Very fun story. Sometimes there's a lack of choice that can be frustrating but it's still enjoyable. Some parts where a bit too short and would have been better if longer (Ace). The in-game purchases didn't bother me, I thought it was good to have these breaks in the game (you can watch ads to avoid waiting BTW). Hoping to play more of your games!

AWESOME! I'm so sad the story ended like that, but I'm so glad that it's somehow a happy ending. Really awesome game, doesn't require us to use currencies to make important and correct choices, and only requires us to watch a little amount of ads to progress through the story compared to other story games, overall a terrific game, would 100% recommend playing it!

I really liked this game, honestly. Even with the ads you had to watch if you didn't want to wait. I was actually scared to make the wrong choice and i was invested for the 2 ish days it took me to finish the game. I think it would be cool to have an option to see the choices you made like it would do at the end of a chapter/day. I would want to see if i could get them all and not be worried to lose what i had but other than that it was pretty awesome and i'd play it again to try different ways.

Wasn't bad, some parts were captivating others, kind of annoying. In all though. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Wish alot more things could've been explained better when it comes down to the story. But other than that, I'm now onto my second game like this one. This just became the gateway piece into a whole new style of gaming for me! Was real nice to have something to do when waitin around or just chillin for a bit. Without getting immersed into a whole game. Onto Duskwood I go!

The story for this game is engaging, tense, and very well-written! The English is a little broken at times, but it usually wasn't bad enough to hinder my understanding or enjoyment of the game. My one complaint is that on day 4, the broken English combined with some abrubt pacing made me confused about what exactly was going on. Still, overall, it was well woth watching a handful of ads to enjoy playing!

Soo, its a well made add... But you get like 3 lines of dialogue before it's like "k talk to you in a bit" and you have to wait anywhere between like 5-30 minutes of nothing, the story is slow, it's not something you can actively do for fun, it makes you stop after very choice you make, why would you make people playing your game have to stop playing it after 3 minutes....

Heartbreaking ending, and a good plot. What I just want to add is: the next chapter. After finishing the game in 2 hours (with skips), I think a next chapter will make the game even better. If adding gender is also good, it can be a great addition if this game updates. Oraybe having more choices. But, this game really made me say "wow" today.

An interesting game I enjoyed. It starts very slow and it's difficult to get into. Sam will disappear after literal seconds of gameplay. This requires ads or payment to skip, but it starts before you can even get into the game. I love to support developers, but it's excessive. Seconds of gameplay is not a joke at times! But when the story does pick up, it's an interesting diversion. It never fully gripped me, maybe because of the constant interruptions, but overall it was enjoyable.

I wish I could give it 5 stars, because the game looks good so far and entertaining, but the Ads are annoying. It's not like I'm lazy to watch 30 second ads to skip the long pauses between the scenes, but the fact that Ads button doesn't even work properly! It works rarely, let's me watch one ad, and then it forces me to wait minutes and sometimes hours before I'm allowed to continue playing. This is annoying.

It gets 5 stars from me because it's a great game, despite the few grammar problems. I didn't get into it right away, but it didn't take long. It isn't a pay to win game; no pop-ads (just a tiny ad at the bottom of the screen); you can skip delays by watching a short ad. I really enjoyed this games. It felt uncomfortably real at times. And I like how it tells you what other readers chose at the end of each chapter!

Really good! It is your generic mobile "choices change everything", BUT, the writing and the story is really intriguing even though it's about the overused zombies topic. You really start to grow some type of affection with the person at the other side of the screen. It's a quick game, even quicker if you choose to dismiss the realism and skip the 'waiting moments' the game has. Wish it was a bit longer, but it's still a decent game. Nothing AMAZING, but a great little game to play.

All in all a very fun time waster. There are only 2 things keeping it from being perfect. 1) the grammer, it's pretty clear the developers first language isn't english but the few errors are forgivable. 2) the way in which they chose to incorporate the "ad free version". It's a problem with many games that come out now and is by no means exclusive to this team. I look forward to seeing more work from them.

It was a great premise, an excellent story an executed well but unfortunately the app locked up on me during one point and it never recovered. I kept going back into it and it remained locked, frozen after it initialized.I have a new phone with 160 Gig of space 4 gig ram and it locked up. I'm so @#$'ing mad. ---- -- EDITED I re-installed the app, had to start from the beginning and finished the story. Again, great premise, great story. The ending was somewhat of a let down but acceptable. I was expecting a little more but over all unless it locks on you, you won't be disappointed. Would enjoy a sequel or another story like this.

