Couldn't even start. Every time I tried to start I got an error message 'unfortunately dayframe has stopped' ....as if it ever started. Uninstall ASAP.
So... This thing never... Never signs into Dropbox, no matter his many times I try... Really the only reason I downloaded it. Glad I never bought anything
Doesn't work. Looks like it hasn't been upgraded for years.
crashed on android 4.4
cast not working
No longer maintained by the developer. Seems like it would have great features (was really looking forward to Timers), but all the actual useful integrations are broken... Dropbox is straight broken. Google Photos integration is horrible (doesn't pick up shared albums or other cloud stuff). Also has display bugs, like cropping portrait photos when in landscape mode. Really disappointed.
I paid for the premium Prime features and one would expect the developer to at least fix the problem that the app does not even start. Instead they went all quiet since the broken app got released in August 2016. I am not a happy paying customer.
Chromecast function is completely broken.I can work around most of the other annoyances, but that at least needs to be fixed. Dropbox is also broken now. Generally no updates anymore. To bad 'cause once upon a time this was the best slideshow on android.
Timers don't work in Android 4.4. There are no transition effects. Weather won't stay on the screen. Other than those limitations, this is the best photo frame that I have found. 3.1 won't open, crashes on startup. Please revert back to the old code or update, I sent logs.
I really wanted to give this app a better review. The last version of this app worked really well, but recently I have had trouble even accessing my photos within the app, much less casting them. I'm not sure what happened for them to take a huge step backwards. It is such a great idea in theory and should not be particularly difficult to execute given how long it has been since the last update of the software. This app is still being marketed aggressively and yet there has been no response to the many request of formally loyal fans. This application biggest Advantage was its ability to integrate with several platforms that are very popular, but instead of including something as simple as integration with Google photos, the app has a bizarre integration with Google Plus. Given how popular Daydream screensavers have become the developers are missing out on a prime opportunity take advantage of today's 4K technology.
It's a nice app to reuse an old tab as a photo frame. It could be a 5-star app if it included plenty of transition options (like every other photo frame app, or jquery based slideshows online), and an intelligent way to pan and zoom (portrait photos, for example, often show the subject's feet first and disappear by the time the image pans to the knees!). Will give it 5 stars when they fix this.
Does a terrible job of animating photos, chopping off most of frame. Doesn't work with Google photos albums directly - kind of pointless
I like that I can pull photos from synced folder from my drive for a slide show / daydream. It has more versatility than the default android daydream.
Confusing interface for album selection. Needs to be updated to support current Google photos features. Can only pay one album at a time, so not very useful. Need to be able to select multiple albums across different services.
Doesn't seem to play Google photo albums that are shared with you. The album does show up in the google + or photos list.
Some nice ideas, nice UI, many sources, but very buggy, crashing a lot, after while even each time I try to start the app - I deleted the data, but after time I always get there again (Dropbox source?)..any will to fix? The developers does not react at all even I paid for the full version. Edit: I found the much better app: Social Frame.
This used to be an amazing app to put photos on my TV. Now it crashes immediately on my phone and when chrome casting on my tablet. Contacting support hasn't resolved anything.
Did not let me cast to my chromecast. Had the following error: Requested url not found
404 error. Nexus 6p w/ Android 7.0 attempting to cast to a second gen Chromecast. Seems like a great app; looking forward to it being usable.
Before any sort of boot up of the app I get told it has stopped, every time.
Awful app. Lacks customization options and forces you into the developers ideal of how photos should be displayed on a photo frame. The developers have terrible taste and have no idea what people want in a photo frame. Don't waste your time on this garbage.
It does the job but it needs some more work. The UI behaves in a weird manner and it is not intuitive. Also, it does not support SMB to access network drives and computers neither DLNA.
Good but sometimes hangs and I have to clear the cache. Would be better if it showed the googl e album name on the photo too
Pish. I can't find anyway to view my own photos that aren't zoomed in beyond recognition
Doesn't work on a chromebook. The description makes it sound like this would be exactly what I'm looking to accomplish, but sadly it won't go full screen on a chromebook
Will not start on Galaxy Tab 4 with Android 4.4.2. I've restarted the device multiple times.
Spent ages trying to get pics from my phone to play and just couldnt. Waste of time
sadly Error 502 is all I get now when trying to link with Chromecast. Renders the app pointless now for me.
I also wanted to turn a recently bought tablet into a digital picture frame. But I failed to select a self-created directory on the tablet as a new source for the images. Seems like the others had the same problem. I am a programmer myself and work as an IT expert but this app shows me my limits! I removed the app again.
