deciBel Pro is the result of a serious effort to make an Android based SPL meter as close to a professional-grade device as the phone hardware limitations allow.
It uses a Fast Fourier Transform algorithm to implement high precision A, B, C and Z weighting filters and sophisticated digital signal processing techniques to achieve the best possible SPL readings out of your Android phone or tablet.
It displays the current, maximum and minimum values in decibels, and generates 3 kinds of sound pressure level versus time charts. The display can be turned upside down to allow pointing the mic at the sound source.

After calibrating the accuracy is quite good. Whish it could record over long time and save to CSV. Also landscape mode would be nice.

Great tool, though the kids maxed it out at 99.9.! Though cant find the calibration menu.?? Will have to test it against my audiologist prof sound meter

Accurate and well designed. Visualization great!
The app is basically excellent, however, it has one major flaw that if corrected I would award 5 stars. You can tap the screen and take a screenshot of the sound curve. However, the shot taken cuts off the top part that shows the min, max and current dBA which makes the saved screenshot totally useless as it has no reference values. Just a red wiggly line of no use to anyone! If the sound level information was saved with the screenshot it would completely upgrade the app. Please, please do this urgently.
