Fix half screen bug please! Can you all please fix the half screen bug of Snowblind games like Champions of Norrath. Also, can you please update Bluetooth controller to work for Android 11 OS, it worked fine on my Samsung S9+, but that was OS 10. Now that I upgraded to a OnePlus 8t with OS 11, it stopped working. Otherwise, I love it, but I hate playing games on touchscreen, I'd much rather use the controller I specifically bought for this.
The emulation quality is questionable at best and at worst noexsistant. I do not run a low end device (note 20 ultra 5G) and would expect the proformance to be better than it is. I am switching to Aether sx2 as the experience is comparable at worst and light-years ahead at best.
Understanding the fact your playing a console gaming platform on your phone you can't expect these emulators to be set on. Some games just don't work properly or ate laggy. There are some games that work flawlessly however so make your list of favorite games download them and see which ones work best.. if you don't like the experience then probably best to just play them on an actual PS system. Phones need another year or 2 to catch up to the processing power needed to run these games
Edit: How do you use the cheat? This ps2 emu has a lot of potential, for the games I'm playing at least, I'm having a lot of fun with it. That being said, it still needs some work, optimization and fixies to graphical and sound glitches during cutscenes/movies. I'm 10000% rooting for the development team on this emu. Keep up the good work and don't give up on this gem. A diamond in the rough that with some polish, can be a real crown jewel for android owners and emulator fans everywhere :)
Pretty great app but very lacking in features. Would love the ability to switch discs so I can play the Monster Rancher games. Limited cheat support and no play customization like speed up mode or disc swapping is my #1. Sketchy and probably passes info on your identity and activity to the Chinese government (it is a Chinese based app) but they haven't stolen my credit card yet so that's a plus. Does some creepy back end things too
Once you understand how emulators work you will love this app most bad reviews are from users who are unable to understand its not just a click and play you have to know how to manage files on your device or they are unwilling to do a quick Google search and tutorial to figure it out but once you do it's pretty dang awesome.
It has been getting better with time. Unfortunately the games I am looking to play don't work great but a lot of classics do. Give it a try if you want to play something more fulfilling then most phone games.
Very hit and miss. Mostly miss. I spent 10$ but the emulator is still way below par for an emulator. I have played 1 of 5 games i tried playing on here. I spend more time tweaking res, graphics, cpu, and overclock settings than playing games i enjoy. I have a S10e and at lowest quality settings- i still cant play 4 of 5 games i tried at over 50 fps with lowest resolution. Cutscenes force app closed. Often lags while still indicating on the fps counter a full 60fps. Not worth the hassle.
I really wanted to play Star Ocean 3 Till the End of Time but I can't get through the dragon doors in the Barr hills because it requires light and hard presses of the same button (circle button) and the controls don't have any sensitivity options. Please fix this issue.
For anyone on the fence, this is absolutely phenomenal!! Nothing is perfect in life, this certainly has its bugs and crashes so save often both in-game and save states!! But for gods sake people this is a fully working PS2 emulator for android! This is an ongoing project, the devs are going to keep improving things and fixing issues. But it works. I have a galaxy s10e, played 100% through Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, partially so far through Final Fantasy X and metal gear solid 3 snake eater.
Great ps2 emulator please make more games compatible. The newest version makes shadow of the collosus really slow. It took away all the shadows which makes it better but now it's extremely slow. Please fix it. Ffx will no longer load along with Alter Echo. New versions of anything suppose to be better not worse.
OK tried the emulator again on my new phone to see if the developers fixed it. Nope still running what use to be good into the ground. It has questionable request to make and manage calls and contacts. That's sketchy. Also won't let me use the American ps2 bios folder at all. I can boot up any other bios. Just not that one. I believe that if you sell a product to anyone and change it to ruin it. Then you should give people their money back. The product doest work anymore.
Great experience. I've had this app for over 5 years and with each new phone it seems to be working even better. Only thing I can really complain about is it will sometimes say it can't find the server. Which makes me worry it is going to stop working and I will lose all the time I've put into a game. After trying to start the APP a few times, and it not working I'll restart my phone, and if it still doesn't work I just give it some time like an hour and then it's seems to work just fine again.
