**edit: the next day it seemed resolved and was working normally** I was loving the app, i like the notifications for motion detection. However, just overnight it stopped sending me notifications for motion detection. I ran through all the troubleshooting tips and everything is set the way it should be. I even reinstalled the app. I do get the line crossing notification but not the motion notification anymore.

These were an upgrade and I can definitely see a difference in video quality. Had a few hiccups, I highly recommend if you are like me, re running the B&C cables that come with it. I thought the ones I had were fine, during the day they were fine, but at night they would just shut off. After trial and error found the older cables weren't enough for the more powerful night vision on these.

Great 4k system, app is easy to use. I just HATE that I can't fast forward in the app! Or I don't know how to. So annoying. Yes, I could do it via the dvr itself but not the app. I really wish they'd add this option. I live on a super busy street and get movement nearly every minute it seems. So going back to movement is not an option as I have thousands of movement a day. When I move to a new house, I won't be getting this 4k system as the defender I currently have installed here stays here.

Not user friendly. You cannot just download data without connecting a external drive then carry to a computer to look at it. If you use the storage device you can fast forward but not on the app on your phone. When I click on the camera most of the time it says it failed to connect so I constantly have to close and reopen the app on my phone to see what is going on outside.

it's a difficult app to set up, because it seemingly is missing a "Done" button in user-interfaces. for example, after capturing the device's QR label , the app page shows "share device" and "un-bind device" buttons only. what if none of those is desired? also, in wi-fi setup page, after asking for wi-fi name and password it just sits there. maybe advanced users can handle better.

Works well as far as a camera goes. Quality picture, even at night. Only problem is with the app. When I get an alert that motion detection has happened, the playback feature doesn't work. Most of the time it won't even load video. All I get is an error code. App is garbage

I've owned this camera system for over a year now and this app makes everything so much more convenient! Having the ability to open an app on my phone and see that everything's ok at home no matter where I am gives so much peace of mind. The people giving bad reviews I'm sure just don't know much about how to set it up, if you don't know how to configure your network for upnp and port forwarding then your firewall may block you from seeing your cameras remotely. Definitely recommend!

I was getting the message "failed to start playing" using the app. I changed the ethernet cable from my router to the defender unit and now it is connecting thru the android app with no issues.

Cannot connect to the app. Customer service is not helpful at all. Sent them the screenshot saying the app cannot connect to the network (even though everything else works properly and the app is set up) and all I get is 2 emails back with a request for a screenshot.

I am so over this app, 2 months bk and forth on chat and still won't work on tablet and/ or phones!, on network, or not. It loads 1/100 tries for just 1 sec... or just simply fails. Reinstalled with Yvonne and still! So really disappointed... if I could rate 0, I would! Please contact me directly to try and resolve, all info is on file. I waited to rate, but disgusted already.

A nice straight forward app that does what it should. Setting up for an Internet remote connection can be frustrating. Scan the QRCODE displayed on the DVR screen and ignore the one on the unit. That one on the unit is for registering your device.

I love this app. It was a breeze to setup and easy to use when we bought the Defender 4K system.. We got new phones and had some trouble setting them. Emailed Defender customer service and the had us up and running very quickly. Thanks!

Great App! Easy to use once you learn how to operate it. Customer service is awesome Yvonne M was awesome. Had me fixed in a few minutes. Love the picture quality, can record and snap pictures in the app. Overall love the system and the app works good with it. Defender 4K 1T wired.

it's awesome!! video is clear and in HD. night vision is in black and white while if the lights are on it's in color. no audio sound is the only downside. I recommend it.

Gives me the peace of mind I need when I can't physically be on site to watch my store in person NOTE: many purchase reviews stated that the camera cables aren't long enough; the system i purchased has plenty of length and I believe they hooked them up incorrectly. Check the manual to make sure you're hooking them up the right way.

I've had this system for over 2 years. I cannot count the amount of times it has paid for itself over and over. The app adds a level of convenience being away from home and being able to see if anything is going on at home. Hand down I would highly recommend!

App does not accept region, so cannot even get past first step of using it on my tablet. Should have got a different system i guess. On my phones it is great but apparently doesn't work on just any device.

Not happy at all with the app nor the product. Customer service only responds to emails. Specifically on windy days have had major problems from cameras going offline then coming back online after wind ceases. Done with Defender products!

everytime i go on event viewer after i tap on 3 events after that i just get a black screen and you can't fast forward on the app like you can on the dvr

I would give it zero starts it I could. App will not open, customer service is non-existant. They will only use email and chat to help you. They asked me to remove the app and restart my phone. Then they want a screen cast of me doing that. How do you screen cast a phone when it shuts down? No phone number to talk to someone. No help what so ever. Go with another company.

I've had problems with my cameras since last year. I haven't found a phone number on the website or any way to contact someone other than email. That being said my cameras still aren't working.

The wireless feed is very glitchy. It hesitates for a bit and requires you to reset the camera's every month.

After telling them for 2 months & leaving my home unsecured I finally broke down & bought a new camera & it is fixed now(no help to them) this company has an excuse department, a we don't care dept & their make it difficult to acquire a warranty repair/replacement dept. Is second to none. No they don't have a phone number because THEY DONT CARE! It's your problem, it's yours now! Warranty? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
