After much playing, I've returned to update my review. This is one of the best roguelikes I've ever played. It's very challenging, though I'd say a little too hard with the later classes. The rune system is great. It becomes a problem when the first bag you can buy (merchants, and mini bosses, every 5 levels from 3 btw) is the scroll bag though. A few small tweaks and it would be perfect.
Really nice game. It's simple, and complicated to fully master at the same time. It keeps you hooked up trying to get better equipment and learn all spells and potions. As you go deeper you get the hang of it but at the same time it gets more complicated... It also allows you to take your own pace, definitely doesn't have too many ads (only the ones you choose to see to get free items), doesn't bother with in-app purchases, doesn't push annoying notifications. Good job Devs.
I've been playing this game for more than 5 years. I really like it, especially it's difficulty. I think this game it's one of the most hard, and sometimes unfair, survival game in the play store. My only big problem is the rewarding system. The game it's hard to complete, and the rewards sometimes are underwhelming (imagine you complete one run in hard mode, it takes more than 5 hours if you are lucky, and you receive 40 common runes and only 2 epic, 0 legend most cases.) So you can't advance.
The game is great with a turn based tactical combat and it is hard and fun to play. But the graphics, design and details are lacking to make this game innovative. I would love to see you guys made a huge update, like the first level can be look cool and dark, it gives menace to the surrounding of your player. Would love to see you guys improve the game and make it better.
This game has a lot of potential. But there is no actual goal, just going down floor by floor until your reach the end. Materials are very hard to find, and very RANDOM. Used up 10+ health and regenerative potions because my health keeps on declining due to starvation. Logs and food, which are the most essential since you need to sleep and eat, are the MOST DIFFICULT things to find! Seriously? I also don't get why the game needs to connect to server when buying things with IN-GAME money. Pls fix
This game is amazing. It would be nice to have a paid membership that lets us remember spell and potions on the next play through. Some localization could help as well. There's very little hand holding in this game and it took me 3 days to make it to floor 6, but it was a very rewarding experience when I hit floor 7, doesn't matter that I died instantly haha. Updates please!
Nice one! It doesn't get boring. Very diff maps..very interesting secrets... It's one for the curious few. As you play the game, you get either a particle, piece or crystal of memory when you die, which when opened gives ancient coins and pieces of runes and equipment. Character gets stronger. It is a true free to play game since there is practically nothing but ancient coins that you can buy and everything else, including the blueprints for equipment and runes can be won in the memory pieces.
Very intriguing and a lot to explore and learn. The main catch is that you don't get an explanation how stuff works but get all the info you need to figure it out. Don't get frustrated in the beginning - the moments when it clicks an you get it are worth it :) I'm playing for at least a year now and i am still amazed by the finely crafted game mechanics. Huge thanks devs
This game is much better than i was expecting going in, with good level generation, balanced enemies, and having the hunger system as your motivator to not go back and forth across the map is a much better system than other roguelike games in my opinion. Even the microtransaction system isn't egregious and in your face, it presents itself as an option, not a suggestion, like a quality game should.
I only tried the game for an hour and I found it interesting and entertaining. I like how the gameplay and mechanics works. Downside in my end was that the game needs to be online. My suggestion would be, if it is possible to make an offline feature. Here in my country, internet is something that being deprived and limited by service provider for their business pleasure. Also if you can add portrait orientation preference since its a one finger style game. Overall game itself was truly enjoyable. Recommended for those who like turn based dungeon crawler. Hope for the dev to consider my suggestion. Thank you.
I've played 130 hours of this game over a year. It is my favorite dungeon crawler. I like the challenge and the luck of the draw in items. How each time you have to relearn the potions and scrolls. The game forces you to try different playstyles not only on your class but by what you pick up.
Quite an interesting game, I like the atmosphere. Edit: 8/23/19 played it for a while now, reached floor 30. Still like the game but removed 1 star. Limited inventory doesn't improve gameplay for me at all. Once inventory gets full (which mostly happens at the start of each new game) and I have nothing to throw away or to use in a meaningfull manner I just quit the game since F@#%ing around with inventory is becoming an annoyance.
I love this games style. It takes a gameplay genre and makes it dark, gothic and unique. The class leveling mechanics is a breath of fresh air along with the UI this game will keep you stuck to your phone. The only complaint is there isn't a paid version I would gladly pay to receive extra features or classes. As long as the game dosent become pay 2 win. I will be happy. I highly recommend this game if you like dungeon crawlers with a gloomy gothic style design and unlimited replay value.
This game is so very enjoyable. I have had this game on all of my phones for quite a few years now because of the infinite replayability factor and for the part where no two games are ever quite the same. In a gaming world where the maxims of update, change and improve are king, this game stays the same. It also has a nice touch whereas if you leave your game and don't touch it for however long, when you come back to it again the game starts exactly where you left off.
I had to reinstall it three times because I missed the dialog. I accidentally clicked at the beginning and when the games started, I forgot to look, change the dialog playout please. The game is hard but if you get the hang of it, it is quite fun. Important to note is that, for whatever reason, you can not play it offline!
Not very good. Too much needs to be worked upon for this to be better. Identification function is usually what (actually) kills me the most. No safe way to identify items. Identify scroll itself ALSO needs to be identified. Potions WILL kill you faster than enemies. Search function is redundant as I have yet to see a need for it, could be changed to increase chance, quality, and quantity of items found instead. Food is more scarce than Fear and Hunger(game). And the list goes on. I'll stop here.
Beat the game. Loved it mostly. Here's the two reasons for one star. One playthrough a key spawned in an inaccessible area. This has happened for others. The BIGGEST reason for 1 star is that when you beat the game you get a TON of rewards. All types of new classes and everything. I was so excited to try for more playthrough awith new classes. But I never got any rewards. I loaded the game and tried again. Kept telling me I got rewards. But I never got them. Extremely disappointing.
Diablo meets chess, with crafting strategy and good ol' fashioned luck! I enjoy how advancement is earnt (hate the spiders early on thought) and the wide range of positive and negative effects from scrolls, potions and the environment itself. And that it is free to play, if you're willing to advance relatively slowly, it all adds up to what I consider a leader in its genre. Great work creators, thanks for the experience 🥰
BEST game I've ever downloaded so far (and I've downloaded lots and I even have gaming consoles too and THIS game is VERY good)! NOT repetitive AT ALL, challenging and not frustrating, despite having to start over and over again. The fact that it's not repetitive makes it feel like a new adventure every time. It's kind of a "trial and error"/"learn as you go" kind of game. Besides, it's FREE! 100/100 recommended!
