone that is interested in art.
Love the app but it hasn't been loading recently. I open it but it continually says something went wrong and the masterpiece doesn't load. Not sure if anyone else has been having this issue in the last week or two...
I have always loved art but this app had widened the scope of my knowledge and led me down rabbit holes of individual artists. I have been especially interested in the female artists that have gone largely unknown in a "popular" sense. One of the most positive apps I've ever installed.
This was my app last year; it still remains my favorite app! Such beautiful and interesting art every day!! 2021: Wonderful daily art is my FAVORITE app! It includes BEAUTIFUL art plus informative information about the Artists and relevant historical information about the time period. Very well done! Enjoy!
Loved the way information is presented in the app. Makes me more curious to know about the artists, the story and the era. 5 stars to the thought and the efforts. App is easy to navigate and it's lovely to check daily dose of the art.
I do love the widget where i can swipe left every day and be greated by a new piece of art!! If it peaks your interest, they have great descriptions within the app! Enjoyable part of my day.
Couldn't be without this app. It's a ray of sunshine every morning. I've seen so many works of art that I never would have and the information is excellent and easy to understand. I paid for the upgrade and have never regretted it.
This app Is the first thing that I follow every day and I have great pleasure in showing it to to all who are interested. I have had the opprotunity to have been schooled in visual arts. I learn every day from this app. Thank you.
I love this app! I don't know anything about art, and they do a great job of explaining things about the artwork and/or the artist. I look forward to seeing that notification everyday (:
What's with the new update that asks you when you'd like notifications, but doesn't let you say no? You can turn off in the settings alright, but it's a bad vibe that the off button is not available on the first start-up. Edit: despite the developer's comment, on my Android version there's absolutely no prompt to turn off notifications on the first start-up of the app (I reinstalled just to check that claim). You have to go to settings to do so. So, I say again: nothing major, but bad vibe.
