Dark Mode Theme for Instagram
This is an unofficial app that changes the style of Instagram to a black theme. No need for Android 10, works for Android 6, 7, 8 and 9!

How do I activate the dark mode?
-> Start the app. Click on the "Toggle Dark Mode" button on the bottom. After you watch a short ad, the dark mode will be activated and Instagram should start. If it fails to start for any reason, you can select the "Start Web Version" button. This will load the web version of Instagram with a dark theme. It does not have all the features as the full Instagram app, but it has our multi-color support.
It doesn't work!
-> Unfortunately, some vendors are not supported yet. This is outside of our control. But you can always use the Web version by clicking the "Start Web Version" button.
How do I turn dark mode off?
-> The same way you turned it on: click on "Toggle Dark Mode". Wait a few seconds until everything reloads. If it doesn't work, try rebooting your phone.
I have a Xiaomi phone and the dark mode cannot be turned off!
-> This is a bug in the latest MIUI 11 update. A quick solution to this is to use the security app that is already on your phone (a green icon with a shield and thunder). Let it find all problems and press "Fix it" to solve the dark mode issues. If this doesn't work, try resetting your phone.
I uninstalled the app but everything stayed black!
-> You uninstalled it without disabling dark mode first. Install our app and click on "Turn Dark Mode Off". If it doesn't work, try rebooting your phone. If nothing works, try resetting your phone.
Why is my Google Play also dark?
-> The app actually activates a global dark mode which also affects other apps like Google Play. There is not yet a possibility to limit this only to Instagram.
How do I change the background color to something else?
-> You have to use the Web Version to change the colors. Select "Start Web Version". Swipe right to open the menu. Click on "Change colors". Pick your favorite color and give it a few seconds to display a preview of your choice. If you like it, press "Apply changes" and enjoy the new hip colors!
I don't like the colors I have chosen, how do I go back?
-> Swipe right to open the menu. Click on "Change colors". Press the button on the bottom titled "Reset to default".
Do I need to create a new Instagram account?
-> No. It works with all accounts.
How do I go back?
-> Please use the back button on your phone to go back.

This app is great!! It works amazingly but there is a slight issue I deleted the app to re download later again and when I deleted it Instagram still stayed in dark mode I personally love this though because I really wanted Instagram dark mode, but it does effect other apps play store,Google etc. But I like the way it turned out
It used to work in the beginning with the app but now the dark mode doesn't works. It shows the video and tells that its gonna deactivate after 12 hours but it only stays for 10 minutes then gets removed and tells to watch video again!
My experience was HORRIBLE! Whoever developed that app has some SERIOUS issues realizing that, not ALL of society has the same time constraints and mental capacity for find the correct answer, THUS, being truthful! I'm SO happy that I didn't pay for this app! I tried my hardest to be as truthful as possible, BOTH times I took the survey, and BOTH times, (the last time, because I was actually looking for the closest fitting CORRECT answer...and on the last question mind you), I was timed out.
It worked really great for me. I couldn't get dark mode for IG with my phone. But with this app, I could and it runs long for 12 in one go. Plus, a desk top version if the current one doesn't work
Terrible!! I got screened out. I picked the "Student" option and it kept asking me about work and i kept choosing prefer not to say 'cause I didn't know which option to pick. Long story short, the app worked terribly for me, I hate it!!!!
This app is works, even it can make the playstore and notification bar has dark theme too, but the problem is it can't turning it off. And became black forever. Please fix this issue immediately.
It works so well and it also made my other apps like playstore have dark mode and it looks so cool. The only thing i dont like is that you have to activate it every 12 hours but all you have to do is push a button, watch a short ad and bam!
The dark mode isn't turning off even after uninstalling the app??? Edit: I installed the app again yesterday and it still isn't turning off. The button just isn't working and even if I click from the notification, nothing happens. Do I have to factory reset my phone for it to go away?
so far it works well and looks nice. the only issue is that when you close the app it takes a second to reopen and load unlike the regular IG or IG Chrome app. maybe user error or something if so ill edit this to rrflect such. it was due to slow connection
I am currently using OPPO R17 PRO yet I am unable to even use it despite watching Several times of Videos to activate it. I even bought the dark mode for IG yet iy still doesnt work at all. Previously i was using the older version of android yet able to use it. After the update i am unable to use it. Hopefully somethinf can be done to alevate this issue.
It works slower, and my keyboard covers the text box. It's slow to even load, forcing you to see the icon then the darker icon before you get to your home page.
It's great. You don't have to keep watching ads for it either. Activate dark mode watch the first ad and then uninstall the app. Unlimited dark mode 😊
Bad app i ever use. It doesn't work at all. But it works on play store. I don't want play store using dark mode but i want it works on my instagram. Please do something about it. I retry to use this app many times but it still not working. Do something about it!
Don't ever download this app bcoz it was the biggest mistake of my life when i downloaded this .....I thought it will work nicely and yeah it really turns your Instagram into dark mode but when it comes to off this this dark mode its toggle button ( ON/OFF) get's freezed and u won't be able to off this dark mode . Specially mi users facing this problem in majority ....I also have mi note 4 and literally my phn is in dark mode since 2 years and not only my insta is dark my whole phone got dark
It was working really good before the latest version. I've watched the adds multiple times but still it isn't working. The previous version was good. It needs some improvement
After downloading it, and the app making EVERYTHING dark mode I uninstalled. Even after complete uninstallation everything is still in dark mode. Do not download.

This works... You just have to watch ad every 6 hrs to activate. Which is more than awesome and manageable... Thanks developer.!!
it looks good but you can't zoom in on anything like u can on reg Instagram. weird when ads cover whole screen.
Its basically instagram web but with black background, NOT A THEME APPLIED TO YOUR REAL INSTAGRAM. But it gets its job done. Its better if you can make the themes applied to the real instagram.
It is nice. You can install this app, watch one ad, turn dark mode and uninstall. It will still work.
If you are reading this here is a bug in this app activate dark mode and then uninstall the app. I did this and my ig and playstore are still black and I need not activate it....
Does not change the Existing Instagram app to dark theme. Rather asks login in this app for using insta in dark mode. Not in sync with the original Instagram Application.
This is a very good app!! The only thing i don't like is i can't find the photo i like on here, and that's why i gave a 4 star.. But this is a nice app good job on this app try and put on it that we can see the photos we liked.
This app even turned my other apps dark themed that i don't wanted and i can't even remove it cause the disable button doesn't work. please help as it doesn't removes the dark them even you delete the app.

What will we do if we want to remove this effect ...after uninstall this app my mobile notifications are still coming in dark mode ..this is very frustrating for me ...plz suggest me something. Very bad app to use
I thought the app would be promising but sadly it didn't live up to my expectations. I use a S7 edge and after downloading it, I turned on the dark mode after watching a short ad. It was working well so far and thought to myself I might buy the pro version but immediately my thought died because everything turned white again after a few minutes. I turned the dark mode on again and it after a while, it goes white again. Not sure if it's a bug but I wish there's a fix for it.