While this game is a good idea, it is completely unenjoyable due to waiting on characters. The waiting is definitely bad enough, but it completely takes you out of the immersion that the game tries to incorporate you into. Sam will go off and do something after nearly every text I send, disrupting me from caring about what happens. If I didn't have to wait for as long or even as many times, I definitely would've enjoyed this game more.

It was amazing! At times I felt so immersed in the game that the second Sam texted me I picked up. One thing that is wrong is the spelling errors or rather grammar errors that felt off and slightly ruined immersion. And my last complaint is that I wish there was more! This was one hell of a ride and I'm getting the second one if it costs under 10 dollars. Truly a great game.

The pacing/ad mechanism is not good at all. It wants to create immersion by having a 'real time' aspect to the game...no problem. However the wait times are so frequent that every 20 seconds you will have one and the only way to play the game at a reasonable pace is to watch adverts constantly...which takes you OUT of the immersion. It feels like a ad grab at every moment. Painful. UI graphics are really nice though and the little dialogue I have seen seems good.

Aside from the other reviews telling you about the constant interruptions and wait, I'm more peeved by the slowness of each text coming through. Wish there was a button to make all the texts come out at once. Even exiting the game waiting for replies doesn't make the texts come out like a normal situation while doing something else. It just stops there and when you resume the game, it still has to go through each text slowly (I was trying to restart the game early on and found this too slow).

Cha. R. Mar 22, 2020

I really like the story and the character depth is fairly decent. Perhaps the only downside is the constant "breaks". After barely less than 2 to 10 minutes of gameplay you are faced with a break, you can skip this break by either paying or watching an ad OR you wait. Although this is normal for a game like this, you have way too many breaks in this game. So unless you're planning on buying the ad free version I'm going to warn you that this will get really frustrating after a few ads.

Jos. J. Sep 11, 2021

The story is so beautiful it moved me to tears. I totally reccomend that you dont skip ads ever, because it just adds to the beauty and realism. 10 stars if I could. Only thing, I'd like to see the very beginning fleshed put a little bit. Having some number text you that is apparently supposed to be someone really close to you, but you dont know them, makes no sense.

Ok I'll edit once I finish the game maybe, but for now, I love how you give statistics about the choices others have made playing this; seeing the majority choices is interesting. The game itself is also interesting, but there are way too many, too frequent wait times. I have to go do something else or leave the app a LOT & that's the opposite of immersive. 1 min of read-through, about 5 min of wait, repeat. I forget her (Sam) sometimes. But she's nice.

Interesting story that seems to come to an end too quickly although it's not really an ending, is it? The model for this game is much better than Duskwood (as in there is no stupid painful game to play). You can just pay the $3 and play without an issue, which I like. I just wish there was more to it... Like maybe having different characters to pick and seeing their story, etc. There isn't much replayability and like I said, no ending which is not very satisfying

The story was fairly enjoyable. i didnt feel that the choices really changed the story too much, especially later in the game. i liked the chapter reports but there wasn't one for the last chapter which is odd. I'm going to play it again to see how different choices affect the story but alternative endings would be appreciated as well. Regardless it was well worth the purchase.

I really enjoyed another game by this developer, so was looking forward to this one. Game mechanics were interesting, especially the immersion with wait times to make you feel like it was an actual conversation. However, the main character that you are helping was so annoying, I didn't finish because I couldn't stand "talking" to them. They were unable to make even a simple decision. I understand this may be part of the gamification of the situation, but not for me.

The game is awesome! So realistic and it relates with the real time. It's funny how you develop a bond over the person, Sam so fast that it's very hard to leave at the end. Everything is basically upto your choice. I'd really recommend this for people who love zombie related games but too scared to see them on screen. You get a experience like you are actually in the field where the zombies are but yet you won't see any scary faces. Very amazing! Hope they add another episode or smth to this!

I actually miss Sam. This is the first time that has happened playing a messenger game. Well done developers! Apart from a few grammar mistakes, I think it's a very solid game. The ads were well paced, I felt. It was rewarding enough to watch one and get to skip a few breaks. I would love to see a sequel from these developers where we get to speak to Sam (good choice of gender neutral name by the way) again after the escape.
