I love this app. I appreciate the descriptions for each of the encryption methods, but there's one glaring issue in one of the codes. The Morse code decrypt/encryptor doesnt recognize punctuation, such as " . " (period) and " , " (comma). This the only issue I've found, but it's a very large problem as yhe decryptor won't translate any of it if there is a single "error" or unknown character. But with the issue aside, it's still an amazing app.
Tried this one and immediately went back and bought the pro version. Not sure this has a practical use for me, but it is easy to operate and seems to work as designed, and I recommend it if you are or ever were into codes as a hobby. Also, seems like it could have real-world uses if you wanted - don't want to give the impression that it's just a toy.
It is a bit of a niche app, however, it is the most comprehencible encryption/decryption app I have ever used or seen. I love it. It gives a brief history on various cyphers, the difficulty of solving them, along with a wikipedia link for more information.
Very helpful so far...still trying to work out all of the options, applications and settings ( of which there are many, which in this case is obviously a good thing.) I'm not the most tech savvy person so it'd probably be much easier and quicker for most. I would give it a 5 star rating except I'm not a big fan of 'in app purchases '. But generally speaking this is a useful tool, keep up the good work guys.
I give all apps I install a good chance at integrating with my phone and current software. Debug reports are important to all software users in development and this app hasn't had any other issues with my software and seemed to do what was expected of it..... but it used background data like a hog. Why is it the apps I like are always using as much data as they can in the background? Simple interface though
I love all the encryption methods, but when I go to decrypt a message with unknown code, I could type a blatantly obvious binary code, and it will say it is not binary at all. A bit inaccurate there, but overall its alright
Great app, goes above and beyond by not just encrypting and cyphering text and files, but also explains how they work, and provides resources like a vinegere table. All this and ive only ever seen one add, and it was opt in.
one of the coolest apps ever! not only is it super useful to encrypt, or perhaps try to decrypt a message that has an unknown encryption method, but this app gives you a basic background on just about all the encryption methods, codes, and ciphers from AES to the Caesar Cipher and even Morse Code!
RSA encryption and decryption works. But, to me, AES decryption doesn't work even after copy and pasting the same key and IV (Intialization vector). I tried it several times.
How the hell is it used? Assume someone, like me, created a secure file ten years ago. I can't remember my password and your app is trying to decrypt the entire thing instead of just the password. You don't have a tutorial, how to or even a tip option.
It was a great app. I had used it on my tablet for 3 years now. No bug or glitch was ever found by me. Just that the controls are a bit unclear in a way, thats the only flaw i saw.
Awesome app. I've only tested a hand full of encrypted codes through google search and so far they've worked. Having a blast texting with so many encrypted codes to guess decrypt with friends.
I have just started to utilize this app and it has given me a great well of new found info.. Those that I have been meaning to look learn. Thanks for this app.. I am still learning in baby steps and having this app had given me a much needed boost.
File decrypt is not working please fix it. When ever I upload a file of same encrypted method like hexadecimal code then try to decrypt it this pop up comes invalid characters. Message encrypt, decrypt, file encrypt is working fine
Does the job exactly as it describes. It's also really fun to send encrypted texts to your friends as well.
This is helpful for anyone who is remotely interested in encryption. I never write reviews, so take my endorsement as a guarantee.
Works well, but should be updated on a regular basis. Abandoned? What happened to the updates? It's been years since this wonderful app was updated.
i alway give a app every chance to show how much i would or wouldnt love it is totely depinging on how much it will or will not work for what it is neaded to pervide and how perfect or inperfect it may be its getting the 5* and after i try to se or in this care what i may not see will deturnin the keeping or uninstalling and moving on
The most incredible app I have every use for the cryptography work .. wow I am soo happy from the variety of types of encrypts you given here by ... Seriously this is sooo helpful for me to send someone something secretly .!
The unknown code tab could really use some word recognition. It clearly has it judging by the anagram function. It just needs it for decryption
Using it to decipher all the gravity falls episodes , its the best show ever on disney, full of mystery , Decrypto is the best app ever to decrypt or encrypt anything
very fun to use and send encrypted messages to friends :)
Loved it. It has many different ciphers to kind of play FBI or CIA or something like that I can't wait to actually communicate with it OMG.
It doesn't tell me what was the letters for or what the number were. Way to much of nothing from the time already have into it. ..it doesn't help me at all. I haven't found what one word is or one letter is. There has to be a better decrypt app than this one
The app is great, my one problem it's that the Vigenere table that is included has a BCD in place of VWX in the Z column.
I really worked with this app, it is not a friendly app, I finally uninstalled it. Tryed another and it was easy and worked...
Seriously a Great Help has helped me with a few codes & it's fast & easy to use! - El Savage Fox 🦊
Amazing app and it has so many codes, it is just a masterpiece
It is good at what it does. There are some issues I have with it though: in a modern world, none of these even come close to what we would consider encryption, and many of them are not even 'secret codes'. Take ASCII, for example. It is simply a way of storing text as binary digits - it is just for computers. Overall, I am disappointed not by the content but by the misinformation.
