Lots of HO mini games as method to get needed items which gets tiresome, I'd rather solve puzzles to get needed items now and then. The puzzle in the castle where you translate the word with movement options being 2,3,or 7, remains unsolvable despite numerous reviews pointing it out and have to skip it to complete it despite knowing the answer. The "bonus" should just be part of the main game as it gives closure to the story. Decent game, long due to tons of HO mini games.
Very Frustrating gameplay, use a knife to have it simply removed only to have to find another knife for the next task, rinse, repeat. Ok if you need something to play, but that's it. As for the castle word translation puzzle, you need to use the reset handle once you have the word. It's not clear at all you have to do this though.
This one had a very intriguing plot. I always enjoy your games. This one was exceptional. I love that artifex mundi does not limit us by energy, having to have a certain amount of coins to continue, and etc. You allow us to be able to continue playing our game without having to stop so much. Also, I'm thankful for the clues. I sometimes know what I need to do, but forget where, and the map is so useful. Keep up the great excellent work. Thanks
It is a good game for this genre, not great. The story was weak and predictable and the characters were beyond flat. The gameplay was good but it lacked the little bonus finds other games have and there were so called puzzles that lacked challenge or skill as well qs a purpose for being in the game at all, like catching fireflies.?? Other puzzles were more challenging due to the graphic details of the puzzle rather than actual skill of solving which was more annoying at times than enjoyable. C+
The environments are lovely and the story is compelling, but the mini-game puzzles are seriously broken (as in 'unsolvable'). Further, the game requires you to magically discern that an uninteresting pile of background material is now a hidden-object screen. If you don't mind using copious hints just to navigate or puzzles you have to skip (because the gears don't ever turn like they should), it's a very enjoyable title.
Probably my least favorite game by this developer. Hard to differentiate between scenery and interactive objects, lots of endless tapping hoping something clicks. Non-linear story and lots of back and forth trial and error. Didn't care for it.
I usually like Artifex Mundi games but this was a disappointment. The real life characters were just creepy looking. They just stare at you while their character is hollering about something. A lot of where you needed to go to solve random puzzles just didn't make any sense. The bonus chapter was even worse. I'm glad I played on playpass, I would have been upset spending any money on this game.
While fun sometimes, this one can be frustrating to find where to go next. A bunch of this publisher's games I recently played have bugged achievements. This one: got on expert mode to end, solving tile puzzle. Correct solution because this is my 2nd playthrough. Puzzle stuck on last 3 headstones w/ correct solution, won't open last pin. Also, read all notes in both plays. No achievement.
Hitboxes are smaller than the actual item you're trying to find. The map system is terrible, and the minigames are either bugged out or so poorly explained that you would have better luck playing the game blindfolded and tapping with your nose. The clock puzzle with the cuckoo bird is utterly broken because the minigames doesn't even uncovered the portions that you would need to be able to fit all your gears properly.
So far its pretty good. A few too many times where it goes to a cut scene but not as bad as some games I've played. I like that hints and skips are free incase you need them and the game play itself is pretty smooth and entertaining.
Plenty of puzzles and searching for items which I enjoy. My only major complaint is the glitch in the clock gears puzzle. If you are like me and pride yourself in never skipping, then do not play this one. I checked online and I read that there is a way around it if you play on your computer. I don't, so I had no other option than to skip it. Also there are items in the Hops that you will not think they are what they're asking for and turns out they are. If you have Google play pass, I say play
Excellent game. Challenging puzzles - I actually had to skip one! A strong storyline with a sense of accomplishment as tasks achieved. Clear graphics made HO satisfying. Interesting use of real video clips. Nice.
Best game I've played in a while! No ads at all!!!! Hints are free and ready at all times. Highly recommend this game if you enjoy playing mini puzzles that don't make you search for walkthroughs online.
This is an older game with fewer option choices but it was such a solid game. Controls were right on spot and I could actually follow the story. The length is exceptional and I think this is one of your better games.
Decent game. Not a lot of sense to the story, as you would expect from similar games. However, the game play is long, and the puzzles are entertaining. Graphics are s bit cheesy but overall not too bad
I like this game especially the graphics. Sometimes it's hard to figure out the next move so I've had to use the hint more than I like to. Different mini games from other's like this is a plus.
Would not recommend to new comers to this type of game map spots only represent areas not every actual scene so would get lost. Too many H.O. scenes for my liking, otherwise goodish game, but the only xtra thing is bonus chapter. No morphs or collectables to do.
I was instantly lost from the very first terribly made cutscene. The gameplay kind of doesn't even need a tutorial because it's so ridiculously simple and easy. I got very bored and quickly uninstalled.
I'm actually just copying part of my review from the first Demon Hunters game because the two are so similar I almost get them mixed up. But this one takes the cake as what I would say is AM's worst game, by far. I was bored to tears and ended up uninstalling it without finishing it, which I almost never do. The game is PURELY HO scenes over and over.
Excellent graphics and storyline. The puzzles are challenging and intuitive. The only problem was the game ended. I enjoyed this game.
Nice game. A little slow on some loading graphics ( 6gb ram+ should not lag) with pilot phone it should run max. At lowest it should rock. But it is as stated. Maybe an update for new hardware could work.
Great game, up to the makers usual standard, an enjoyable way to spend time without taxing your brain too much...the "live" footage is a good idea...makes the story seem more realistic.
Puzzles are just hard enough to be enjoyable without being frustrating. Artwork and videos work together to tell an interesting and unique story.
Another good Artifex Mundi game. But I would love to see future games that are not dark and creepy, just allowing you to search or play mini games to move forward with a more positive plot.
great storyline and interesting mini games, but there are so many random items that look like part of the background that it's hard to know where to click to pick something up. It can also be very difficult at times to see the symbols that you're supposed to use for codes, especially on a phone screen. And there have been times when I've clicked on the object that I need and it does not pick it up, and using a hint shows the object I was trying to pick up in the first place.
