DERE EXE: The AppSir Prequel
DERE EXE is a thriller disguised as a 2d side-scrolling pixel platformer rage game with retro visuals,16-bit chiptune music, and a surreal horror story that makes it a creepypasta come to life. The controls and the environments change from level to level. From controls with pixel precision and intuitiveness in one level, to a creepy glitched debauchery in the next. Will you survive the fear and rage or will she make her escape?

Really great game! My biggest gripe was that the 'move right' button was too far left. The left and right buttons were too close together, so I had to reposition my hands in a somewhat uncomfortable way. Even then, often when I tried to press the left button, the right button would be triggered instead. I really wish there were secrets/Easter eggs for going off the beaten path, platforming to hard-to-reach places, or for getting to the end of a level while avoiding the obvious switch.
It's really hard, really fun challenge. But the end though... dang... hit like a truck... amazing game though. Really well thought out story. Really sad ending though ngl. There are a decent amount of ads though. Kinda messes with your flow of figuring things out and timings of jumps.
I love the game so far its pretty fun to play, the levels are hard plus mechanics is okay it's a little bit stressful for a game, but you can yous to it. and also it brings you back to retro style of gaming nostalgia. I miss does days.
The game is definitely well designed and challenging but the ending is the exact same as the very first game. If this is meant to be a continuation from the second game then im very confused
Was a decent platform game, but I will say that by the end of it I was more relieved to finish it than anything else, that last level took the shine off an otherwise fun experience by outstaying its welcome.
Well done! Playing this some months ago, I was kinda frustrated with level four (tbh didn't know what to do to finish it, in fact I didn't). Since then, a lot of things were implemented. IMO the ending was a little predictable, but the game is challenging (mostly because of controls, I bet it's on purpose) and the idea/story behind it is simple but creative. Plus, some jumpscares were unexpected. Definitely gonna play the sequel!
Absolutely fantastic!! If I wasnt busy with life all the time, the ending would have made me cry. Wonderful story! What a twist ending!! The use of 8-bit style design mixed with a few hi-res pieces is very visually appealing. The jumpscares were perfect! Scared me every time.
Well the story is something i would dream and have water from the eyes rolling down when i wake up. The game itself is very good. But the wierd part is the back button. Plus the fact that there is no exit button and it returns u to the level is a bit wierder. But id gladly take it as a feature.
THIS. THIS IS GOOD MY GOD! I've checked this game out after dere evil.exe and i'm soo glad i did, the twists! And the jumpscares! Everything is very well made, can't wait for other games made by you all!
This game is great.Wonderful visuals, great effects, and beautiful strorytelling. i do have one complaint- like other reviews i speak of the difficulty. (this review is made without a full playthrough) In the "i made some modifications" there is the portal jump- spike block- followed by demons on very small platforms. I-i can't get over them.. and i do want to finish this game.You would think if Kara wanted to be free so much she would make her changes easy so make her escape would be faster..
Very well done. It had a nice immersive experience with well designed levels. The issue I have with the ads is that they completely remove the immersion. I think it would have been better to make the game cost money on Google Play from the getgo.
Just beautiful and its difficulty was proper for a retro game , everything was nice , specially the soundtracks and jump scares; I loved this game , and the funny part of all this, I thought this game might've been a troll, luckily it end up being a pretty good game overall , Thanks, I reallly enjoyed your game.
Great, and the warning was right too. Not for people who are easuily frustrated with these type of games. At least lower the difficulty spike when encountering those entities, or better yet, add a checkpoint, because it really gets frustrating from there.
Ive enjoyed your ganes very much and looking forward to the third one coming out. IDK if its just me but the sawblade after the 'set me free' sign is nearly impossible to juke with the controls/movement. I cant create the same micro movements as in the PC version. If you can make this part easier then this game would be golden. Thank you for the wonderful game. Please develop more!
This was an amazing game! A little too short though, I installed it about a half hour ago and beat it already, but it was quite challenging! And I love that you changed all of the levels, almost nothing is the same as the first one, except for a bit of the platforming in the final level, loved it!
I loved the before update version (that was challenging, but I have my love for it) and this version. I LOVE IT TOOO!! it was challenging a bit, but not has hard as Dere Evil.Exe or Hopbound. The story is still the same but with some minor changes. Even the scenarios suffered some changes (new ones, remodeling of how they look etc) What I can say? If you liked and loved the version before the update, then you will like and love this new version too (also Kara is cute and she did nothing wrong)
There is WAY to many ads, it's like every other time you die, and when you go to pause it, there's an ad. I think this game has good potential and it's a fun game, I'd like to give it more stars, but like I said before, there's just to many ads.
Great game .... Played all the other games by this developer (expect the primium one) all games are great . Definately titles that you won't wanna miss
SPOILER ALERT > i actually prefer this to the main game purely because it builds up more tension as the game goes on. the jumpscare on level 2 was one of the best i've ever experienced and that particular part was so well thought out. I really didn't expect a jumpscare at that point!
Well, so I just finished playing the game yesternight and I gotta say - I liked it much more than the previous ver. The 2nd Kara jumpscare got me good and 2 levels mimicking level 3 of previous ver and dere alpha respectively brought back memories. I still wonder who that mysterious character was. F. Overall, it was an excellent experience and easier than the previous ver and it also explains why Yanna hated the Dev. so much. So, I increase my stars from 4 to 5. Pls keep up the good work ^^
This game is great! I like the other one more for it's story, but it's also more difficult. So yeah. Very rewarding and very well made! There are so many reviews like "this is too hard!" but it warns you before the game that this not for people who get frustrated with tricky platformers! That said, this is an excellent game if you want a challenge with a story. (I also would like to recommend playing this with a friend! It's fun to react to together and you can switch when you get frustrated.)
