DailyRoads Voyager

I have previously used this app for years and it has now started crashing every time I use it. S7 android version 8.0.

I previously gave this app 3 stars and the person responding to my comments a sarcastic time and it was uncalled for. I've had enough time with the app to say it really does work, one feature is saving to SD card, and there are many user adjustable settings, if it continues to perform as well as it has I will come back and recommend donating to turn off ads. It is a good looking, user friendly app.

This could be five stars, but it took a little while to set up to my liking, but my biggest gripe is that it sometimes starts up without my asking. In fact, even while writing this review, it has started up seven times. This has a detrimental effect on my battery. I do like that it works well in the back ground, but I dislike file management - it's not possible to multiple select. If it is, I don't know how. I may still uninstall and try something else yet.

i really liked this app inially, then it started crashing and taking the whole phone down with it. I've tried reinstalling it but the result is the same. The crashes are so bad that phone settings get corrupted. such a shame as this app is great. Sadly, I've had to uninstall it. I've given it 4 stars because this but it may be fine on your phone so definitively give it a go. Update: After hearing from the developer with regards to the corruption to my phone, I'm assured that it is not possible for their app to be the cause. Whatever the case I still can't use the app but would urge anyone to try it, as it is feature packed and an otherwise great app. Some phones for some unknown reasons just don't do what's expected...I may have one of those phones :-)

The app worked fantastic for the first day I used it. I dunno what happened over night, but the next day when I would open the app, it would open to the video library and there was absolutely no way to go to the camera. There's no icon to take you there, and the back button just exited the app. Clearing the cache and the app storage fixed the problem one time, then the next time I opened it, same thing. Stuck in the video library with no way out. Such a shame.

Before trying this one, I tried various other dashcam apps on my present as well as old phones. I was disappointed with them - some resulted in overheating, some didn't have features, some just crashed. I was about to give up when I tried DailyRoads Voyager. I can say without hesitation that this is the best dashcam app I have tested. Works beautifully even in not so capable phones. Never crashed even once. Has extensive settings to configure your app as per your needs. Just go for it.

Last 3 events I have tried to save haven't. So really there is no point in using this. I had a whole lot of files in the temp folder from half way through my trip, protected folder was empty. Auto delete is on and card wasn't even full. It has worked in the past but if I can't rely on it then I have to look elsewhere.

Love the app, been using it for several years. Unfortunately, the GPS speed data does not work properly when connected to Android Auto. It still records and saves the footage fine, but the speed data is off. When not connected and using the phone by itself, it works fine.

Don't let the ratings fool you. I've used this app for a year or so. Recently things started to get buggy. Biggest headache was it was blurry. In desperation I uninstalled and tried another app. After a few days I decided to reinstall DailyRoads Voyager. Glad I did. Just re installed on my Pixel 4XL and the clearity is amazing. Also the audio in playback is of excellent sound quality. I'm really surprised this app isn't rated at 4.8.

Brilliant app, one big problem for me, after I load the app for the first time and allow it to access to the relevant areas I used it and it was brilliant. Next day I came to use it again and when I click the app icon the app just loads into the temp files screen where the videos are stored ??? There's not a button to go to the main video screen , so I am stuck on this page. I tried closing the app, resetting cache on app and nothing worked until I deleted app data. This resets the app tho.

Love this dvr app for most features and customization on my Android. Just am frustrated by the auto power up, it brings up the app in portrait mode vs reverse-landscape mode as programmed in the settings. To work correctly, I have to open the app manually, this opens in the correct landscape mode, and manually press record. The automated stop record - shutdown when power removed works flawlessly. Something is not right when power is connected when my Samsung Emerge is in standby mode.

keeps getting stuck on the view files page. can't get out of it and back to the camera. tried re-installing several times. will work and record one session. once you start app again, it just takes you to the files list menu and won't let you do anything else.

App does not exit on Android 12 OneUI 4.1 Galaxy S10! + It is unable to handle files now, if I mark a video to be protected, it disappears from Tempvideos and never reappears in Protected. Only a black dummy thumbnail goes there for a few minutes, then it disappears for eternity. This means that all videos I want to keep later gets deleted when I hit the locker to keep them... Moving the files from Tempvideos to Videos folder does not work anymore (the app has all the file storage permissions).

This is probably one of the best free apps I have ever used! I am a full time RVr and used this app on a recent trip crossing the USA on a trial basis. It worked flawlessly and has a ton of great features. I will upgrade to the paid version for more great options! Highly recommended!! BTW this is my 1st app review, I was that impressed!

Absolute garbage: 1.Video on screen is blurry (tried every focus option), you can touch the screen to get clear video but as soon as you touch record button, it goes blurry again. 2. I did record some video (blurry one) to check at home on a computer - no videos recorded anywhere, except for some temporary ones with 0.00min which show "unspecified error' and I can't even delete them now. 3. No option to record on SD Card. 4. "Goast videos took over 1 Gigs of phone memory, which I can't get back.

Space hog, not intuitive on how to store files. Bought full version. Set at 3 GB. Shows 9 GB used. Can't figure out how to delete files with app, and how to change to SD card for storage. Now, other apps are getting errors due to this app being a memory hog and no free space. Aside from that, would've liked it. Sad. Would need to be developer to understand functionality without reading some manual.

This app is, hands down, the best app I've used outside of an actual camera to be used for a dashcam. The UI is fairly simple to use and the amount of options made available for just the free version is incredible. Bought the full version after having it for a long period. Kudos to the DEV team!
