Seeing the graph is great but can you add an option to see the steps that lead to building it? Some functions have pretty weird derivates and it would be helpful to see if what I wrote on paper matches the app's steps. Please consider this!
I have no words to describe this app. This app is absolutely amazing . When I downloaded it, i was prepared for not getting all the answers of weird questions. But i am thoroughly impressed!
Photomath is better at UI and Experience, Desmos is better is Better at solving them! I need deos more since Half of the time Photomath Fails! Please Improve the Interface!
Totally awesome application, helped me a lot in understanding to graph a function and graph transformations. The BEST graphing application
Would be great if the mobile version actually let you change color and drawing options instead of moving the expression around. I just had to enter an expression and delete it until I got the color I needed because the draw options are so poorly implemented on mobile.
I never expected that such an app also exists so just think about what an app it is ...it can be very very helpful and most importantly it is providing such vast number of applications.....so you must try this ones
Works great helped me out when I couldn't find my graphing calculator for the second trimester finale.
OMG I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS APP... I accidentally started using it and it made me really interested in functions and graphs.. Like i actually can't believe it.. I've learned a lot and can't wait to learn even more! 😊 Thank you so so so so much, like i can't even describe how grateful i am!! 🥰 Without this app, i probably would've never understood how interested i really am in this part of mathematics!! You're amazing, Thank you for your hardwork and for programming this wonderful app!! ☺️❤️
The most ingeniously designed mathematical playground I ever experienced. Recommended for every mathworm. P.S. Can also make you a mathworm.
There are a few things it won't do, like regression analysis, and it doesn't understand 0/0, but it is Great at all that it does!
To put it simply, desmos is love for a math (especially curves) enthusiast. I must say however, the UI is very difficult to deal with on the phone, and images are still not available on the mobile version. An innovative improvement in the UI is absolutely all desmos needs right now for mobile users.
It's high quality, does exactly what I need & looks nice. And no ads! Thank you so much to the developers for not putting ads in their calculator!
This app is really handy: it's powerful enough to use for basically any math class requiring graphing functions, and a lot of fun to play around with! There are some frustrating design oversights though. The most glaring to me being that you can't (or at least I can't) scroll longer functions to edit them, and it's basically impossible to tap the edge of it to bring it into view without deleting the whole thing. Besides little annoyances like that, it's great; I hope development continues!
Great tool. But the interface for equation input can be tricky. It's only possible to scroll to the end of an equation that is longer than the input field by moving the cursor with the left/right buttons of the onscreen keyboard. Those buttons are dangerously close to the delete button so you may inadvertently erase part of your input or, even worse, all of it by accidentally hitting the X when you try to place the cursor as far right as possible.
Fantastic and incredibly useful. PLEASE change it back so that one can scroll laterally through an equation on a given line!! This makes plugging different numbers into the same formula so much easier! For longer formulas, when the end of the formula is off of the screen, and not being able to swipe to the end, there is a high probability of hitting the clear line (x) button when trying to plug new numbers in to the end of a given formula!!
I love this app. It's so very useful. For some reason, my expression list is vertically aligned, and it competes with my viewing window in such a narrow space. It didn't do that before, and I don't know why it changed, but I would definitely rate higher if I could switch it back to horizontally split with the viewing window.
Wow, this is above and beyond what I was looking for. After being fed up with the tiny screen, buried menus, and time consuming edits of graph sizes on my Casio fx-9750GII, I thought "Why the heck am I using a seperate calculator when I have a smartphone? Surely someone has made something better than this 10 year old clunker!" They did! I would gladly pay for this app, but it's free! One less thing to carry around and making graphs on here us actually fun! Thanks Desmos team!
This has lots of potential but ultimately falls short. Pros: Lots of built in functions; integral, sort, sum, pdf, cdf etc. Sliders to visualise how values change functions, really cool! Dark mode! Cons: Does not save any local state, even settings are lost! Why? Can't copy or paste, you have to manually type everything. Clunky UI. Have to go back and forth to type numbers, brackets and symbols. These cons are deal-breakers for me. I'd be happy to pay in order to not have an account.
The keyboard needs to be updated. Some of the input variable buttons are completely white on my screen so I do not know what I am inputting into the graphing calculator and have to guess what these buttons do. I would recommend changing this immediately, and having the entire keyboard reconfigured making sure that each of the buttons can clearly be identified with what they input. Please fix this issue/bug. Thank you.
The app is great and useful. There is one bug though where when you change the name of any folder a blank white screen appears and blocks around 40% of the view for portrait (less for landscape) but is removable when typing into the equation section. It'd be better if I don't have to do it though. Another bug is that when moving an equation tab(?), sometimes it won't follow through(fixed when restarting the app). Those bugs aside, the app is great and easy to use.
desmos is a wonderful tool, and i see myself using it all the time to try little things out. but i'm not here to rate desmos, i'm here to rate the app. and theres not much to rate there, since the app is literally just a container for the desmos website. its a good container in that it loads quite fast even on slow connection, but since it just chucks a (not very well mobile optimized) website at you, its quite clunky and not very responsive
As a whole, this app/website is amazing for me, I can visualize the general data given on a homework assignment. I think you should add a few things in the calculator though. Such as the ability to convert a data table into an equation via the settings in the input bar. Also having recursive functions would be super helpful. Finally, another idea is to add a way to view steps for converting from one equation system to another. Like y=mx+b to standard form etc.
Graphs nice but has annoying issues. Won't save locally and makes you log in every time you use the app to save or open things. If the OS suspends the app, you lose unsaved changes. Delete X is too close to end of the eq if you habitually click the right edge of text to move cursor to end. Picking points on the graph only works sometimes? No way to change axis variables--you can label but then they don't match the eq. Greek, Old High German & letter-like unicode math symbols would be nice.
This is an advanced calculator that you'd pay alot of money for to do math assignments for classes, except that it's simpler to use, has different graphing methods up for you to simply plug in and give you the answer, allows you different colored and textured lines to distinguish your functions, graphs instantly, allows you to zoom in and out pretty much infinitely.....so in almost every way, it's better than a calculator you could get in a store and pay over $100 for, except this is free.
Seems to work offline, as it should. Can't figure out parametric graphing. It might be nice to have an option to use the integrated Android keyboard, since it has bigger keys (no gaps between them!) and just looks nicer. Not to say the app's keyboard is unusable, though.
Its a very useful app for understanding and visualising graphs. Also I love all the pre-made presets. But I have two small suggestions 1. Please make it so that the settings are saved for the next time we open desmos. Like: Bigger Text, Inverse Colours etc. 2. Please make a share option for graphs in android devices too. Its on your website but from app it would be more user friendly :-)
This is basically a straight port of the web app. Has literally all the same features as the site, can sign ㏌ & save/load graphs on the same account, etc. AND IT STILL HAS NO ADS. The only reason it's 4 stars ㏌stead of 5 is because the function ㏌put boxes don't allow copy/paste since it doesn't use the natⅳe keyboard (though this is probably un㏌tentional), which limits iʦ usability. Aside from that, it's a great tool that's free of charge and free of ads, which is unfortunately a rarity nowa㍲ys.
DESMOS is amazing! However, the app does not opens on my Nexus running Android 6. Same with the sci calc app. It stucks in the desmos animation on startup. Seems to me the compatibility issue. Would it be possible to run it on this device?
