DAT by American Red Cross

(This is a review dated July 5th subsequent to the upgrade.) Several people in our chapter have had problems with the calendar when attempting to enter their availability. The numbers are nonsensical. After Consulting with the IT team, it turns out that this is the result of having a very large or huge text size selected on the phone. By reducing text size several notches the problem is resolved. Others may be having this problem so be aware of the fix. Thanks IT for your help.

This app is specifically for American Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) Responders. If that's not you the app is not for you, but you should look into becoming a volunteer. The app does scheduling and dispatching with a lot of options. I'm not sure how to make it a perfect app, but the July 2019 update made significant progress in the scheduling component which used to be absolutely terrible. It still takes a lot of effort to schedule shifts for a month, but a few days or a week is not bad.

Seems to work great on iPhones but isn't worth the trouble on Android. The calendar is not operable, gives me a different opening page Everytime I open it. I need this to Work but it still won't!

When I go to login from phone page always shows expired. I have attempted to resolve this for several months. I can only access DAT from my laptop.

Doesn't work on my S9. I can log-in, but then it's just a white screen.

app needs a lot of work still. but could be great at some point... I hope

dat app not working. will not load or do anything else. fix this or delete app all together.

The UI can be very clunky at times. It might get stuck and unresponsive for several seconds. I suggest you fix this and other bugs that I know you can find. If you dont, this application won't be as useful as you would hope. Look at the reviews, more negative than positive. Maybe try fixing this.

I am revising a previous review. It seems that the Red Cross server is still being worked on, and all of my observed problems were server side problems. The app is still not ready for prime time, but with the server not being ready, I will give it a nutural rating.

I think it still needs a lot of work. I couldn't post a photo, and it wouldn't show any available shifts. The only part that I could get to work correctly was the current events, at least I think it was working correctly. Lots of bugs that need fixing before any regular use.

I can't tell if the app is good or not because it will not let me enter my log in information so that I can actually run the app.

The developer needs to be the ones to fix the issues, server problems or not.. the code needs revision they need to sort out bugs

Should be labeled as a beta version. Lots of unexpected behavior, including repeated download of same info. Android back button exits app and logs out user. First login must be initiated from Google Play Start button.

It's a shift tool that does not work. No events display and not sure how you make any changes. Login is annoying. Beta would be a stretch this more like pre-Alpha.

Extremely slow. No version numbers. Looks like beta version deployed to public. Developers/ coders should have QA tested this application before shipping to public. ARC should have rejected this released version.

Good concept, but the UI needs work. 1. Login section doesn't display your entries and your login info doesn't save. 2. Startup time is slow.

It needs alot of work. Can't do anything what this app is intended.
