I absolutely love this app. I use it regularly. It's so quick & handy to access, & easy to use. It's simple, yet adaptable. Entries are dated (you can go back & access them through a calendar; there's also 'throwback' to jump back & see the entry one year ago). You can enter multiple entries on one day. You can also create titles for your entries, & I'm not aware that there's a word limit. It feels organised. I find it useful to write on when a pad & pen is not, say, when walking.
I've been using this app and the website to write journal entries for years, and it has worked great for me for a long time. My main complaint with recent versions, however, is the formatting of text on the mobile app. When entering new lines/paragraphs while writing, the spacing between them appears wider than they will actually be when you save the entry and read it, where no spacing will exist. In order to get enough space between paragraphs, you need to insert a blank line in-between.
i changed the rating from 5 to 3 because the app keeps deleting my entries instead of saving them. it has happened a lot. this morning, while entering a particularly long entry, i saved it before continuing to write by using the edit feature and after the edit and completion, it was completely gone instead of being saved. not even the first save was there. very frustrating. i do like the app. its good but thats a big problem.
I'm using this app from last year and it's really fun and simple one compares to other. But from last update I feel like some bugs are showing up, as whenever you save a day and opened it back again, the alignment and spacing just disappears. Making it hard to read and navigate.
Why am I required to login through Google or Facebook to access my journal entries? I want nothing to do with either of those companies. I do not feel safe, secure or private using this app. Also, their constant, non-stop attempts to get you to upgrade are just as annoying and intrusive as ads. This app gets worse and worse with every update. Deleted. Goodbye.
Please do not change, I have tried many and many diary programs but they were all bad, I have used this program for two years, it is the best in moving between devices and saving data and everything, thank you, But I have one problem, entre photos is harder now and this makes me sad please fix this
The Dayboook is a good little app to keep notes and thoughts of course like any app, the free version is limited. I really find it useful & wish I could upgrade to the premium version. Thee only reason I can't give it five star is because of the lack of being able to protect the entries
I've been facing too many problems since last two months. Spaces are not working after save, sometimes I cannot scroll the note down! After saving, it seems the note gets down under a white box, as a result I cannot see the rest portion of the note. Please fix these problems.
I really love this app!! i've been using it for 2 years now. Hmm, can you add a feature which enables us to pin diary entries at the top? it doesn't have to be all of them. maybe like around 3-4 maximum :)
STAY AWAY. I USED IT FOR 6 MONTHS AND DECIDED TO UPGRADE TO PREMIUM. I clicked on a link and it erased all my entries. Any app that cannot protect your data is not worth the money. Then just try and find any support. Bub bye
I hope the creators notice this! 😊 I want to give a 5 star rating, but there's a problem I encountered. I'm using this app for almost 3 years and I created two accounts for a purpose. My problem is switching accounts is really hard. I already tried to clear the app's cache and data, but still I can't switch my accounts. I hope there's a way to easily log in my accounts!
developed a gluten intolerance. needed to keep a food diary, but wrong time of year to get a physical one. eventually (a bit slow I am) I realised I could just use an app ... I'm also forgetful so the prompt when I crawl into bed really helps. been good.
After using few weeks I started to have problems with Alerts, it's not doing them, when I remember few days later & enter manually up come all the other reminders. I'm going to ditch my subscription soon it not reliable. Don't like the colours of themes not enough choice.
This app is kind of useless unless you're really bad at keeping a journal. Paid version seems really pointless, functionality is all over the place/nonexistent. Pick up a pen and paper instead.
I appreciate this app! It does what it says and the extra prompts the app shows is helpful. I like what the creators are implementing into the app. I want the app to change their use of emojis, they look tacky. I wish when making our own mood options that we could add pictures and capitalize words and space the words for example I want to type," Mental Health." But the app looks like,"mentalhealth." Just needs finishing touches
This is th by far the best overall diary for free. 😉. I want to give an suggestion to the developed of this wonderful diary that there's no feature to search the calendar. If I want to go browse last year enteies I have to manually rewind the months by the back arrow above the calendar. I request you to add a simple date browsing feature so that we can navigate to the year ans month easily on the calendar view. I don't think it's even in pro version.
This is a really great app! It's perfect for writing down lots of different things like anxiety checks and dream journalling. It also asks you every day how you are feeling, and let's you fill in as much or as little info with your emotion review. No ads either unless you count the premium version. This one's a keeper.
Good app, easy accessibility and secure. Can add a reminder for sharing the moment happens on that particular day, from previous yr this will help us to know what happened earlier and bring moments together.
This app is good from all apps and the best thing is it very simple and secure it I got tension free since used. The first shopkeepers used to make more bills in the month's borrowings, but since it was found about the app, it started saving since then. Dil se to app maker Thank you
does the job. I wanted something simple just for everyday journaling and this works great. would love it more if there was some basic formatting (bullet points for lists). bold for subtitles etc.
Great writing app. I love seeing the time stamps, date and also having the ability to attach photos. It is so easy to use and it's encouraging me to write every day.
Really a good and amazing. It became a real good app and also my best friend so that i can share anything in this... Thank you daybook for providing us the best app. Real simple and nice UI. fonts make the beauty.... thank you so much daybook.
Very easy interface with very useful daily use such as any thoughts or ideas as well as any knowledge gained day to day life.
Nice simple program. Does what it is supposed to do. Uncluttered with large enough font (adjustable font size).
Goodbye Day One, Hello Daybook! Simple and easy to use, no forced ads to get premium and I appreciate there is a desktop version to use as well.
extremely simple to use and it suits my needs also there is added sense of privacy just by the phone mechanics so i would recommend this to anyone cause even a friend had heard about it and he thought it was good. so don't ask for more props thats all your getting lol. The only pit fall is they premium doesn't allow you to pay, so upgrading ain't happening.
tried to sync the app to a new phone and it deleted all my entries on the old phone. Lost 4 years of entries just like that
I downloaded Daybook to compare with my current journal in Diaro. The features Daybook has seem to work well, but it's really lacking a lot of functionality. The things I particularly didn't like are the images added to a rapidly scrolling slide show at the top of the post. Clicking on an image displays a very poor quality full sized picture. Also there's no way to add tags or moods to posts.
