Definitions of Waqf and Ibtida '

WAQAF AND IBTIDA

We need to know terms related to
read the Koran and stop reading as follows

1. Iftitah اِفْتِتَاح is an opening in Al-Quran recitation which begins
by reading the basmalah traditions and then proceed by reading the verse.

2. The Waqf وَقَفْ is to stop the reading or sound for a moment at
end syllables to take breath with purpose
looseness continues reading in the next verse.

3. Ibtida اِبْتِدَاء is to start reading again after
waqaf from the beginning of the syllable in the next verse.
