Cameras themselves are good. App works great when phone connected to wifi but as soon as it is on a cell network the app crashes if you try to use mic, siren or screenshot. This should be an easy fix! Edit: Working better when not on wifi now, still crashes on occasion though. Four stars.

Picture quality on Defender wireless cameras is great, app works too, the only thing missing is a Rewind and Fast Forward button for videos. You need to manually scroll through recorded footage and ot is very inconvenient.

The 2K cameras do produce a good Day/Night picture, with good capture/recall options. However, Defenders customer service uses bad business strategies, and unprofessional tactics. The warranty is totally useless. The first attempt was to sidestep thier warranty obligations, and after dozens of emails, and a lot of wasted time, producing supporting pictures etc, they finally came around; so I thought, the the process got to the point where it would have cost me 4 times the cost of a new camera.

I love defender guard cameras the app is simple to use however it's never fully functional there's always something that if you click on it it closes down the app for instance this time if I'm not connected to Wi-Fi for some reason and I try to go full screen while I'm doing my camera it closes down the app before it didn't matter what I was hooked up to if I tried to view the files I can look at the pictures but when I went to look at my videos that were stored it closed down

It took me a while to install the camera but it's no fault of defender, I am a fussy installer. Once I figured it out I had no issues installing the camera. The images are clear and the camera captures as much or as little as you want. The app is easy to use and this camera is better, in my opinion, then another well known brand which I also have installed. One aspect that would make this camera system better than all would be high speed playback.

Have had the same issue for months cannot load my camera feeds in portrait view when I am out and about and not on Wi-Fi it force closes the application. Samsung galaxy S21 And galaxy S22 ultra. And pixel 6 And note 10 all have same issue as of 4/5/22. Been like this for months since last software update. Rendering my cameras useless when I am not home because I can't view the feeds. I have submitted numerous support tickets and they never get back to me. Horrible

Installed 2 cameras wifi hook up work good had to install one camera with ethernet has a 1 min lag time showing live stream. No one at chat has any idea what im talking about. They just want to keep seeing how strong the signal is on the other cameras.

This last update ruined the application, now the landscape view force closes application. I did what defender recommended and it stop the issue for a short period and now issue started again, this only happened once I did the last recent update. PLEASE FIX THIS APPLICATION IT'S THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE TO CONNECT MY CAMERAS.

Good picture yet we get notifications for snow flurries, random drops of rain, deer... Frustrating. We have made all the adjustments -picture area, sensitivity-to no avail. 🤷 Notifications have become useless.

Lags, cannot connect to computer or TV Now with the updates there's not any storage space to actually view/save history. When history finally loads it takes a long time.

I love these cameras, and its great there is no subscription needed. Easy use through the App and with 16GB of storage, is enough to format every once in a while.

I regret purchasing these cameras. The quality of the pictures are fine but good luck getting any of the videos to actually play so they can be reviewed - 20 minutes can be easily spent trying to watch a person take two steps. Videos take forever to load, and not a single video plays smoothly or completely through the entire clip. The app is definitely not designed for ease of use. You have to click on the icons just to try and determine what they are. The operations are totally useless.

Better then the other wifi cameras I have bought. Only thing I don't like is there is no 2 way talk available. Like you can't communicate with someone at your door if your at work or somthing. That's lame. But otherwise good quality and easy to use.

Starting June 15th, my system no longer does real time notifications of motion detection. Things are recorded,but come in hours later on the app. I tried everyththing with customer service and even rebooted my cameras. My internet service has not changed. This leave me with thinking there is something wrong with the app. Frustrating. Was a reliable system for the past 4 months. Hope this is not phasing out so soon.

It appears everyone is having the same issue with notifications from the app. I think a new version of the software should be released. It used to work fine before the last update and do not see my kids coming home from school unless I manually check the images. I do not wish to contact customer service for something that used to work since nothing changed at my end other than the version of the app. Update: After reinstalling the app, the notifications work again.

The cameras themselves I'd give a 4.5 but the app needs work. I'd like to be able to delete unneeded video clips but there doesn't seem to be an option for that. Also I can't get any audio notification on 3 different android devices. I get the flag but can't get it to sound. I did get all 3 cameras to work on a Shaw dual band (2.4/5) router by setting up using a ethernet cable then unplugging! Too sensitive as well. Snow storm last night and triggered with every wind gust

My dad and I have spent over an hour combined just trying to connect the camera to the wi-fi with no luck. We are on the 2.4 rather than 5 as we know 5 is incompatible. Our 2.4 seems to also be incompatible. The app has walked us through the set up process seemingly flawlessly, we just cannot actually set it up. Frustrating.

I have 3 cameras, and will install 4th soon. I think the app is intuitive and comprehensive. It needs improvement in separating wanted and not-wanted motion alarms - but this problem is also not solved by more expensive systems. I could benefit from higher resolution cameras, but these are also much higher in cost.
