App doesn't even work anymore. I've been using it for a couple years, and the new update messed everything up. I couldn't log in at all...tried resetting password on the actual website (not app) also, which did nothing either. I can't redeem any points, nor can I collect points or receive offers. Super disappointed.
There's a deal section but haven't had deals at any point since the switch. Was one of the only reasons I used the app. Unable to change favorite location on the account and my birth date is also wrong. Update: it's been 3 times now that I've sent messages to customer service and no response back, despite them telling me in the comments of my review to contact them. Finally was able to put a favorite location but still no deals available...Will not be going to DQ until this is fixed.
Horrible app!! Can't get it to load half the time. Freezes. Gets stuck and even force closing it doesn't work!! I have a S21 ultra so I doubt it is my phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it as well and still the same thing! I've even reached out to DQ themselves and they have not been able to do anything.
The app does not work properly. I have been receiving a "no offers available"message for several weeks. Today, I reinstalled the app. No luck. I even re-logged into my account and did not have any success. Pure trash app. Out of all the fast food apps, this one is the only one to give me problems. I also forgot to mention that I lost all of my previous points with my old account because I kept getting the "no account with this email address was found" error. Extremely frustrating.
This new app might be good if I was actually able to get into it!! It doesn't let me transfer my points from my old account cuz it says they can't even find the email that I used for my old account. Then when I try to create a new account, it won't let me, saying something went wrong with the location. I've turned on all app permissions and still nothing. This new app SUCKS!!!
Pointless app. I'm in a major hub and none of the DQs will take the app. What's the point in having a rewards/coupon system that your stores can pick and choose. Some won't accept online orders. The one close to my house won't even accept the coupons. Because they refuse to get a scanner and the new app won't give a code for them... What a, waste of time, and space. Just give up.
Wow. TERRIBLE! I thought that a newly released app would fix the (many) issues that the old DQ app had. Boy, was I disappointed. This text field does not have enough space for me to outline them all... in a nutshell: it is an infuriatingly chaotic app. It is difficult to order exactly what you want, it is organized in a bizarre manner, and the drink options for combos don't work properly. Go back to the drawing board! Model your app after one that works - say, like the Tim Hortons app.
Update: after a very painful beginning this app works fine but I can't give more than 3 stars due to the poorly executed launch. ---------- Awful "update". I'd say that we're being used to test this new app, but the old (working) app has been deactivated. I can't transfer my account because it won't let me select a location. I've tried numerous times. Even when it listed locations the process times out.
I have an account with the old dq app. I downloaded this new app and it says that there is no account with my email address. I tried to open a new account, but it won't allow another account with my phone #. This is extremely frustrating. Very poorly developed app. Not user friendly at all. A good way for dq to save money I suppose. Offer an app that doesn't work so customers can't use coupons.
This new app is terrible. My account worked fine in the old app but it won't transfer to this new one. On the last page, it wants me to select a default store but there aren't any nearby that participate in the points program and since it requires me to select a location, it never completes the transfer. Since it won't complete I can't sign in and this new app only works if I'm signed in with an account. Signing in as a guest is useless. The guest account can't do anything in the app.
Changed the app, seems to work easier. would still be nice if there were the other options for the sodas available at the location. The particular location that is closest to me is hit or miss on if they have the lobby open to pick up the order or if I have to sit in the drive thru to pick it up, which defeats the purpose of ordering through the mobile app.
Edit: i got in via the web site and changed, transfered finally. Unfortunately my birthday BOGO didn't come with the transfer. I don't know how many times I've tried to transfer my account and points and met with complete failure. Keeps telling me my phone number and password have been taken. I had no issues with the old one at all. Two messages to the contact us page have gone unanswered
Complete failure of an app. Doesn't tie into existing android credit card, doesn't have the same deals as the stores, forces you to add something to any burger order, but only one thing. Just not good. Reply to the developer's reply. None of those are glitches. Those are all design failures. And the app was a fresh install that night, because the previous app had been killed.
So very broken. Assuming you can successfully sign in (took me several attempts), almost everything you do in the app ends with a red box at the bottom of the screen that says "timeout." I couldn't successfully submit an order! The app used to work, but it recently underwent an overhaul. Roll it back - this one's a failure
Tried to transfer my existing account but it keeps getting stuck on the preferred location. Keeps telling me there are no locations in my area and then something about not being able to parse '11:00'. Because the form requires a default location, I can't complete the transfer. When I open the app it makes me fill in all the transfer fields again and fails on the same step. The other app has been disabled so now I have Dairy Queen apps that don't work.
