Denver Zoo
The new Denver Zoo mobile app is the best way to explore the Zoo without missing anything that’s important to you! This digital guide includes a GPS-enabled map so you can find your favorite exhibits with ease, as well as the locations of concessions and restrooms. Get day-of information on feedings and demonstrations, including special surprises from zookeepers that might not be listed on our daily events schedule. You can even sign up to get push notifications so you don’t miss a show! Learn interesting details specific to our individual animals, such as their names and ages, or even what their favorite snack is. It's a very helpful app. It's fun being able to pull up information on the animals- such as their names, it's also nice having a map (shows exhibits, rides, food service stands, and also shows where the next nearest bathroom is- very helpful for having little kids). It no longer has the feature where you can reserve tickets, which is a pain bc I have to access a computer now or uninstall app to make reservations. At least you can still access your tickets that you do have reserved through it.
The animal icons on the map do not scale. They are too big and cover up other parts of the map, like walkways, entrance, etc. In the era of COVID, the zoo does not provide paper maps. The map in the app is supposed to be a substitute, but a very poor substitute it is.
According to this app the Denver Zoo only has about 40 animals, because that's all it shows. After spending 17 minutes on hold to ask about the cassowary my kids were hoping to see, i was directed here to find the "most up-to-date" information about the animal. So like a rube, i ended the call and DL'd this app, only to find that almost none of the zoo's animals are actually listed. "Search" is no better. Bad experience from a zoo constantly getting rid of the animals that once made it great.
Installed and said it was for an older version of Android, last update for app shows it is almost s year and a half ago. Also, it doesn't have all of the animals and neither does the website. The website used to have all animals, including all the different kinds of fish, but now you can't find them on the app or the website, very disappointed since we plan our trips around specific animals and not always the most popular ones or most well known ones that are highlighted on the app.
Very Useful I've used this app several times when visiting the zoo. It's really helpful to easily follow a specific route and keep my children interested in what's coming up next. After COVID: the zoo has updated the app very well to follow the new one way route now in place. It was very helpful.
Disappointing. I already have an account set up, but the app won't recognize my username and password. Enter my info and it just deletes everything after I click the login button. Developer needs to work on the comparability issues.
My issue is the map lacks a "you are here" function, yet I had to allow GPS access. A "you are here" function would have made the map so value added. If by chance it had one, then the UI is poor.
It does not allow you to create a new account. Useless. The response by Vantix is not that my phone displays. Obviously I went to my account section and clicked on the create account link- it does not work.
I had a bit of trouble logging in at first. I had updated my password to only include numbers and letters and was surprised it actually worked. I only use this app for the digital membership card.
Add the menus of all of the concession areas instead of saying the full menu is availableafter 11 & add the beer tap carts around the park and what they're offering, this way we're not hunting for a zooski that may only be at 1 stand.
Very limited functionality. should be able to search all the zoo animals and be told their location, instead of less than 2 dozen animals.
Always a great time at the zoo. Love this place would highly recommend to anybody go to the zoo check out the grizzly bear it's awesome. Always clean in a fun place to be
last time I was in the zoo the app was still running and it is a big help . works as described of course they did have any of the closed sites marked. . . would have helped.
Visiting Denver? Holiday lights the BEST! I don't have kids but love it. Better than Botanical lights. Many behind the scenes tours. Lots of space for wheelchairs.
The membership online ticket reserve takes you to the app but there is no way to get to the ticket reserve. Absolutely useless this summer. Cant pull up reserved tickets and cant reserve tickets. Cant pull up your number to show you are a member
I was excited about this app. But it keeps telling me it is for older phones. Seriously, if you're going to advertise the technology, update it.
App would be much more helpful if it contained basic information, like the hours the zoo is open.
Love the app ! Wish you could zoom in closer on the map portion.
It was perfect it helped me alot. Me and my friends wanted to go eat and the map took us there!

Pretty limited but what it does do our useful. I'm not a member of the zoo, but my bff is. It may be more useful if I was a member.
I downloaded the app and it doesn't even give me the option to create an account, so how are you supposed to create an account.

Generally, it's good. My issue is the map. The icons overlap and the text isn't visible, so using it to navigate becomes nearly impossible.
