Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare

The game play is fun, some levels are clearly set up for pay2win players. The art is good. The idea is good it's like a pseudo tower defense. What I don't like is the wait time, or cost of upgrades. I'm giving it a bit longer to see if the game play improves or if tactics are rewarded vs hamfisting the phone. It's worth trying thus far, but idk if it's worth keeping.

This game started off great but after getting 75% through the missions, it plateaus and new unlockable characters become absolutely ridiculously expensive and for no reason either. This game almost requires you to buy in game currency to have a shot at finishing it. Then there's player vs player leagues where those who buy their characters win. There's nothing else to it. Just pay to win. Doesn't matter what your team is, doesn't matter how much time you spent upgrading them. Just get bent.

Such a good game, and I really wish I could give it a full 5 stars. I'm going to start off by saying I love this game's art style, and the gameplay is interesting and challenging, on top of that, the first 5 stages of the game are very fun to play through, albeit challenging. But then as you progress, things get much more expensive, for reference, I have 2,300 coins which took me extremely long to get, and the unit I need is 35 thousand. Forcing you to buy the microtransactions.

Its a great game. All units are well balanced but the unit cost on buying one was too expensive, and I even need to watch a video on every mission which is frustrating. But due to supply run, it helps me really well. Things are way more balanced now. I also have a suggestion for a character. I may not be great at the art but this might help. The unit was a Mercenary, and they're using an AK-47 with a bayonet attached to it, allowing for a balanced, long and close quarters combat.

The game is very fun and looks very good for anyone who likes pixel art, the gameplay is addictive and has some strategic depth. The only problem is the same as many free mobile games, the limit on how much you can play. You get only 20 points, and each stage costs 2 to play and ends really quickly. If you want to play more than that, you gotta watch 30 sec ads each time. That gets old really quickly, specially with such a cool game.

It's a good game. A little repetitive. No forced ads but a lot of ads you can watch to get rewards. Very expensive micro transactions. The balancing is terrible for a f2p player. It's a decent time waster when you've got nothing else to do. Would love to see more games in the same lore and art style. The art style is my favorite part of the game.

Overall a very fun game. It's got quite a few different units and strategies to play with. My only complaints would be that while the ads are optional, they feel mandatory because of how scarce resources are, and getting any of the paper currency (the stuff you buy with real money), is very difficult for a casual and free player. It's hard to feel rewarded when your just grinding the game out forever. I'm on map 4 but I'm stuck grinding every resource possible from map 1 just to compete.

This game has so much potential. The actual mechanics are wonderful, the art is fantastic. I would honestly and happily pay for a full version of this game. The micro transactions, however, take a game that could be amazing, and ruins it. It's not balanced even close to balance. A bus upgrade costs 4k+ by level 10, you get at most 110ish for a first time victory if you watch an ad, that's 40 missions. not a first time clear? 10-25, that's 160, which would take 320 energy, 30 hours of recharge.

Grindy, and any enemy that sprints make the level five times harder because they just run right past your defenders. Overall, moderately fun and worth a few bucks. Ads are insanely intrusive. 3/30/22 update: The grind is even worse and the game has not been fixed. 'Difficult' just means the game is going to throw a bunch of enemies at you immediately, and there's no way to buy upgrades to build water (how you summon defenders) faster, meaning you just get swamped. Of course you can buy powerups!

It's a great game, that much I can tell you. But I'm barely getting my units to level 4 and it's already becoming a very annoying problem getting coins. The most you can get is by three starring a level, then you have to watch the full 30 second ad. That gets you about 100 coins. Mind you the cheapest character for me right now is 2,200 coins. So I would have to do a level 22 times getting a perfect 3 stars on my first try to be able to unlock 1 character. This would be a 5 but the problems man.

I love the game but I feel there are way too much restrictions, in terms of recruiting new characters, getting resources, fuel and other resources that would make the playability more friendly and would keep the players hooked for hours, instead of waiting a long time when your tank is empty. As well the damage that the bus can handle make it really hard to get 3 stars. It gets hit by one zombie and immediately 10% damage is taken?? Come on!! 😒 Other than that... Fun, I guess.

