Dashboard for Tesla

Necessary for cycled charging power supply. The native Tesla app would let the car sleep when charging power is off for a while. This app will prompt the car to sample the supply every five minutes. So those of us getting discounted rates for allowing the power company to switch us off at times of high demand can have our cars charged without having to babysit it.

The watch functionality really makes this one worth it. Only complaint is I have rear seat but the app can't turn it on.

The app offers plenty of functionality, but it could seriously benefit from a good UI designer. The layout is messy and the icons and general presentation is poor. I found that using either of the widgets resulted in my Model 3 never being able to sleep. Removing them from the home screen solved the problem. During my trial, I tried to get support from the developer but after 5 days have received no response. It could be a fabulous app and provides great functionality. It's not quite there yet.

I've used Dashboard for Tesla for a few years and found it to be handy (e.g., turning on climate on a schedule -- back when I used to leave the house!) and was okay with paying a high cost for the components I needed (vs. say, $50 for all modules, many of which I didn't need). I used to love being able to flip up my smartwatch and open the frunk or trunk as I was pushing my grocery cart toward my car. Unfortunately, my smartwatch died. I recently bought a new one and despite the new watch being paired with my account in the app on the phone, the watch app said it was unable to connect with the phone. I restarted the phone and restarted the app and tapped the sync button on each, to no avail. I even waited an hour or so and tried again and no go. I decided to try a competing something-for-Tesla watch app and it worked from the get-go. I might come back one day, but for now, the competing app works and that's what I need. (I was hoping that the support forum would have had ideas for me, but it looks like it's only got a small number of posts and the most recent one was nearly a year ago?)

Some helpful extras, but ugly. I really like the background options like scheduling. I run these on an old tablet that I keep plugged in so as now to affect my phone battery. Would love to see more advanced charging schedules to take better advantage of our off peak and peak periods. I have seen done really good IOS apps, I know there are still some things to add here especially since it's a kind of expensive app.

Doesn't do much that the free Tesla app doesn't also do. A few minor bells and whistles that aren't very useful and sometimes don't work. Ugly, inconsistent interface design. Overpriced. Not worth the security risk of allowing the developer remote access to your car.

Got this app specifically to schedule charging during super off peak hours and it works well during those hours. However, sometimes charging randomly starts and stops outside of those hours or the charging starts 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Not a show stopper, but definitely a little annoying. Otherwise, this app is a great alternative with way more features than the official app.

Meh. At least this app works unlike the Drive Tesla app. User interface is quite horrible on phone and watch. Watch app has no settings and is stuck displaying imperial units... Can't change it to Km and Celcius. Also to many confirmations. If I've had to make about 10 gestures to get to the function I want, it's clearly intentional and I don't see the point in adding another confirmation. (Watch) As stated, this really doesn't add anything the average user needs over and above the Tesla app.

Very frustrating app. I bought the app on the day I bought my new Model X. I set it up to only charge after 9 PM, after my peak period had ended. Instead, it charged around 8 PM, costing me a huge demand charge for the month. I bought the Smart Charging add-on, and that buzzes my smart watch every 30 minutes all day long. I just scheduled my first software update for 23:00, but it installed it immediately, instead. Fortunately, I don't have to drive anywhere urgently. Wish the app worked!

App is good but the minor bugs keeps causing me to have to log into my accountand sometimes doesn't interact with my car causing me to be stuck outside of it waiting for it to wake up and recognize I'm trying to send it a command. Second would be nice to be able to set the floor lighting to be ambiant lighting for when it's really dark.

I tried adding the app to my Samsung watch 3 and Set it up for quick access. It takes forever to open the app on phone even though it's online on my phone and the tesla app is also connected to the car. Frustrating to just wait for it to load. Once it loads, you'll have to be careful to not press the back button or else it'll close the app and it'll take forever to load. You'll have to keep it running in background to have any kind of quick access feature the app promises.

I paid for app not sub. I paid for speed clocking add-on inapp but it can't connect to car. Almost all other features work. Battery current gives same error as speed clocking. Would like a refund for the speed clocking add-on since it doesn't work if possible. Also notification off doesn't stop notification for when close to full and when full so I get 2 each time. One from Tesla app and this one. Have to have Tesla app for model 3 for best functionality.

Really nice app. The programmable routines are really useful and make up for the lack of smart charging and climate controls on the car. I am trying out some charging schedules to fit in with Economy 7 and pre-conditioning. Keep thinking of new ideas to try out! Missing rear seat heater control!

Well I had to say that I had high hopes. The majority of the dashboard does work. But had issues with the Wear Add-on, and now I have found a bug in the "Automatic Behaviors" (I have S.Fold 3) and I can't choose Set Sentry, it chooses Set HVAC after I choose add. Looked to get support - but I can't post a topic after creating an account. Tried to send an email to Support. Email is blocked. Tried to send an email to Admin assistant, that email is blocked. At this moment it appears its a take your money and run app. Unless I get support, I'll keep my review at this. You get what you get and pray that it works.

This app offers so much more functionality and features to my car than what Tesla provides out of the box. I love what Tesla provides, but it's great to be able to do a few extra things. I especially like to be able to keep my car a certain temperature while it is outside on a winter day.

Previously a great app, if not a little outdated as far as keeping up with vehicle capabilities. For the past 48 hours I have been unable to use the app because it will not log in. I hoped it is as simple as an API change and I can change the rating back to 4 stars when it starts to work. again

Useless for me, takes ages just to send a command over the internet to lock or unlock the vehicle or do anything else for the matter. The official Tesla app is much faster. I mainly got this to see if the galaxy watch app worked and it doesn't as once you pair the app with the watch, the app on the watch stays stuck in loading state. Overall pretty useless and didn't give me anything more than the official app.

Love this app in theory, but am hitting a major stumbling block, as it refuses to recognize my Samsung watch. In the app it says it should work with my Samsung Gear watch, but it doesn't recognize it, despite it being correctly paired with my phone and all other apps recognizing it. Would happy give 5 stars and purchase if I could get it working on my Gear Fit2Pro

I installed the app and paid for a day. It connected to my car and I started charging. The app looks nice. I have a notification that says 'warning: battery optimizations I...". Clicking on the notification takes me to the app, but doesn't show the rest of the warning. I went to the support forums, and registered but whatever I do, it says "You are not allowed to create a new topic here" so I am not sure how to ask for help.

Too clunky. After being subscriber for about 2months I found very little benefit over Tesla app. I was looking forward to use widgets, but they constantly fell offline, even with the app being granted all permissions and power saving exceptions to run in background.

Can't log in! So frustrating! I don't know what has been happening but I can't get logged in and the messages aren't helpful. Null token? Fixed all remaining log in issues! Bwahhhhh! That's a lie! I'm stopping my subscription immediately!

Nice app, adds functionality to charge in a home charge situation. Only have found one issue on storing data from speed clocking. I get a message that I do not have the correct permission, while the app has no restrictions

App is really useful and has a watch interface that I like a lot. It's notifications and interface is clear and informative. I like the options it has and all the extra info it gives beyond the Tesla app.

I don't understand people complaining about the price here. It's an app that only works with 3 cars that cost at least $50k. I know you can afford $15. Try it out for a week, if you like it buy it if you don't then dont trash this dudes review average on a great app because you're cheap. It's not candy crush where you can stay afloat making a nickel off everyone who plays because you have a billion users. The app is great and works way better than the official one with many extra features.
