DealNews - Today's Best Deals

The original app was great, well thought-out and easy-to-use. The new app update wiped out my settings from the old app and is anything but convenient. I've lost everything I had saved and now I have to learn the new features to be able to use the app again. Why do some developers think that a complete redesign is an improvement? If I could give negative Stars I would rate the new design as a -5! When you have something that works, fix the bugs but otherwise leave it alone!

Dealnews has become my morning newspaper. It started with an email but after I discovered the app it was a no brainer to switch. It's gorgeous and it seems to only get better. With its sleek and clean design it's easy to move around and configure to anyone's liking. The team of developers that it's taken to get it to this state are really good, and it shows. My only problem is my own ability to control myself when it comes to buying deals that I don't necessarily need.

Used to be an excellent app full of great deals. Now over half of the deals are for 3rd party branded items on Amazon, most being knock-off items from China. Of course all those items are going to be cheaper than name brand items. #1, they're off-shore items. #2, comparison shopping is impossible considering there's no point of reference for pricing. No one else sells those items under that brand name. Very disappointing.

DN used to be good a year ago. I have seen a consistent decline with the apps quality. For one, deals often are sold out within an hour of posting but I understand why. Two, when I as a user find a real good deal and try to post it, I fall on deaf ears. Finally, editor's choice was FAR better than staff picks. Ever since it changed to the latter it's been, at best, mediocre deals.

Very functional & reliable but Slickdeals seems to show some sales before Dealnews does. And in some cases deals may expire or sell out within minutes so being first is very important. Hence, I check both daily. Slickdeals' interface is not as user-friendly as Dealnews'; otherwise, I'd switch over completely. So I had to knock half a star off for not being first to report all deals (like i said, i check both so i see this in real time).

When I switch out of the app and go back into it. I shouldn't have to go back to find my place. You should be saving my place! That's what cache is for! You're not grade school programmers! Come on! ONE STAR!

I've been using DealNews for years. I love the app. I know they've done all the price comparrisons for me so I'm confident in my purchases. They make it so you can automatically copy and paste any available promo codes. It's very convenient. My only complaint in the app is I wish you could customize what I see a bit more. My feed seems to be mostly men's fashion when it comes to clothing. I would rather see more women's clothing.

Wow the new look is different. But even worse than change that everyone hates at first glance is how bad functionality is now. Searches do not go away after "cleared", bookmarks must all be removed at once (no option to remove single bookmarked items), and the swipe features are all gone to dismiss managed items. On top of functions no longer working there is still no dark/night theme that a lot of folks have been requesting for months now.

I love a great deal and Dealnews makes it super easy to find the best deals on just about anything 365 days a year. The app isn't quite as good as the website but it still gets the job done. My main complaint with the app is that I can't check "expired deals" like I can on the website.

Great app for deals! I check my app all the time for great deals on all kinds of products! The best deals tend to sell out fast and be short lived but what do you expect! I've already bought more than a few products thanks to this app, and new deals are added throughout the day. I highly recommend this app to anyone who loves to save money on a huge variety of products!

I have found some really good deals. The only complaint is that after checking out a particular deal and you hit the back button the app takes you all the way back to the top of the list arbitrarily. You have re-scroll several times to get back to the most recent items you were viewing on the list.

Nice app, shows me deals that another "slick" app sometimes may not have. The only issue (if it can be called that!) is that I sometimes end up buying stuff I really don't need and wouldn't have gotten if not for this (these) apps! But a must-have if you're a bargain hunter and enjoy online shopping.

This app is everything! I really like how they do all the work for you and provide all the necessary coupon codes. The best part is the variety of items that appeal to most anyone. *No more searching though an app full of great deals on things you don't want, need and will never buy.* BoOm!

I have saved so much money with this app. If i need to purchase anything i always consult DealNews first. It's addictive. I get all of my Christmas shopping done way before Christmas even gets here. i have shared DealNews with a few friends but no one is as dedicated like me. I like to shop with my eyes wide open. Because of DealNews I dont have to pay full price for anything. Thank you for taking the time for developing the best money saving app that i have used for many years now.

Great experience, well thought-out app, and good deals. Thanks to everyone at DealNews. There's one problem though, when updating the app all the deals you save in the "my deals" section are lost. An email requesting assistance, on 4/25/19 (request #154223) hasn't been answered yet.

As the app has chaneged, over time, it has gotten less and less a time saver to use. I now find myself having to remember to go to a computer to use a full browser with the site if I want to do anything meaningful. Searching has not worked well and I have just given up.

unlike the desktop version, cannot choose the entire list according to category. have to go to search and often cannot see the category needed. Been using dealnews for years and found many worthwhile bargains using desktop.

overall very impressed with this app. simple layout, coupojln automatically clips for you leave the app, and deals are prettt accurate. probably the deals app out there. a little bit of everything for everyone.

I used to love dealnews until they recently updated the app. Gone are the former Editors Choice deals, which were very limited in number but useful and actually very good deals most of the time. Now they have replaced them with Staff Picks, which are plentiful but a bunch of useless, repetitive deals. For instance, in the last 12 hours they have listed one pair of shoes after another...it makes me think they're getting paid to promote Adidas, as they are certainly not deals that anyone would really care about unless they wanted to just see shoes. I don't want an app called Shoe Deals, as one person can only buy so many shoes! How about get back to the way you used to be and only show Editor's Choice deals when they're actually really good deals, and bring the interesting product variety back to your app. Sick of scrolling through multiple pairs of shoe deals just to find something that's not a shoe. Make Deal News Great Again, or else your app is gonna lose me and many other formerly loyal fans. Please revert ASAP!!!

5 stars until the last update. Now it is totally unusable! Descriptions are cut off & pictures of items are missing or so small you can't tell what they are. Also, can no longer swipe the items left to remove them from your list. PLEASE FIX and go back to 5 stars!

Push notifications are broken.

Great deals and alert system. I never feel like I am overburdened with notifications. Alert filters are very effective and I check deals a few times a week.

I tried to warm up to the new format and have generally gotten used to it. Main thing I noticed, is ever since the new format there are far less comments and user participation. Perhaps that was on purpose (sometimes comments were negative) but seeing the regulars' posts were often helpful and encouraged me to make more purchases. (last year I bought about two dozen things recommended by dealnews, so far not a thing this year.)

I look at Deal News at least 3x a day to see what's new and what's hot. I can't count the number of times I've found items I've been wanting or getting ready to purchase and found them here at substantial savings over what I thought I would be paying. For me, well worth the few minutes I spend looking every day when I think of all the cash I have been able to keep in my pocket.

Been using this website for almost 10 years. It has saved tons of money for my household. I also like the website not only for showing best deals on items, but also product re-calls and store closings.

I don't like the new version. It's confusing. As others have noted, the deal announcements seem to be more timely on the Slickdeals app.

I've used this amazing app for years, and have found too many great deals to count! App features, like receiving notice when matching deals happen, mean I don't miss out!

provides pretty good info for deal shopping. I have been.using this for a very long time along with other similar apps. what I like most about this is the "popular" and "staff picks" categorization. it lets you view the best deals quickly.
