5 stars for support! Very cool, old skool RPG. What is here is fun, but the game lacks in several ways. The story is sparse and there is little dialog. There is no exploration at all, the character moves forward, until you reach the end represented by a guage on the right of the screen. The card combat is fun and addictive, as well as the music. The character design is great, only wish they were animated. A lot of potential here, hope they do more with this, all in all, good game. Try it out
Really enjoying this so far. Simple enough to pick up and play whenever you're bored, but it has enough depth and dungeon crawling goodness to keep you invested. Really intuitive and easy to use interface as well. The art style is really awesome too, all the enemies and the occasional animations that appear look great. Definitely worth trying if you're into older style RPGs and From Software games of this style, new and old.
Good game with adaptable difficulty, though the battles are very unforgiving. The RNG between the start and end of a segment is very bizarre, but after level 70 and getting some seriously good equipment, the game is a breeze. Transfer does not work at all however and progression to a new area is permanent. I wouldn't mind paying to remove ads, however there is no cloud save, so if the game is uninstalled there is no way to restore a purchase and so playing online with ads is not player friendly.
So this game looks pretty awesome, and I was really looking forward to playing it but it doesn't seem to have a full English translation. Despite the language barrier I was able to understand to a minimum how the commands work and how to stack them to increase their effect. I got stuck in the options after clicking on a option and not being to go back anymore(not sure what happened but some blue gem kept spinning). I won't uninstall as I hope they eventually do add full English :)
This is the second Japanese dungeon crawler for mobile that has great art direction, the other being buriedbones. Love the look and the gameplay is fun with a bit of strategy thrown in with the card element. The difficulty isn't too bad, but it might discourage newer players, but it's a fantastic gem of a game compared to the majority of hot garbage on the play store.
Very enjoyable card battle/RPG, with enough depth and challenges to keep you occupied. Biggest con is, of course, lack of save of progress on the cloud server. Lost my progress like that. Very frustrating, it should be obligatory for all games to have saves on cloud server in 21st century. Need to be worked on English translation too, confusing sometimes, sometimes even making no sense. With enough work will be a solid 5 🌟!
First of all: the pixel art and designs are just godly. Really pretty, which not a lot of games seem to try achieving anymore. It's quite challenging, which I think is a good thing. I believe the osts are quite pretty too. The special stage is really fun, with pretty (badass) designs on the enemies and bosses and good music to top it off. One of the best games on the play store, I'd recommend it to all turnbased RPG fans.
So I have just completed the first stage of the game (Cave of Trials), and I personally love everything about this game. What's important to me here is the aesthetic, tone and atmosphere that the game creates. There is a unique ambiance of darkness and solitude in the art direction/style and overall atmosphere of the game that is very appealing to me personally. In terms of mechanics it is a relatively simple game but it still manages to feel unique and fun and refreshing. For sure give it a go.
Changed my mind, the game is good but I felt like the Dev is forcing us to buy in game currency and forcing you to watch ads. You will die over and over again.
Id give it a 4 star if it was not stopping and crashing every 2-3 rounds of fighting cous of ads and as well as an ad every time you die witch is at the very start of the game when your new
Very fun game and it's not unfriendly to players who don't want to pay, just watch some ad it will do. Yes it's a bit grindy, not too bad.
One of the best turn based RPG games you'll find in the appstore. If you love turn based RPGs with good music, you'll definitely want to give this one a try. I honestly wish there was more to this game, or a second one because im hooked. Nicely done! I'll give a five if you make an extra level or two.
Very fun. I really enjoy the card mechanic and it leads to some pretty engaging gameplay. Music is also good and the graphics look gorgeous. The high-quality pixel art is perfect for the setting and tone of the game. Definitely a must-play.
I cannot possibly give this a high enough review. I downloaded this on a whim, partially because I enjoy the classic art style, only to find a gaming experience that scratchrd an itch I forgot I've had for years. This is an excellent simple RPG with a classic yet timeless style that I would recommend to anybody.
i like the old school 8bit style graphics. gameplay wise is a little lacking. roguelike... but basically you just get random encounters that they throw at you. some easy and some crazy hard that you will definitely die. if you die, you retain your stuff but takes half your gold to resurrect, or pay gems (premium currency). its an alright game.
I remember first Nintendo and this brought me back and I love the creator for creatures and some are allies interesting....very pleased...
Garbage: the game essentially kills you repeatedly and takes half your (in-game currency type 1) unless you bought (in-game currency type 2) with actual money. Your progress gets halted hard, post tutorial. This would be tolerable if you could leave and grind up some levels, but coincidentally when you're low health and need to transfer to a lower difficulty stage to grind, the game refuses to connect to the ad server. However, once you want to pay money for currency, it connects no problem
Gameplay is okay, a bit grindy and some mechanics are a bit vague, but overall a fun "dark" roguelike rpg game. Edit: completed all aspects of the game. There is some repeatable content but none of it is very replayable. There's basically two boss rush arenas and a bonus dungeon. I wouldn't spend any money on this except for ad removal maybe. The further you go the more premium currency you will find on the floor and in tombs.
Too much ADS. I died at the first monster after the quick tutorial. And I was immediately forced to watch ad to play further. I think it's a common courtesy to atleast wait a few levels before forcing your players to watch ads. Even if I love rougelite card games, this kind of marketing scheme is unacceptable. Uninstalling...
unusual, but in a good way. music is nice, i also love the art. gameplay is retro PC dungeon crawl roguelike with turn-based combat. overall a very fun game!
