Designer City: Space Edition is a futuristic space-themed city building game. In this space-based town building game you must design, build and manage a self-sustaining city on a remote and desolate planet. Now with full terraforming features!
DESIGN AND BUILD A SPACE CITY
To successfully build a town, in this space city builder, you will need to attract residents to the planet by building accommodation for them to live in. They will need somewhere to work so you will also develop commerce and businesses to provide them with employment.
Unlike Earth, there isnβt a ready supply of resources. So in this build a town game you will be responsible for providing power, water and oxygen for your citizens, farming for food and mining for resources.
It is not all about work though as that will make your population unhappy. Provide them with city services, leisure and community buildings, parks and decorations to keep your new residents happy and content in their new city. Add skyline reaching towers to define your city skyline.
Happy sims in your city will work harder and create more income for you to spend building and improving your city skyline. Manage transport networks to keep your citizens moving and build spaceports to increase industry, travel and income for your city.

I've been playing this for about 2 years and I still love it. (Check out my city, its Avalayn.) It's a good game, some minor bugs but nothing that hinders building or progression. Please fix the bridges, they won't form correctly over water that's one square wide and you get sidewalks instead of a bridge when you upgrade that section.
I'm giving it a 4.5 because there are some things that could be improved but over all this game is great! it's one of the only games I can play in free time without worrying about leveling up fast to compete with other players or constant ads popping up to pay for "better game experience" you get gold constantly and it's a strategy of how you use it. and the layout of life like city planning is what keeps it interesting thanks space city! π
This game, like the other Designer city games, is very enjoyable. Love the colors that this versian provides. Can spend hours playing. However, about 75% of the game cost gold. This makes the game boring very quickly when you dont want to buy the gold. Right now im stuck because all the essential things ( water, power, trash) cost gold, and I cant keep building with out these things.
I would have given this game 5 stars except through a glitch in lost my gold (like $600) and my building won't produce money anymore, it says they will be ready in an 69 hours and 20 mins or some other high number like that the time varies by building. Up until this point I like the game and would have recommended it to friends. I won't now no point in wasting time on a game that freezes and you lose hard earned gold.
Very enjoyable and peaceful city building game, looks great and is accessible, with simple user interface and excellent in-game guide. After a week or so of play, I noticed that non-premium items eventually require gold, received for completing challenges or with real money via microtransactions, for making purchases. There are no ads, and I understand that devs have to make a profit somehow, but not notifying players of this from the start lacks transparency and I won't be playing further.
I thought the game was ok but since the last update it keeps loosing my progress, first it set me back to level 1, thankfully without deleting my city but I couldn't even copy buildings I owned. Then I was patent and just waiting to level up but it keeps loosing my level, it's crazy that I can't get past the 80s. Will you please fix your system as it's not working properly.
It is designed to be more advantageous to buy buildings with gold because of the free upgrades. Money is easy to make but upgrades cost into the tens, even hundreds of millions of dollars. For the very casual, patient player, this can be played without buying gold. I wish they had a broader color pallet. Everything is blue and yellow. It is clunky to replicate multiple copies of the same item. It has to be done one by one. Overall, it's not bad but not great.
Much better than DC 1 AND 2 ,to build a colony and watch fighters land on runways is never old. Yeah i gripped about the gold charges, BUT THAT WAS BEFORE I REALISED THAT AT LEVEL 100 YOU CAN CHANGE MONEY FOR GOLD!. COLOUR ME IMPRESSED!. Yes i did spend i think about 100 dollars ln this game,BUT that was because the cloud save link up between devices ( i have it on about 6 devices) works well,EXCEPT ON SATURDAYS AU TIME, for some bizzare reason the map saved from the previous night is downloaded an older save,NOT as the last one i played. Weird as i noticed it about 6 weeks ago and , sure enough every Saturday the save is screwy,no big deal. I do recommend this game over their other two which are,frankly lack lustre and generic,but this one shines DEVS,you Are entitled to the money i spent. By the way since mine is a space colony basically 100 years after the initial ships founded the planet,it would be nice for more military options,as i have fighter bases already. Missile silos,launchers etc. Anyway i do recommend this Game,just be patient with it. Best way to play?build like crazy for the first 10 levels,then drop in to the game every 3-5 hours,collect the money and do something else. Wait till you reach level 100,then your gold problems wont be such an issue. My worlds PANDORA PRIME,still unfinished though.
I love the style and freedom the game gives, it's free to create whatever kind of city you like and their is an incredible number of buildings. However it is a little too easy and some challenge would be nice like, little scenarios like weather that really makes progress a bit slow and if we have a planet to ourselves if we unlock space technology how about the beginning to build space station like coke cities or even a space elevator just add more challenge but they are ideas no issues
It is a real fantastic game,once you start playing you will never leave it.Nice graphic,well balanced and great story ! the same goes on Designer City ! Great game but needs work It's great to build but unemployment and too many jobs goes up and down too fast. Also it requires metal to build things but no way to know how much metal you have. Like how the heck can I build something if I don't know if I have the materials. If there is a way to see it, it's not straight forward. It's great game but it's gone on hold because I can't build anything anymore. So give a materials tracker.
