Setting negative ratings because you don't like the colors, or because the product is missing a feature that you want, is not very helpful. It is much more productive to share your problems with us, and try to solve them together. Thanks for understanding!

Excellent local media playlist based music player. Also plays internet streams well. The codec pack that adds Atari ST music support is the most important feature to me, and the playback for such music is the best I've seen in any player, of any platform. The purchase price is completely reasonable. And I don't see much of an issue with there not being any updates lately, because it's exactly what it needs to be, for me.

This is a fantastic update to the mostly defunct DeaDBeef App. Unfortunately, it's been 3 years and several Android updates since the app has seen any work. I love that I can transfer playlists around and the like, but no OLED theme, the strange 2 settings menus, and the notification control functions not being persistent or customizable beg for a 2020 update. Thanks for listening...

Overall great app, 2 suggestions, could the check box in the file browser be on the left side? The scroll bar interferes with it and you can't select folders at the bottom of the list. Also, having a button to select more folders from the album art view, instead of having to drop down into playlist first

Works well, but without a widget, it's useless. Plus it looks like the developer has abandoned this app too, with no updates in 12 months. Might as well use the original DeaDBeeF player.

doesn't have any sort of cross-functionality with the desktop app. if I'm gonna just load files from my phone's file explorer there are much better options. doesn't even have a widget

I preferred the old Deadbeef with an actual black dark theme and most importantly gapless playback which the new one doesn't have and that's the biggest dealbreaker for me.

Gas guzzler, drains battery like crazy, uninstalled. Giving 2 stars, because the Linux version (deadbeef) is still somewhat usable.

The application crashes when trying to add files to the library, meaning that I've never actually mansged to play anything yet! I've reported these crashes too!

Sound quality is great just like original deadbeef (only USB audio player pro can beat it) and requires very few permissions. No smb or upnp support still, however. I also hate the in-app purchase model. Good thing I had already purchased a deadbeef key, which the developer kindly made work for ddb2.
