dataDex - Pokédex for Pokémon

Clean aesthetic, but UI could use some improvements. Lots of encounters with weird bugs that involve having to select things multiple times before it registers to perform a function. It would be better if the search bar was always available at the top instead of in the menu. No way for users to disable analytics. Feedback page opens a draft to compose an email with nobody to send it to. Full page ads can be a bit disruptive in the free version.

I've had datadex for quite a while. It was the best app you could get on phone. But frankly it has massive downsides. 1) the help and feedback takes u to emailing them without an email to send to. 2) even though I've bought Pro it is not coming up on the app. It frankly ridiculous that it won't give me the pro I paid for and can't even contact support about the problem. :(

I bought pro from you guys back in 2017/18 when it was still a one time payment, I don't use google play services anymore and can't use dark mode, which makes it one of only two apps I like to use that are locked into light mode. I understand you have priorities with development and I am asking for something for free, I would be happy to donate to development with paypal to encourage the feature, but if you could save pro status into the backup account that would be really great.

Nothing short of 5 stars for this app, regardless of nitpicks. Everything is super smooth and pleasing, and it's all available offline. Pro version is super cheap and a 1 time purchase. My only suggestions would be to add a "back button" on a pokemon's page to take you back to main, as all too often I have clicked through multiple pokemon pages and have to click my back button a billion times to get back home! This and a universal seach option (types, pokemon, moves, etc.) would be phenomenal.

Absolutely love the accessibility and versatility of this app. Well worth the upgrade, too. I love that I can check Pokémon on the fly and team build (with multiple teams)! The only problem I've had is one Pokémon (so far) not showing up in the Dex where it should be, and when I tried to go to Feedback to report this error, it prompted me to write the feedback email but did not put a contact email address in the "To" line, so I have no one to send feedback to other than here.

It's been great app. But recently update makes some pokemon/move/ability description not shown. It said "...not used in this game version". Like do we care? And how do we know the correct game version if it only wrote like that. If you really want to classification with game version, just add the additional information wich make it different. Instead of writing uninformative text. I'll change my star after this problem solved.

After using it for almost a year, all I can say is that it is so far, a good app. My only concern is that it is missing some forms like Trash Burmy, Sandy Burmy, Sunshine Cherrim, etc., and that Hisuian forms are introduced in the 8th generation instead of the 4th where, I think, they're supposed to be. But please don't get me wrong because it is a very good app!❤️

Ad's only break the app everytime I get one it leaves it on a black screen that I then need to close the app so I can actually view the page but only if it doesn't force an ad while I'm trying to scroll back to what I was on. Thank you for constantly ruining the fun!!!

Was very impressed with most functions of this app, however it has an app-breaking bug which is extremely frequent. It is constantly trying to load video ads which never successfully load, and is only fixed by restarting the app completely will rate 5 stars once this is improved

This App is amazing and I use it constantly. It would be really really cool if you added shiny forms for the dex entries and team builder. It would also be cool if you could choose what Pokéball the Pokémon is in when making a team. Even without these, the game is an easy ten out of five stars.

so far this app is amazing, one thing that I think could be better though is the search filter, like making it possible to look at multiple types and gens without looking at all or just one. Just got pro for the team builder and, even just for a casual playthrough I'd say it's definitely worth it, it shows how your team sits on resistances and weaknesses totalled, and what types you have covered by your teams moves. and it's still worth it without pro, I'd just download and check it out yourself

At first glance, a very good Pokémon database! However, on my S22 Ultra, I cannot sign in with email; it forces the app into a loop. Also, some of the welcome tutorials looped a bit, though now it seems stable. I also very much appreciate the low Premium price and non-subscription model. I will likely upgrade, especially if these login issues are fixed. Edit to add: female sprites also don't display. Normals and shinies work great.