The first PS2 emulator thats satisfactory! It really works! I'm using it on my Samsung galaxy fold 3, playing bloody roar 4! Works smoothly. Some games lag like racing games but tweaks to the emulator improves performance and playable. Overall good effort and thumbs up for good work and motivation for improvents! This is a great product Damon team! Please keep improving!
I was skeptical at first!!! But this is awesome! It actually plays Shinobi for PlayStation 2 super fast. When I first got everything working I had slow frame rates but after a few minutes of playing with the overclock settings I had the game running butter smooth! Great job team!!!
Horrible app will take your $. First I paid the 10$ then once in emulator it says you have to pay $8.99 to get professional version or watch ads to get coins to start game. I bought professional version 2× and it still says I need to purchase. Very scummy imo.
I don't know what they did to this app it used to work perfect and now is impossible to run a game smooth on this app, it can't even adapt to your screen in full screen but the worst part it's that I paid for this, I hope this app could get deleted from the Playstore
For those looking at this, get Aether SX2. It's free and works great. The DRM in this app is atrocious. Seriously, why do I have to be connected to the internet to use an emulator. I got this since it was the only ps2 emulator at the time, but avoid this app like the plague.
It's kind of complicated to get the games to work but it DOES work. More advanced games tend to have a bit of lag though. RPGs work good on this.
Seems my s22 ultra is not having a problem with any of the games though some rendering graphics or lack of if that makes sense, be huge area of say a building or floor that's pink or blue ext but this is on a 4gig ps2 game but game and fmv's are perfect nearly
Paid user. Do not download this in Canada if one values not killing their data - App requires near constant data connection to work if away from Wifi. Accuses user of cracking behaviour if data connection is shut off within 10 seconds of disc image load. Completely defeats the purpose of playing PS2 EMU on mobile. Your anti-piracy measure is just asking for this to get cracked sooner and end up on illicit APK sites, there are other ways of checking license that isn't so invasive.
This honestly is worth it when considering if your phone is compatible and equiped it's actually really great experience. Some games don't work or even exist but it's not the developers of this apps fault. Anyways worth the money try it out. The warriors works great and Tony hawk pro skater 3 & 4 as well as sims 2.
I don't understand why people are complaining. This app has worked good for years I bought it and I'm glad I did. I've used so many phones with no issues. Maybe everyone that leaves a bad review has an older phone? Right now at the time of this review I'm using the galaxy fold 3 flawlessly.
People who rate this emulator poorly need to learn how to use it/experiment with settings, works great on my Motorola ace 5g and can screen cast while playing fine. Games I've tried so far Sub Rebellion and Silent Hill 2. Both work very well. Some expermintaion was required playing Silent Hill 2 but it works!
To me honestly works pretty good the first time I tried it a few months ago so tried it again recently and it has gotten much better sure some games still have slowdown but I haven't experienced a blackout yet and I currently have a Samsung s20 I've been using it on no real issues to date.
Its worth every dime!!!.. the configuration autos for your device specs, and allows a bit more tweakage if necessary... My phone isn't the best, so I can sacrifice the minor issues of my phone and get superior game play with controller capability. I'm running a G Note 8, and FFX11 and myself are in love once again. I thank the devs heavily.
Idk why everyone is saying ten dollars... I got it for like $4/5. Sure it crashes alot and it's glitchy and doesn't always work. But it's the best PS2 experience available on mobile that I know of, so... Lol maybe y'all should get a better phone
WASTE OF MONEY. Doesn't work on my Samsung--fails to scan roms; cannot be extracted as a zip file; doesn't even show up on my app page (even after uninstalling and reinstalling); and doesn't include any instructions or troubleshooting information, forcing me to do the research myself, only to find that the app just doesn't function as advertised (maybe it doesn't work for anyone, though I can't say for sure, but after struggling this much to no avail, I frankly don't care).
What a waste of $10. There is no instructions on how to use. I have my roms on my device but it wont recognize them. Also keeps giving the prompt to load a bios. This is way too complicated. It should be easy to use. Find the game and load it. Other emulators that are free accomplish this easily. But with this app you have to jump through hoops and even then it does not work. If the developers respond with solutions, I will change my review. Until then DO NOT SPEND $10 on this app.
