This app provides up-to-date information regarding emergency management related issues such as emergency information, school closings, community shelter locations, mass notification system registration, special event information, local weather, weather alerts and much more. During emergencies and disasters this app will be used to relay emergency or disaster recovery related information to the public.
The mission of the DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency is to provide effective planning in an all-hazard approach and provide the citizens of DeKalb County with timely and accurate information before, during, and following disaster. It is also the mission of DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency to provide quality and complete pre-disaster education to the citizens of DeKalb County and to provide the very best training to the emergency responders who put their lives on the line when disasters strike.

By utilizing techniques of mitigation, community and citizen preparedness, response training, and recovery planning the DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency engage the hazards faced by the citizens of DeKalb County and take a proactive approach to managing the risk those hazards present. We challenge every citizen of DeKalb County to learn more about what hazards threaten your home, community, workplace, or anywhere you and your family may find yourself during and emergency or disaster. We also challenge each citizen to become active in your community disaster preparedness and planning.