I'm using the latest version of the app and I am unable to select held items in the team builder. Another bug is that the dex number shown in the team builder sometimes defaults to the Pokémon's local dex number and not the national number. Also, the alternate forms in the team builder do not support any moves for them. I haven't checked literally every alternate form but the ones I have checked do not.

Really buggy. Trying to team build for sun and moon. I set the team to be in those games and I tried filtering to only show gen 7 pokemon. But for some reason it only showed alolan forms and nothing else. I've had similar, if not worse, buggy experiences trying to build for other games also.

Great app, but can't sign in via email - app constantly crashes when attempting to. Apart from that it's awesome, but obviously a big setback for trying to use on multiple devices. :-(

This app is beautiful and full of info. It's worth the pro version (I bought it). My only negative criticisms are with no universal search (have to open the menu and switch to a different dex to search within a given category, ex: types don't appear in results from the PokeBall, you have to switch to Type Dex) and some text is hard to read due to color contrast (but the colors are really nice).

The UI looks very nice but from a functionality view point there are a few minor annoyances, like the fact that you need to change the gen of Pokemon data everytime if you want older gen data, and everytime it defaults to the last gen the Pokemon occured in. Maybe have an option to change that. And the fact that you can't swipe to change the sections in Pokemon data. Also how do I select multiple generations or types when filtering, I can only select one

I really enjoy this App and used it for Brilliant Diamond to catch all pokémon. But this leads me to my problem: I started playing pokémon shield and now every pokémon I caught in BD is shown there as caught, too. So I would be pleased if there was the feature that the caught pokémon are only shown for the edition you chose. And there are still some german translations missing. I tried to help translating, but it tells me that it was translated completely.

A nice, comprehensive and clean looking pokemon database. It is sad however to see that you cannot contact them directly for help or feedback. Opening the help&feedback panel automatically opens a mail but no contact adress is provided. I tried contacting them about missing pokemon in their pro teambuilder feature. As pokemon like alolan ninetails are definately in the game but after selecting game version (ss) areunavailable in the app. I hope this is just an oversight and will be fixed shortly

A very nice pokedex, and very well made, but a suggestion. Please group gigantamax with mega evolution, and not with things like regional variances, as it is a form of Temporal evolution (power increase), and regional variants (like alolan) are entirely different pokemon (permanently). I want to be able to hide gigantamax without hiding things like regional variances. Thank you very much. P.S.: I would be happy about a reply from the development team.

I like this app and its pretty useful too, i'd been using it in a year now:) to help me in my pokemon journey, I wish in he next update their would be a pokemon comparison like ranking the pokemon who's the strongest (like who has a higher stat base,etc.) From highest to lowest, that might be quite handy and easy to find what you looking for, please add this new feature in the next update:).

I love this app and the pro version is more than worth it. My only issues are with the Team Builder as not all pokemon are available and the ItemDex as some entries have no data nor does it say where the item is or what gen it is. But overall I love this app.

This is amazing how up-to-date it is compared to my preferred Pokedex app. I prefer the interface of my preferred Pokedex app, but I recently purchased a switch, so I have to adapt. This 4 star rating may turn into a 5 star rating, once I have grown used to it.

Why aren't there any photos anymore anyways This is really helpful and cool maybe add some 3d pokemons or maybe when you click a move it shows how they do the move in 3d that's about all maybe add more themes and like sound , soothing sounds so while we're studying the pokemon there's music to acompany us! 😁✌

easy to use interface that feels a lot like an actual pokedex, only downside is you can only use your google acct to sign in if you want to do so(not neccesarry to use the app) , the pro is worth it for the dark mode alone but the team builder and other features put it over the top

My review was removed? The app has a feedback button that doesn't work. It just opens an email with a blank "To" field regardless of the email app. Looks a lot like they are trying to stop this from getting out that they don't take any bug reports. The app was already pretty meh to begin with but this is really frustrating. I recommend the alternative & cheaper options out there instead. Goldex is a great one for example.
