Danfoss Link™

I\m a big fan of the Danfoss link system. Unfortunately, the API is super-closed (so you cannot access+save your own data), and the app is pretty bad. Basically, it is a stripped-down version of the Central Controller (CC). From the app you can start/stop heating, but not for individual rooms/zones - it's all or nothing. In practice, this means that you normally must go to the CC anyway. In the app I can actually see the measured temperature from all the thermostats/room sensors in the house - and whether the individual rooms presently have active heating. But you cannot save or log the information. Although the data is available, there is no interface/API available. If for some reason you want to turn off heating in some rooms, while turning on heat in other rooms you will be out of luck. This cannot be done - neither from app or CC. From the CC you can turn on (or off) heat in a number of rooms, but not both. From the app you can only start or stop heating in the entire building at once. For communication, the app contacts a Danfoss "cloud server", which then communicates with your CC in some "secure" (aka obscure) way. Expect things to break if Danfoss ever closes that service. Running an instance in a local cloud (under your own control) is out of the question. According to Danfoss, they do not store/save/log these data on their servers. I would rather keep the data in house (and store time series in a DB), but that cannot be done with this system (with or without the app). Obviously, Danfoss must have an API, but I am not allowed to get it. This app is "not compatible" with my Motorola running Android 8.1. I cannot see why, just "not compatible" in play store, so I cannot even try to install it on that device. Runs fine on Android 8.0 on a Samsung. Overall, the devices/hardware are great; The CC and app are so-so, and a useful interface (API) is simply not available.

the app was very slow in the past in terms of interactions with the controller. now after the last sw update of the controller to pause the heatining from app seems to work rather sporadic(app shows paused but controller not, only after the app restart you can see if you really have paused the heating). please fix this bug and connection speed between the app and controller

Danfoss Link system is a great one and application also has a great potential.. app is nice designed but a bit simple and updates not kept regularely for adding new features which is a pitty per the tech Danfoss has in the hardware . New features like current outside weather would be a nice addition and easy to be shown or a history of rooms temp.The Google Assistent would be a plus near Alexa, but appreciating schedules easy setup and intuitive modes having. Hope to be supported more often.

Difficulty with CC and getting any positive support in the Czech Republic. I updated the CC and this was a mistake. Slowed the system right down. I am scared to connect the new one to the internet. Forget trying to get support, total run around. Product works. But major limitations.

Extremely basic compared to other systems. No graphs of temperature or when the heating is going. No link to weather information. No new features over the past years.

From a few weeks app displays "connection lost". Several restarts are required to get it working. Internet connection is fine.

Danfoss puts minimal effort into this app, no stats/graphing of data, no dark mode, providing the same and very basic functionality for years now.

I'm waiting for an updated of Link and all the new features which Ally have now, eg. google home and updated app. I do not see reason why it wouldn't get it since is it same - zigbee gateway with internet access!

I had a bluetooth trv. Battery lasted 6 month, range was 5m and update interval was over a minute.

Great app. Will be better if is possible to group several rooms in some kind of "floor" group and easily applay changes to a group and all rooms in a group.

It's heating my room while showing it's not in the app. Not consistent app. Rare updates.

Provide a really good overview of temperature in all rooms and currently desired temperature including heating zone status (on/off).

Please create separate temperatures for away and asleep for heating schedule. But application works very well.

Please add history or diagram wich room are heating previous time and when room termostat are off or on.

Very easy way to control temperatures. And understandable that everything haven't been included in the app to begin with. And after last update the connection is also considerably faster. Could wish that you could do more from the app, like setting up rooms. And a outdoor termometer in the series would also be nice for reference. It's unfortunate that the app doesn't flush old data when there's no connection, the error page says everything looks fine before a connection is made and this even though the app made a notification about an error. The temperature page also shows old data until connection is made. Only the main page with the clock reveals that there's no connection.

Terrible app. Maybe the danfoss technology is good, but you cannot use it properly because the human interface - the app - is one of the worse i ever saw on Google Play. I would never install this app if i would have been obligated by the fact that i have to use somehow the danfoss link sistem that i bough that was not cheap at all! Danfoss fix your app or your brand would have to suffer because of it!

Danfoss, please fix your app. Everytime I start the app it shows just blank screen, no errors, nothing. Why have I paid more for wifi feature if it simply doesn't work... At least offer access without your lagging cloud.

Would be great if this would be compatible with Google home or other smart home assistant. This is a must nowadays for smart home appliances. Secondly app is slow in displaying current status - takes some time to connect with base. Other than that ok.

The app worked well for the first few months. But all of the sudden recurring disconnects belittle its function. Either the CC panel is allegedly not longer connected to the WiFi which is not the case as can be told by checking the panel or loading times are incredibly long until the app crashes. Danfoss, please do fix these issues!

Awesome app for controlling your floor heating.

It is too zzzzzlow. And 8 out of 10 times the Danfoss cloud can not be reached.

For some reason the temperature of one living zone was the highest. The application does not send a warning notifications about the problem. I have seen that information on the Link CC touch-panel. My team will develop an excellent application for you, just send me an email!

Good to see each room the temperature history. It would apso good to see when the heat pump has been turned on and turned off. I want to see charts it would be much clearer
