Dead2Me Call & Text Blocker

Many users are reporting failures in Answer and Hangup Mode with HTC Handsets. I am working to resolve these issues, however, for now, it is very likely that Dead2Me will not work in Answer and Hangup Mode (unless you have a wired headset plugged into your phone at all times
- and who on Earth has that).
The No Answer mode will work fine, but will allow callers to leave voicemails. The Text message blocking will work fine as long as you are using the stock Android text messaging app.
Dead2Me has two modes for call blocking, no answer and answer and hang up.
To let a user know they have been buried go to Settings -> Send Messages to Contact When and select Both.
To send a bounce back message when a buried caller tries to contact you go to Settings -> Message Frequency and select Every time I Block a Communication.To customize a bounce back message for an individual caller go to Settings -> Enable Custom Messaging.Then bury a caller or contact, go to the Graveyard and click on that caller's tombstone. Under the name and number you will see a box for a custom message for that caller.

Many third party text apps like Handcent and GoSMS interfere with Dead2Me. Despite settings in the latest releases of these apps that are supposed to make behave as specified in the Android documentation, the do not. Many people using these apps have been able to use Dead2Me, many have not.
Any problems with dead2me? Ideas on how to make it better? Got a phone it won't work on? Just let me know and I'll see what I can do. Contact me: [email protected].

I never review but this is the best app ever.I love how you never see the messages and never get alerts that the message was blocked. I love the message it sends everytime they write so they know that you do not want them in your life. If you are blocking a person its cause you do not want to read there long psychotic messages. I lobe not having to read this anymore. Thank you so much for creating this app:)
great app but I think the messaging system is a lil harsh, some stalker girl came to my house jus to tell me how much she was hurt by the "Dead2Me" message...all in all its great, phone doesn't ring/vibrate or anything, I changed my message "this T-Mobile # is no longer recieving calls" somethin like that
I tried to get the super duper app all I got was a message saying to retry. The link led to a site that didn't exist! The search continues for an app to block text messages and unwanted calls that also doesn't take control over your phone. When I tried to contact Mike by email the message bounced back saying dead2me doesn't exist and my message with the picture to show what I got came back to me. Come on Mike get the secondary app fixed so the app can be used man!!
You know the type I mean; that chick who says, sorry your call can't be completes as dialed. Message 4 0r the guy being like, the subscriber can't be reached at this Time. Message 2. Pls try call again later.
Used to work just fine. But because I supposedly have KitKat you want me to install another app that doesn't work. Well I'm not going to after the reviews I just read about the other stupid app that takes over my current text messaging. Fix it or I'm never downloading this app again and my review will stand
Confusing: It appears that you have to go to settings to setup Custom Message, then it applies to all buried numbers. All numbers already buried then gives you a blank prompt to put in your Custom Message, but what we really want is all numbers to default to default message, ability to select individual numbers for the custom message, and not have to go through Settings since it causes the appearance that all the numbers want it.
If you have two numbers, block one or a friend's number & you will see it no longer works. Thanks for nothing! I quite counted on telling people precisely what I think simply to then block them, so I never have to read their reply which only ecourages me to respond! This app USED to work perfectly.
App does exactly what its supposed to. I changed the default message to "The AT&T customer can no longer receive text messages".. lol my crazy ex doesnt even know I blocked her but now she is out of my life for good
I have the galaxy 5 all latest stuff ect. Got a crazy ex that doesn't leave me alone and I had the iPhone 4s didn't hear a thing as can block texts ect. Came to this and it doesn't work one bit. Texts come through all the time and the occasional phone call. One star as it doesn't do what you'd download it for.
Not to give a bad rating but this application is just horrible. Also the formating is also horrible too. I've seen way better. If they fix all the darn issues and don't want access to my entire phone.... I'll give a 5 star
So. For the most part, this app ia great but I'm having issues with a handfull of numbers. They are being blocked in that they don't show up on my call list and are unanswerable. BUT they do get through and for whatever reason, they are triggering my music app to play. I would like to think that my phone instinctively plays Skinny Puppy because it knows the call is bs but my logical mind can't agree with that. Any suggestions?
Things have been quiet since I blocked my bipolar ex, I tried every call and text blocking app, none of them worked. This one stopped the phone calls and the texts. To the developer, thank you so much for helping me put a end to the madness.
I like that I can block individual contacts and send them personal messages. I really like the fact that I can make it where they don't get to leave a voicemail. The thing I would change would be the caller showing up in my call list. Other than that, the app is working perfectly so far.
I absolutely love this app it was the app that would block calls and the text messages and you couldn't even see the text messages anymore but now its telling me that texting blocker no longer works and I have to download a whole different app and I'm not too sure about how to even get that other app to work please go back to how it was before and then I'll change it to 5 stars
The app isn't available for my version of Android. Maybe this isn't a fair rating since the description informs you that isn't available, but that still leaves it at a 1 star--I can't even use it, and I desperately need it. I'm really disappointed because the file size for this is very small and I was excited that it would take up such little space on my phone, unlike other similar apps. *sigh*
After choosing which contacts I wish to block, they appear in the cemetery with the tombstone. But I still get calls. I had to block them twice in order for it to work. This happened with two of the blocked contacts. And at times, the call still goes through and my phone rings once and it appears in my call log. :/
Got a new phone for Christmas 2015 and it runs 5.1 and now it doesn't block texts! Fix it! It's the best call/text blocker out there, or was. I don't want to download any extra stuff to make it work again and I can't find another app I liked as much. Fix it dad gummit
Just downloaded this app....tested it out with a friend and I'm already in love with it. My friend loved the pre - entered message that she received when she tried to text and call me.....but I have critique it just a bit to make it a little more of me. :-) This app does exactly what it states it does and I don't mind the new message app that had to go along with it!
I was being violently harassed via messaging from numbers I didn't even know and all the other block number apps just blocked that number from calling me. This one blocks them from messaging me too and it's really refreshing to know that I don't have to deal with that harassment anymore. & it's also great for blocking somebody from sending you messages for just awhile, because you can resurrect them if you wish to continue communication - great for naggy family members(:
I like the app I really do, but the message it sends out is just a little bit too much as a bit over the top. It's a good thing that can be disabled but it took me a while to figure out exactly how to disable it. Sometimes we want to just block somebody while they're hung up on an argument that you're done with, and when you block you only want to block them for a short time and that message kind of message something that may inflame things that you're just wanna let cool down. just a warning.
I had to install a different messenger app on my galaxy s4 in order for my dead2me app to actually block text messages. Since I have I can't send or receive most pictures. When group text come in I can't respond in the original messages. Some pics come in as a voice mail that I can't respond to and some text messages I dont even get. I'm going to uninstall both apps as they are not compatible with my phone. Very dissappointed. I used to swear by this app.:-(
