It's great. I just hate the fact that if you have opened a list (mainly reading list) and you open an article, when you go back, it sends you back at the top. Sometimes it sends you somewhere else. But what I rarely experience is to be sent where I really was.. Guys, I can't be searching where I was every single time I come back from an article.

Not a good experience wuth the app. I would rather orefer to open the site on browser. The app UI behaves in an unolewsant way. Loads of render blocks every other 10 seconds or so. Feels quite heavy and gives a feeling of running IE 8 ON WINDOWS 7. The devs should work hard on the UI and UX . not a smooth experience at all. Reviews after bejng tired and uninstalling the app. Now usung it on browser . the app probably is just a web view in an shell.

It works. It does everything it's supposed to. And it looks okay. But my problem is the fact that it feels like this is just a WebView of their mobile website. And sure, that's a little bit better than having to use their mobile website, but what you'd expect from a service advertising itself as a developer's community is quite a lot more. It doesn't need to be the latest and greatest thing out there, but it just needs to feel more native and behave a bit more like an app and less like a website

Exceptional social platform for devs. Just one problem that I've encountered is that the theme of the app changes to the default light mode from the dark mode (that I've countlessly tried changing). A fix for that would be great. Cheers.

Great app great experience although it has a sign up issue which many complain of, I also experienced that but was able to sign up. It will be good if you (Developers) could work on a google account sign up system.

I love DEV in general!! I write my articles on here and love reading. However, as a user, I write articles on a tablet with a keyboard built into the tablet case, I would like to be able to position my tablet landscape as this is more natural when using a keyboard. Currently, the Android app forces me to use the app in portrait view. I'd be willing to up my star rating to 5 if this was resolved. :)

DEV to one of the best if not the best developer communities out there. Everything about it makes it more appealing, almost everything is open source, even this app. In devto everything is written in a article like structure in addition to a messaging service.

why in the heck does this only work on Wi-Fi? it also doesn't seem to respect my corporate Wi-Fi connection. I have opened the app five times and never been able to read an article. Didn't want to rate poorly based on limited experiences, but I can't seem to unlock the experience I'm trying to get to!

I rated this less, due to what I think can be a critical issue, and will change rating after a reply, and fix. The app doesn't seem to be using tokens or whatever, for login, better redirect to browser for that. The ISSUE -> Login using github (etc), you enter your account credential of GitHub/twitter. Then, press back button... YOU SEE YOU ARE STILL LOGGED IN GITHUB/TWITTER in the app, why is it this way? Maybe there's some limitation, please reply.

It was working perfectly fine. But now it freezes and the ui don't respond when I try to navigate.

Handy way to read articles on DEV. I'm not really the type to write an entire post on mobile but this helps me respond to connect messages and comments quickly! Excited that we have a first iteration out!

It's a wrapper of their website, but it works worse than the actual website on mobile browser. Wish they just had a proper native experience or not have this app at all!

I really like the community, but the app only worked for about a week for me. After that point, I only get a "You appear to be disconnected..." screen with no recourse. I can draw on it though, and that's fun.

Sign up with Github or Twitter both is crashing the app. Couldn’t be able to use the app at all. I would be happy to change the review after they fix it.

App itself feel lacking. Speed and snappyness is great but well, I can't say why. Content wise it's not what I expected. Very much the same three beginners Javascript tutorials and it doesn't feel like a "dev community".

Amazing resource to read articles.👌 Althogh I prefer to read articles picked and sent me via email. I easily get lost in app.

Ola. O. Apr 26, 2019

I can't login. when I click "sign in with github", it just opens chrome and github Oauth, sign me in and stays there... when I get back to the app it's not signed in at all. At least, you should allow manual sign in option. need FIX asap.

Interaction is laggy, especially for the side drawer. Could be better. Good start by the way.

I think its a progressive web app (PWA) which is okay but it take too much time to boot up. Also the Android app doesn't have notification feature yet. Dev is a great community.

App shows I am offline but I am connected to high speed internet other apps are fine. Somehow if app network detection is broken.. then atleast app must show articles.

Rah. S. Jun 29, 2020

worst app i have ever seen takes too much time to load data in good connection and the UI is very bad but the information is very useful.

Bil. A. Mar 11, 2020

Such an amazing app. its a developer community where alot of great developers around the world shares there experiences and thoughts, tons of articles about different topics. i am really learning and enjoying it.

Sul. S. Mar 12, 2021

It was a nice app. After getting new phone, it's splash screen is forever (despite having good internet connection). [Redmi 9]

I love this app as well as dev community. I love to read materials in this platform. However some features must be improved but I can ignore them becoz all the other fantastic features excited me.

K.. M. Apr 28, 2019

My feed is full of stories tagged (exclusively) with tags I DON'T follow - what's the point of the "follow" feature then? Roughly half of it, if not more, is about JavaScript I couldn't care less about.

Uza. K. Aug 4, 2020

Not working after update, crashes immediately after opening. May be because i have updated web view and it's not compatible

Var. K. Aug 24, 2021

It's very slow and always take too much time to show content even though I've high speed internet. Ironic for a Dev community app. Please fix ASAP.

Zep. P. Apr 22, 2019

slick interface, snappy load times and a comfortable layout, what more could you want?

Rah. R. Jul 1, 2019

The app keeps saying I'm offline. I've already tried clearing the app storage and cache, and reinstalling.

Ife. O. Apr 24, 2019

Preserves the fantastic user experience from the website. If you know dev.to, you know it's full of great content and even greater people.
