Deep OBD for BMW and VAG

Man, can I give this 6 stars?? This incredible. I bought a scan tool from Jaycar (a shop here in Australia. I totally overpaid, but didn't have to wait for shipping) flashed it with an Arduino and now have access to very detailed info for my E87 N52. Data rate is super slow, but its K Line through a PIC. Still super usefull! I can't beleive I can get this with an hours work and no adds. Now to give the PT-CAN a sniff and see how the extra info is broadcast there! Danke Danke Danke Ulrich!!

Powerful but fiddly to set up. But free! It took me 3 attempts to find a Bluetooth scanner that would work with this unit. Got the free translation API working. Found loads of ECU's for my BMW E63 635d but the DDE was missing 😕 This is the most important unit (main engine control). Is there any way to add this manually? Or will it not work?

Very good app. Been using it for a while. Question - can it reset a service or inspection light? I could not find the function in the app. Suggestion - maybe you should improve on the configuration selection. Especially for those that have two different vehicles requiring you to have two configurations in the app. Im suggesting that the selection and change over of the configuration be made a bit more user friendly

If you are a data geek, this app is for you! Lots more BMW specific data available such as high voltage battery voltage and current, cell temperatures, and even motor torque on my i3. Works great with my Veepeak wifi OBD adapter. (I have found the wifi version to be more reliable than the bluetooth one on several different vehicles, plus you can still use your bluetooth connection for other things like taking or making a call while still connected to the adapter.)

Developer is clearly skilled but completely unkind to anyone who is not on his skill level. One star. Look at his reply. So check it out man, your app is entirely undocumented; translation integration is spotty AT BEST, it is entirely and wholly unintuitive and you need to consult with a UI expert because you ARE NOT one clearly. Third time was the charm two 3 hour 2.3gb of files installed then final over night install worked. Ugh. Consumes hours of ur life to make work. If that sounds like fun, then this is the app for you.

Absolutely superb app. Does exactly as stated. Just READ online guide thoroughly, then read again. This has potential to save you ££££'s. I managed to reset short circuit in dipped beam via footwell module 1st go. It's almost unbelievable it's FREE. Developer is a genius!!!! If I could score 6 out of 5, I'd give it 7!!!!

This app is good!! I connected using a Vgate bluetooth adapter it connected fine. but the home screen i did not get the tabs at the top like axis etc. It was blank. All the ECU's opened. The other things is, the language did not help. The Api did not work from yandex. I registered online copied the key and it said invalid or you not connected. Is there any way you have a guid on how to use this software? I want to learn diagnostics. Thanks

Brilliant app but needs 'sexying up'. Needs a GUI revamp, it's so old fashioned looking..

Great app. It's not very intuitive but the doc on the git helps a lot.

This is a massive app which takes too much room and a lot of setting up. With a bit of patience did manage to reset the airbag warning light on my BMW F36 but it wasnt easy. This tool is very powerful, much more so than other code readers, and would be great with a better UI but as it is its very hard work.

Best free OBD tool for BMWs. It took me a while to make my own configuration but after the set up, I was very impressed with how much information you can get. My only suggestion is to improve the refresh rate of data over Bluetooth. Excellent App however!!

Probably useful, but couldn't get it to talk to my VW on the proven working bluetooth dongle. Uninstalling as it takes up a LOT of space. The adapter I was trying to use it with is a generic ELM327 v1.5 Bluetooth unit that I've been using successfully with FORScan on various Ford for a while now. I can use it with Torque Pro to interrogate my VW's ECU, so I know the link between that and the dongles sound, but Deep OBD just refused to recognise that the Bluetooth dongle was a valid device to work with even after removing it from android and rescanning to find it again, plus restarting my phone.

So I have a 2008 BMW 335i, my problem is the MRS popped out of the blue, and just like the previous app (bimmer tool) this app didn't work either. I'm using a K+DCAN cable,and it was able to detect the problem, but it was not able to delete it, despite of several attempts.

Hi, thanks for the app! Would like to note things I liked in previous version. Now when I scan errors I get errors from all modules and they repeat each other. Before it was just errors. Can I disable that? Also, before you showed more details in errors for instance at what speed error occurred. Can I change that myself too? Thanks I reinstalled, works now!

I haven't used it as yet but the fact that developer invested so much of his energy and kept it free. He deserves 5 star. I would like to know if this app would work with OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth. I have tried connecting it to icar pro Bluetooth ans it doesn't work.

Fantastic app. I haven't learned how the app loads, organizes, and commits configurations and the Ediabas file list is a head-scratcher, but the power this app gives us is incredible.

Awesome tool! If you're looking for a simple code scanner this isn't for you; this is much more powerful than others but it doesn't hold your hand either.

Used it for the first time on my i3 and very impressed with the level of detail. Connected via OBD MX Bluetooth without problems. Any chance of unlocking more of the i3’s secrets? 😃

cannot connect to any adapter i try. The support matrix offered no help. All of the adapters I tried allegedly should work according to the help matrix. But it does not.

Excellent for reading settings. Is there any way to write settings? For example setting the cold watch (kaltueberwachung) on tail lights to false when converting to LED lamps?

This app is good but I have a question. I'm trying to code my E90 BMW instrument cluster to activate the digital speedometer but when I go into ECU KOMBI I can't find codierindex_lesen or (Read code index)? please help thanks

I can't belive that this exist ! I search for a tool like this from long time ago. I use tool32 a lot. Now will be much easyer to run from car to car :) . Great job ! ps. Can u add a search bar to ediadas tool/jobs ?

Awesome. Works perfectly on e88 135i with the n54 engine. The only app that reads boost properly.

If you know expert modecoding then you know how to use this app, I like it! And find it fast Handy to use on the go I think it's great to be honest keep it up mate

UI is really terrible, it is very hard to orient in the app check obd eleven.... it is possible to create toll for experts with nice ui... this is just excuse...

I cant register on yandex. The mobile number says message limit exceded, and the security images are never correct without a number, so this is very hard to understand german
