it's great again! so useful to know when the bus is coming, no matter where i am in the dmv.

Not the prettiest but it has served me well on train and bus throughout the years very reliable. My only wish is that you give the interface a "material design" overall.

App no longer works. Crashes when you select the bus direction. Had to reinstall a previous version from a backup. No response to email when I asked about restoring backup as it couldn't find it even though it existed. Developer used to be responsive. Actually, contact doesn't even work within the app. Had to come to Google Play to get address from here. Since I can't have this updated, can no longer auto-update any of my apps which is a pain.... Original review: One of my most used apps. It is wonderful and simple. Many issues I thought it was having was actually due to my signal transitioning between wifi and data. The developers even helped me transfer my favorites over from the free version. Also supports the Circulator. Any incorrect info isn't their fault. They get the info from Metro, just like Next Bus. Was worth paying for just because it's so good and useful. Have installed and used in every device I own, making sure to restore the settings over as well.

App was great until the Android Oreo update broke widgets for all non-Oreo users. I bought and used this everyday until it broke... :(

Thank you, you wonderful app people! I use this thing every morning! Would it be possible to add buses to the widget?

Developer appears to have abandoned this, and ignores all incoming e-mail messages at the listed support address (which is grounds for being banned from the Google Play store). The app's most important function (shortcuts) has been broken since Android 8.0 and higher. Best to find another app than this that works and is supported.

The widget stopped working on my Pixel.

Please bring back the old trip planner. I loved knowing which trains I could get on and how long it would take. The old trip planner was amazing, new one not so much

I really don't get the point of an app like this when it can never predict when the bus is going to arrive like its supposr to do. Almost every stop gives me this no prediction garbage. Extremely unreliable.

Was great until they removed the trip planner.

I got a new phone, and the trip planner was unavailable with no way to fix it, so I switched back to my old phone…the trip planner is unavailable there too. Seems like the last update broke it. That's really the only feature I bought this for.

I'm disappointed to learn that the trip planner function has been removed. I used it two or three times a week. Are there plans to bring it back? The rest of the app appears unchanged, to my relief, because I rely on the next train and next bus features daily.

I love this app, but starting today, it started crashing constantly, and the widget no longer works.

Where is my refund? Your widget no longer works and your app crashes several times a day. I used to LOVE this app.

I love the free version so I upgraded to the paid version. I only wish I could transfer my settings and favorites from the free version to the paid version!

It allows me to perfectly time my walks in the morning, after work, after the gym, etc. I've come to depend on this app over the years and appreciate its clean & stable UI. My only wishlist items are a cloud backup for favorites and a more robust widget with multiple stations' next train statuses. Besides that, I can't recommend it enough!

Used for years. No issues ever. Paid app is worth it.

Great app, but only makes short time predictions

Love it. Easy to use.

I continue to really like using this app. Glad I paid for it long ago. The secret sauce is the variety of regional transit buses, which is more than a little bit handy.

It would be nice if the full trip planner (rail+bus and by address in addition to by station) were included, if you could type the first few letters to select stations quicker, and if there were a way to store directions for later reference

Yes, the lack of ads and supporting a developer... As well as the fact it works is all well and good, but the premium version isn't so premium. I can't port over my favorites from the free version! Plus, where is the cloud sync?

Jos. S. Oct 10, 2014

The app routinely mistakes the 16Y bus for the 16X bus, which makes catching the 16X bus next to impossible as only every 3rd or 4th bus listed actually shows up (the rest are 16y buses that will stop, right on schedule). Since that's my route, that makes this app completely useless. I would give zero stars if possible. I paid for the full app, after all.

I've tried other Metro apps, and this one is hands down the best in terms of ease of use and functionality. I use it to see how tight transfers will be and whether it's worth it to wait for a bus. Finally upgraded to the paid version, which I should have done years ago.

Ste. J. May 15, 2014

I assumed the paid version would be better than the free version. I was wrong. I've had this app for nearly six months. Franconia-Springfield has shown "data not available" for every day of that time.

I use all the time. But can we have a smartrip balance checker
