Previous versions of this app would have had a higher rating. I have to give it less because the most recent update has broken the functionality of fingerprint access. I was getting a similar error when I tried to open the app. Null value or whatnot. Pressing the return to home button which would normally allow me to use my password to access the app would cause a crash. Trying to be helpful, I reinstalled the app and logged back in. Now the fingerprint option is totally gone. Nice.
This app is an absolute disaster making it impossible to make a payment. Some kind of workaround required for every single step until you hit a wall and get sent back to the login screen no matter what you do. Impossible to select full balance instead of statement balance. Requires Plaid login but sends you back to the beginning before initiating a payment when you attempt to login. Then requires confirmation call/text with bank but sends you back when you try to check it to get the code.
I have been unable to get past the login screen for the past 45 days. The login button is simply disabled. My device is OnePlus 7T. I have tried re-installing the app several times but the issue still persists. It is really frustrating for me to use the mobile website on my phone instead of the app. Please look into this.
Using on OnePlus 7 Pro and splash screen with deserve logo is horribly squished when launching the app - not sure why that is happening. Please fix Also don't know why there is a separate blue screen for fingerprint login. Just use the API for the one built into android. It would look a lot sleeker! If you would like me to email examples of what I'm a referencing - let me know! I will update my rating once issues are fixed.
Always this app sucks. With every update they fix one issue and start another issue. Previously fingerprint scanner is not working, now the login page itself is not working. I have even verified that the username and password I entered is correct by checking the same on browser. Also, login button itself doesn't get activated after entering details.
I just got approved for the Digital-First Card, I click on the Continue button and it takes me to a page saying download the app to verify my identity. I download the app and proceed to CREATE my user credentials, and I keep getting a "information provided is not what Deserve has on record" message. I'm 100% sure my info is correct. Can't get past the create account step to proceed with verifying my identity.
The worst app ever. I had never missed a payment of any credit cards. I made a payment on the app and for weeks the app is not accessible. And all of a sudden when it goes on to allow me to login, it has a late fee of $25 posted. The hell doesn't end there. Customer service, the worst. I own 4 credit cards, the customer service has been phenomenal from all except deserve. I told their app sucks n they told me that "this kind of behavior is unacceptable" n "keep it professional". Never using ever.
The service and the app, both more useless than each other. I mean for a credit card service, being unable to use the mobile app is unexpected. What's more unexpected is that they still haven't found time to give a s**t about it. Way to go. Continue being so useless, you might just make it as the Number 1 credit card service in the U.S.
I just upgraded to the new Samsung s20 and this app doesn't work. The loading indicator just spins forever. They haven't updated the app in a year, so I can only guess it's just not compatible with a newer phone.
This is literally the slowest Android app I have ever used. Horribly optimized and most the time won't even load. I have a Galaxy Note 9 by the way Update: Still will never open, just loads endlessly. Very Disappointing.
Doesn't let me pay my card bill even after verification and a saved bank account... features lag behind the iOS version - which doesn't make sense given that its targetted towards international students. Definitely useful to get instant alerts for your transactions
I had a great experience with deserve. I am student and didn't had ssn for 2 years but was using their credit card. Now when i got ssn my credit history was taken into account of 2 years and got my chase credit card on this basis. The service's were also good during this 2 years.
I understand when a financial institute accepts or declines applications based on many different reasons like credit score or account balance. However, in my case with deserve, my application was declined with the following reason provided 'Ineligible Institution'! As a graduate student at USC which is one of the largest and well known schools in the country, I don't know which institute is being accepted by this company.
What more can you ask for...especially if you are looking for your first credit card. This is a digital first card that gives you control and visibility into your spending unlike any of the other four credit cards I have. Very impressive.
very lousy ap. Cant get my pin to make payments easily without it logging me out of program. CURIOUS NOW if deserve is a scam. Tried other ways to set up payment. Ap not taking it. I was going to refer many student to the card. Now I regret applying for it. Finally was able to place my payment info in the app, it is not letting me to process payments...Got to do one of the old fashioned and slow ways. Customer service is only open Monday to Saturday not even full days.
Everything was pretty good. But I've been trying to deactivate my account and take it out of the system. I had to contact them about 3 to 4 times, but the keep saying it will happen and after a while I find out it never happened.
In a desperate need of an update, use the Mobile and desktop version of the app instead, way more control over application features and it doesn't crash when you select your bank.
App hasn't received an update in over a year. Won't let me log in anymore. I have to log in online, which is fine, except then what's the point of the app?
After the latest update, I can no longer login to my app. For biometric authentication, it gives a error, c null is not void.... Etc. Can you fix it please? Update: after reinstalling the app, the biometric authentication is gone. It now asks for a PIN. But I am able to login
Can't log in even after getting access on website. I contact their support team and they said they only support IOS and android device. Ridiculous! I had even sent my screen shot of my android 9.1 settings to them.
pros: has been a useful app for tracking charges and making payments. cons: they lump all notifications into 'Miscellaneous', meaning if i want to be notified of charges i also must allow stupid marketing push notifications. uninstalling after getting a push notification suggesting I refer more friends to the service.
I am having a really tough time to Login into the App. The Log In button is Disabled even after I enter Username and Password and I am not able to click on it. Please fix it. I am using Samsung Note 20 Ultra.
It's a great app. Very convenient to use, to check activity and to make payments. The best part about the app is that it gives notifications for all transactions and payments.
I am trying to do online payment through app but that wasn't working I tried everything. I guess you need a lot of improvement in your application.
Awesome credit card, doing wonders to international students who are yet to get their SSN. Lastly its extremely easy to link your SSN to their credit card once you get it. You can also check your credit score.
Worst credit card ever. I have been using this card since 2017. No late payments and my credit score is 700+. Guess my credit limit, Its $300.00. 😅😅 Go with Discover. After 3 years you will get atleast $8000 credit limit.
Great credit card for students and young adults with no credit. This app allows me to responsibly manage my credit balance and spending every month.
The app is not showing anything. It's keeping on blinking/ loading forever. I don't know how much credit I have or what's my balance till to day. Useless app. Useless card.
After update the fingerprint is not working. I reinstalled the app and now the login button is not functioning. Can you guys please fix it.
I have been using this app and the credit card for almost half a year. It's easy to use; the credit score panel is interesting and useful some times. Recently, the App went through an issue, but it was solved quickly. The customer service is good and effective in my experience. A great experience so far. Great credit card to build your credit score!