App doesn't work. Cannot select any locations using either GPS or manually entering my location as the list never populates. Cannot transfer my account. Cannot see coupons. This app was obviously half done when it was released and is still far from finished today. Unhappy I was forced to move from a functional app, to a continuously broken app that has not worked since day one. Would give zero stars if I could. It's a waste of space on my phone.
The old app was way better! I was told I had to switch over, and I tried to transfer my account. It appeared to work at first, but said points would take up to 24h to transfer -ok, not a problem so long as I get them- but when I went to go use it just now at my local store, I was logged out of the app! Spent the last hour trying to log back in, it says there's no account associated with my email/password. Tried the transfer again and now it says there's no locations near me- I'm sitting in one!
The app requires you to transfer your existing account for some reason they can't automatically do that and you have to go through a fairly lengthy process to do so that ultimately ends with being forced to choose a favorite location and the map finds no Dairy Queen locations anywhere. Thus at the end of the whole procedure it fails because you can't set a favorite location. These are the sorts of ridiculous things that people should be fired over.
Doesn't work. When trying to transfer account, it constantly times out. I couldn't choose my location. I chose a further location just to test and the. It told me my phone number was already in use. No kidding eh? I'm trying to transfer accounts. I also tried signing in with Facebook, just in case I had originally done that. Nope. Timeout again. What was wrong with the other app?
I have downloaded your new app and have tried several times to transfer/sign in and when I get to the end where it asks me to give my favorite location, I enter the precise address and it tells me there is no DQ at that address and it will not let me proceed without putting in a location. It does not give me an option to skip the location process. I am so frustrated, I'm ready to uninstall!
Haven't had any deals since installing the new app. Don't tell me to delete app and reinstall.... did that, even turned off my phone and then reinstalled. Location is on and my preferred store is selected and saved. My phone is up to date and am using the new app....had no choice, it forced my to install the new one. Have no idea why they switched apps. The old one worked fine! For those of you who can't log in, try logging in from the website, then log into the app. Worked for me .
App has many issues...no response to any submissions or screenshots with errors. In fact I don't think I've received any response from any time I've contacted the corporation. Shows how much they care. The app has so many issues, when they close the stores, their app changes drive thru hours to the next day without telling you their closed. If the phone switches from mobile data to WiFi, the app hangs and you have to clear cache and turn on airplane mode then delete all data, then you can't orde
The new app requires a scanner to get the deals to be redeemed and no longer available on your account. My nearest location, although listed on the app and presumably participating in these offers, refused to redeem the deals because they don't have a scanner and I "could go use the coupon at another store". Apparently it is the customer's problem that the new app requires a scanner and the stores are not equipped to support their own app.
Easy to use, but there is not the option to choose what kid of ice cream you want, so if we need to order anything other than vanilla (chocolate or twist) we have to order that item separately when we get to the store, which is really annoying. Also, after the upgrade there are not as many deals available which is disappointing.
You make a change, promote the change and then it can't even locate a DQ near me when there is one within walking distance? Why is is city, state and postal code? Something is very wrong there, state doesn't go with postal code. You guys might want to check your references. Disappointed. Can't even finish setting up/transferring my account because of this. App is completely useless now. :(
I was just forced to update this app from the older version that I liked. It was the worst user experience I have ever witnessed. If I could give it zero stars, I would. It took over 30 mins to transfer my account and log in. It constantly timed out or froze. If I didn't have so many points accumulated I would have just deleted the app and saved my time and sanity. I am already not looking forward to using this app.
The new app has decided that my address doesn't exist. I can't transfer my points because the app doesn't open. When it does, it times out because it says online ordering doesn't exist for my town. I had to go online to find the store's address to use that. It timed out repeatedly. I tried again an hour later and I need to start all over again making an account because the previous attempt did not save.
If you are going to force a switch then have the old app transfer all the info automatically. it's known by your system already. Also it's 2022, you aren't physically checking a book for my point balance and sending a memo to accounting to get them to change it. Why is there a delay at all? It's a single number that is already stored in your system?
Said I had to go to new improved app, which I did. Its glitchy. Won't accept my address, then when I existed and started process over it did accept the address but when it said 'all done' it locked up again, and said 'timed out'. Get it right. These apps are supposed to be more convenient and easy. When they waste time and cause frustration, it doesn't make me want to utilize them!
This used to be a great app, but ever since the last update, it is terrible. It logs me out constantly and, of course I can never remember my password. But if your location is turned on and you request your password be reset, you won't get an email - not until you turn your location off and restart your phone and by then it is too late to use your points...🤔 Very frustrating.