Initially I didn't care for the difference in graphics but after giving the game more time I'm loving it. So many beautiful plants. Seems the spaceship has become hard to use. You try to tap it and it keeps going to other pages. Bummer. Needs more special buildings.
This game is a shadow compared to Empire city. The design and the restrictions to how you can build the city is ugly and limited. Roads are a great example of half effort from the creators, you can't double them up and have them meet with an intersection. Pathways are set back from the roads and don't blend in with the city design and the ugly list goes on, even the colour is poorly matched. Go back to the drawing board on this poorly made game. Play Empire city instead.
I really enjoy playing this game, for me it's a excellent stress relief.I really like the control of being able to put your buildings wherever you want and also move them when necessary. The graphics are amazingly beautiful, I also have the regular designer city,and designer city 2.Once again thank you π.
Too many things to like about the game to list. Would be super cool if we lived in a society where it would be possible to comment on each others cities without it causing problems. I apreaceate critisizm. If im doing something out of pocket,please tell me. I would love to tell that guy or girl that there city was badass, cause it was
Love it! π I just wanna know, why after the update, whenever i edit the road, it'll be circles, not a road. Whenever when there is a vehicle that must pass the road, the vehicle is vanish. I don't know if it's an error or if there's still more progress I need to do to make to complete the path. Please tell me about this problem. Thank you.
Has been a great game for many months, with 5 stars the whole time. But now for some reason when I collect my money it's not on there the next time I sign in. UPDATE was having issues I emailed them and they emailed be back very promptly. I wasnt saving it before I exited so it was my fault. Changed to a 5 star love the game
Kind of slow going, at first, but once you start growing it gets fun very quickly... Pretty standard City builder with a cool concept... Experiencing problems at level 26.... Hit detection is shaky... Time management is getting poor... Needs attention, guys... Okay, this is getting bad.... Level 32 and the key-touch is completely out of hand.... Still fun, but reloading every minute-and-a-half is making it not fun.... Please fix this, devs....
Hey folks! Me agian. Is it possible to release a connectivity update? I have two high power gaming phones, but even they are having trouble processing the amount of stuff on the screen at times, i love Space City, i dont want to delete this game over some minor issues like processing power.
I enjoy the Designer city games. I decided to try the space version. For the most part i enjoy it however, ive tried to buy the monorail. I get the message that i don't have enough space. Ive bought more space. And i still continue getting the same message. Is there a way to fix this?
Great retro feel and amazing dynamic growth. Alongside occupying my time longer than the more 'popularity driven' city simulators out there. Plus, gameplay over graphics any day, and yet I still sit and admire the attention to detail. Thank you for bringing this series out, as any developer like you deserves the great attention.
Compared to Empire City, SC is more of a challenge/ less casual (not in a bad way tho). Theres for sure features in this one that would be great shared in EC. Different but cool theme for city building. Havent figured out the purpose of the raw materials yet ( ie metal, etc.), but I'm sure I'll get to figuring it out. Gets alil laggy when zoomed in but may be my phones a wimp lol.
Fun for a while but eventually buildings start costing gold. You can jump through hoops to get free gold but that just doesn't scale if you plan on filling up the map ------ Response to developer: Not sure why you claim there are "quite a few" gold generating buildings. You've only put 1 in the game.
Please fix!!!! I love your games! However on this one...the amount of trash collection vs population is OVER THE TOP. It seems so uneven. I have 11 (with half at max)and others at level 3 PLUS like 5 or 6 small trash collections for ONLY est 11,000 in population. THAT SEEMS WAY TO MUCH..and I keep getting suggestions that I have low trash collection and to add more. IT'S A BIT TOO UN EVEN. Please fix!!! Thank you!
I love this game but I would like to see more options and better graphics. Maybe some alien type domes and alien lifeforms. Over and under pass roads and also hills or minds would be fun to build.
I love this game but, there is one thing.I spent over 5 million on the roads,paths and mononrails and their upgrades, then i don't play for one week and when i finally do, there is been an upgrade and the these items were for free.Not only those but the deforming n forming of land, land colour adding and taking away water and water colour.Do i get a refund???It would also be good if you could add trains, bridges, under passes and subways.Could you also add terrain.Like snow or desert etc.Thanks!
YAYYY!!! This is just about the closest thing that l want in my game - peaceful and relaxing, build and decorate, creating and naming your own city/world. And all of these in outer space - it's soooo way beyond cool!!!ππππππ The only thing missing is doing the interiors of the homes and buildings - is there any hope this would be included in the game's features later on??? Crossing my fingers over this one π€π 5 stars!!! For me though it deserves a 10 - Love it!!!! πππππ
Great game, but..always a but...when it gets higher up in lvls, it doubles your actual unemployment or jobs therefore putting your entire infrastucture out of whack, maybe its a ploy to get you to spend money. The frustration is turning your device on ...off....repeat several times for it to tally it correctly, apart from that and being 2D..good strategy that is continuous
This one is incredibly laggy compared to the other designer city games. The individual buildings also don't look as nice as the other games. I'd love to play a space-themed game like this, but this one is nearly unplayable due to the lag. Edit: I have a new note 9 that was less than a week old when I posted this review. I can play any other city designer game without lag. I really doubt it's an issue with my phone. I'm not wasting my time contacting support, as the game should work.