The gameplay is unique and challenging, however the grind is quite the struggle. Still, that feeling of getting a perfect run and getting three whole stars is so satisfying. Another criticism is the reliance on ads. To get the best rewards, it's OPTIMAL to watch ads to get more coins and fuel. I appreciate the extra resources, but still.

One of the best games I've ever played in years. The graphics are nice the game is so addictive. Everything is so easy to understand and to the point. But unfortunately after a while you realize that it's a paid to win game. The game loses its balance and you get stocked in missions with over powered and amazingly strong zombies and bosses. You gain so little that you are not able to level up a unit or buy a stronger one. I'm so sorry to see that the developers are ruining such an amazing game.

The art and animations as well as gameplay is well balanced however, with the leveling system holding you back from trying new team set-ups and make you want to stick with something that isn't going to work because all of your other units are under leveled. It starts to feel annoyingly grindy just to have the option of more freedom. Even more so since you are forced to wait or watch ads to get more time to play or retry missions with the fuel meter. Tldr... game pretty but slow and grindy AF!!!!

If I could give 0, I would. This game is pay to win all the way. You will hit a pay wall regularly. Levels that should be easy to beat can only be done after leveling up, which requires purchases. Every aspect has been monetized. It's a fun game, al la Plants vs Zombies, if you are willing to drop $10-$20/week.

It's a really great game! Awesome animation and all. Just like the only thing keeping me from giving you a 5 Star, is that the upgrade for the buses and troops are way to expensive. Then we also don't get as much rewards for 3 starring a mission, so it would be great if you guys could bump up the cash we get.

Not a bad game I like it but it needs some tweaking. For the price of units and upgrades the payout for completing missions is mad mediocre making a lot of grinding for coins and parts pretty much inevitable unless you watch ads or pay for content. Difficulty spikes pretty fast. Lots of missions are full of damage sponges that spawn infinitely that will eat up all your time or fast units that sprint through your forces ending the mission before it even starts properly. Water needs a slight boost

The game has an artificial difficulty spike, and the liquid to produce units are way too slow. The game is fun when u finally beat the level after so many tries, but some zombies like the witch and runner are just op. The game is good when it gives you a chance, but that's extremely rare.

I enjoy this game a ton! The blood, the ai, the story, the upgrading, the variety of zombies, and customizable bus. I enjoy the gameplay and how you send people out of the bus, throw barrels, medkits etc. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars at the moment is because I haven't played it for too long, but if I keep playing the game I'll eventually bring it to 5 stars! 😎👍 🧟

The game seems fun for 4-5 hours, after that it becomes really hard. You'll probably have to spend some money after that to progress or you can do it the slow way and keep collecting money and points over time. The game is a really great concept tho, I wish it came out before microtransactions were a thing.

Honestly, the only mobile game I've liked a lot so far. The animations, design, and gameplay is pretty good. I'd rate it 5 stars if it wasn't for the slow progress as you level up mainly due to poor rewards. It becomes extremely difficult to upgrade characters and get coins to buy even more characters in order to defeat the next levels. Otherwise, it would be even more enjoyable

This game is very addicting and fun to play. It has great gameplay and all, BUT once you reach a certain point, it all that great experience is blocked off by a pay wall. You're basically forced to buy micro transactions just so you can have a easier time leveling up. If you refuse to pay, you're left grinding 100 - 300 coins, while the price range of characters and upgrades can be in the thousands. It's a great game, but ruined by all the in-game purchases.

One of the best tug of war style games I've ever played, i have a few complaints about the farming and grinding system and the (kind-of) outrageous prices of units and items BUT it doesnt mean that its pay to win, its possible to finish it. Just need some elbow grease! I love the arts and animations and the characters. as a veteran player im thankful for the new systems you guys put in place for one example the "star system" it helps new players a lot. Thats all.
