How to play "NORMAL" mode:
- The large upper panel shows a sequence of symbols that change over time
- The lower panel contains different sequences and the arrows show the direction of the sequence.
- When a sequence in the top panel matches a sequence in the bottom panel, press the screen and the arrow that marks the sequence disappears.
- Eliminate all the arrows to pass level
How to play "HIDDEN" mode:
- Same logic as in "NORMAL" mode but one of the symbols in the lower panel is hidden. (the hidden symbol varies over time)
How to play "NO HELP" mode:
- Same logic as in "NORMAL" mode but the arrows indicating the sequences are hidden
How to play "TIME UP" mode:
- You only have 300 seconds to complete the level
How to play "NO ERROR mode:
- You lose if you make more than 3 mistakes in one of the level panels

The updates have addressed most concerns I see, the directions are very clear. The recent update added levels and made the design prettier. The official decoder is only available on iPhone, so I'm really happy to have this as the study performed on this app was quite impressive. I've been changing other aspects of my life to improve my attention, but I do feel this game has improved my ability to filter distractions and keep focused while reading scientific articles.
Prior to using this game/ app, I felt that I had a hard time focusing and retaining new information. It only took a week of playing about 5 minutes a morning along with 5-10 minutes of meditation for me to notice that new information was being retained quicker, it was easier to focus my attention, and "the fog" in my mind was lifting.
Hello, I'm using Nox Emulator, and it seems like I can't change the block colors to a color that is different from the background color. Why is this? Otherwise, very nice, would have given 5 stars if not for this error. Also, the "symbols" don't show up.
It needs instructions and advice and its wrong to assume, for the developers sake, that players will benefit from not knowing what they're supposed to on the basis that working it out for themselves is part of the decoding process. That seems lazy and arrogant if youre trying to promote a healthy brain....but having slagged it off i give 5 stars as its difficult and definitely requires concentration. Thanks.

Decent copy of the app from the real study. But those ads ruined all. This game deserves a paid version.
it doesnt tell you how to play. Plus its extremely non responsive when clicking.
Awesome though more elaborate illustrations needed for certain categories.
I have no idea how to play the last section. Needs better instructions.

I was excited about this app having read about it in the i newspaper, but have to agree with the other reviewer that there are no instructions visible neither on the home screen not when you choose a game and start playing. Just a lot of rapid fire beeping and changing images with a lot of red on the screen - way too stressful to hang around and try to figure out.
