What this app does: Organizes and plans out your debt. Tells you HOW long it will take to get out of debt with some basic monthly details. Up to SIX (6) debts supported and four (4) payoff strategies -
- not including the debt snowball method which can be turned on for each.
Also, just added:
Fixed payments.
Monthly payment reminders in your device status bar (requires the app permission "When reboot is finished")
Auto backup and restore!
Export monthly planner to .csv, file.

HOW TO USE THIS APP:
This app is designed for those who have a basic idea of what they need to pay this month. We will determine the rest based on your options. There is no option to tell us your budget.Rather than giving us a lump-sum payment amount, THE USER WILL DECIDE how much to pay in the first round of payments FOR EACH CARD. Not the minimums, but your actual planned payments. We will then take those numbers and make the needed adjustments as time goes on. In this way, you have greater flexibility to manage over your debt. You can play with the numbers to tweak your own plan.
NOTE: This app does not support bi-weekly payments (only monthly).

Debt Planner will provide you with a quick, simple way of calculating different aspects of your current debt including the time it will take to pay off, the total interest fees over the lifetime of the debt, your current APR fee, and more! Whether it is credit cards, auto loans, personal loans, you can calculate it. It will also factor in potential balance transfer fees and promotional rates as well!
Calculations in this app are very accurate. Remember, if you feed it bogus numbers, you might get a bogus answer! It can only contain so many built-in protections!
Disclaimer: Debt Planner will simply give an approximate amount of time (in months) that you will be debt-free. There are many real world factors that will put you at a different end-date. In order to meet the formulated date, you must try to pay as close to your specified monthly payment goal as possible.

Note: Simple Finance Manager (formerly Debt Planner Pro, $2.49 USD) is based off of Debt Planner but includes a Checkbook/Banking Ledger. It is also ad-free. You may backup your debts in Debt Planner before upgrading to the Pro and restoring (in Settings).

Can't figure out what it's trying to do...I wanted a snowball planner that I could enter payments into and it adjusted accordingly. This however doesn't seem to take the paid off payments and put it towards the next lowest debt. I also couldn't add card payments that I already paid off to the available funds. It almost looks like it just adds a little to the next bill instead to the full available amount. No good for me.
Excellent app that not only helps you budget but shows you the quickest way to pay off your debt. Calculated the actual amount saved and the date I'd pay off my debt by just making an extra payment occasionally and how adding $25 pymt to my cc pymt saves me hundreds more in interest. Gave me incentive to pay off my debt faster. Also love that I can export to Excel. Great tool that compliments Dave Ramsey's FPU and Budget Mom Goals. Upgraded and its soooo worth it! Thank you!!
I have tried several debt apps between excel and online and ios apps to android. I found this app to be by far the best app to motivate me to follow the plan month for month. This app is great cause it is hand held at your finger tips. Also I have been using it for many years. To be honest it has kept me me with android and has stopped me from going to an iphone cause the closest app is debts in ios devices. It takes some time to get familiar with app but once you do you will love this app
Took a while to get used to, but now it's my favorite app. I love that I can see how much of my money is lost to interest an the effect that additional payments have. I love this app and would recommend to anyone. I even paid for it, which I never do!!! I wish they made a monthly budget app! I'd get it instantly!
This app is very useful to manage debts and the new UI is good. The new login feature is very helpful because of which i don't have to backup and restore my data manually and i can switch between devices very easily.
Very good app I just had paid one and it's plain and no any options. This on is free and it does what It mean to do..reducing interest on monthly bases by adding payments from other accounts to the higher rate.. Very impressed thank you
Downloaded and after entering a few items there were glitches with words overriding other words, amounts, etc. making areas of the app illegible. I uninstalled as it is not worth the time to contact IT.
Love the new update..the app is more lively and I can save my data with a login! I have been using the app for a while now and I must say it has helped me plan my money wisely. Thank you developer! :)

It's a great app but i can only edit my debt i cannot delete it.
You ave to upgrade if you have more than 6 debts! I'd rather go back to pen and paper!!

Promising app to suit my needs. I just upgraded to the Pro version and it's confirmed. However, the app doesnt seem to reflect that. What should I do?

Can't seem to be able to remove the adds, can't find the in-app purchase.
This app is great! I especially love seeing the month over month amortization! Plenty of options. It keeps me motivated! So far I have paid off half of my debts in a few months of using this app. I do however find one problem with it, the reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5. The payments seem to randomly jump up after all debts have been snowballed already. If you could explain why I may be able to change it to a 5 star rating out of misunderstanding. Thanks so much!
