Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) treatment is a type of psychotherapy — or talk therapy — that utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach. It began with efforts to treat borderline personality disorder (also known as Emotional Instability Disorder). DBT has been conceptualized as a treatment that is broadly applicable for individuals who have difficulties regulating emotion. Empirical evidence now supports the use of DBT adapted for eating disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD.

There's so much good here. The makers really know DBT. BUT, the app freezes a lot, especially when I try to access my history; and the upload of the history as a pdf is not very good. Also, the quiz questions have all kinds of grammar and punctuation errors, and "yes" or "no" questions give you the answer choices of "true" and "false." I signed up for premium service but ultimately canceled my subscription. This app has too many issues to be behind a paywall. Uninstalled...for now.

Love the app. Good content and the ability to customize skills targets and activities. Also ability to create crisis survival list and checking against them. And then see how used them in the past. Also love the fact that I can do more than entries per day and they all show up cleanly organized. Also upgraded for summary. Thanks guys! The support is awesome. They answer questions in less than 5 mins of sending them emails

This is the Best DBT App so far! I love DBT Companion too for its rich content with so many videos. I was pleasantly surprised to see this application as I have been using DBT 911 for 3 years now. Unfortunately with that app, you cannot do diary card multiple times a day and the design is horrible. This app also does have the ability to create graphs of your progress find that is an invaluable tool to be able to look and actually see that you are making progress! Progress breeds progress!

Difficult to set up/personalize. Have to go through the input section and edit options, but the app restarts every time you change things so you have to go through the process many times. Also refuses to accept my therapist's phone number as an input. Suggest putting the personalization of Thoughts/Urges, Emotions/Feelings and Actions/Behaviors under settings and not forcing the app to restart every change. I will see how usage goes after the personalization process.

it's well intentioned and could be super useful.... but the meditations aren't coded well. You can't go back, pausing is weird and makes you skip parts (a second or two, but it's enough), and my screen keeps timing out and it'll stop playing so I've got to turn it back on every minute or so.

Could not get app to show even the main menu screen. After initial install, got an error message "no internet connection found" when I tried to run the app. This is an Android tablet, not a cell phone, and I rarely have WiFi, so I need this app to work off-line. If an internet connection is required and there is no off-line mode, this needs to be stated explicitly in the description.

Beautiful app! would give a 10 if it was possible. Love it! Finally someone who knows DBT seems like has designed and built the app. I have everything about DBT on my phone. Enough of lugging around the 3 lb manual and forgetting it at work or home. Also just set up the Alexa skill. Wow! I am hooked. I was apprehensive at first. Checked in on Alexa and I see it in the entries screen.

This app is simple and easy to record entries and journal. Also love the skill explanations and explanations with practice ideas. Love the reminders feature where I can create custom reminders for anything. The affirmations also get me going in the moring. Also the fact that I can do my diary card entries and learn skills from multiple devices and be all automatically synced to the same account is fabulous.

A comprehensive & helpful app, which is refreshing. All though there is a subscription for premium features, it is well worth it. Allows diary card customisation, crisis list management, and the ability to share with therapist. I have used DBT911, but the design of this so awesome and wants me to do diary card everyday. I also love the meditations and affirmations

This is by far the best diary card app. I have been using a free diary card app, until someone from my group told me about this. This so intuitive also capture much more than DBT specific stuff. I shared the report with my therapist and she was pleasantly surprised! Thank you guys.. Also I upgraded and love how I can see all the summary in beautiful charts

Absolutely love this!!! Thanks so much for doing this, they don't do DBT in my area so I'm trying to teach myself and this will be a very useful tool. The user interface is awesome too. I would even pay $15 / month since there's so much in the app. I pay $10/ month for meditations alone today

I was waiting for an app like this all these years. It has everything I was looking for and it even has relevant meditations. I like that I can share my diary card entries with my therapist in a very clear format unlike other DBT apps. The analytics such as Diary Card streak will definitely help me keep up being up to date.

Really like the app, Love that I can customize skills targets etc and also can do multiple entries. The design with icons makes me remember things better. Also very user friendly and easy to use. All other DBT apps havent taken usability into account like this app.

Everything requires premium. Someone else said the same and the company said "everything except summary and custom targets and sharing with the therapist are free" yea and those 3 things are basically the whole entire app. Also it's not a one time purchase, it's a monthly subscription with no different levels of membership.

You have to pay a recurring fee to get any worth out of this app. You might as well just download a mood tracker app for free and it will more or less be the same. I think it's ridiculous that you can't even us the 'call your therapist' function without paying for the app. I mean how greedy can you be? And the responses to the negative reviews are completely unprofessional.

Amazing Within 5 minutes, I was blown away by the comprehensive availability of skill definitions, wise mind activities, affirmations, modules, and on and on. You really have got it all in one package here and I think it's a fantastic app. I appreciate what you've done and I look forward to sharing it with others who struggle with the same things I do. I really can't say enough about how amazing this app is. Thank you.

Great Design. Very intuitive. Didn’t need to have the tour. I had some trouble signin up due to confirmation code etc.. And reached out support. They responded immediately. FYI, you guys by mistake click back button on Confirmation Code screen, You can still get there by clickin on Enter Confirmation Code link on the Signup page. Once I got in, I was amazed how coool this app is

In less than 24 hours this app has helped me with so many minor and major things, I havnt yelled or broken down too much by using tools included it's also helped me to identify names of feelings and how to cope, and the support is great as I had small issue with app and they replied so quickly I didn't even start to panic, I actually used app to help cope with not being able to use app (I'm not good with technology) buying full version on Monday I start DBT in January so I needed to find this exact app, I couldn't ask for better, looking forward to there next app as well

DBT skills all in the palm of your hand. This app is great for therapists to recommend to their clients. No more paper or forgetting diary cards. Great for people who have difficulty organising themselves.

I would have rated this app as 4. However, after seeing my review about the DBT Coach app the developers didn't like because I rated it a 2 (meant to be 3), they sent me a negative email and disabled my use of DBT Daily despite my having already signed up for the premium version. And just got another snarky email, so lower rating. Apart from many icons not being familiar (no labels) and some parts not intuitive, I actually liked this app. The way the developer handles complaints, not so much.
