Dev it - darkroom timer

Pretty straightforward app if it were just a bit easier to use. Biggest drawbacks are lack of customization. I develop in a (dimly) lit room and the red timer is difficult to see. Making matters worse is the alert tone is practically inaudible. If I could change the color of the timer display and the tone, or even the volume for the tone, this would be great.

A very nice app. Unfortunately after an update the agitation reminder sound never heard again on my phone. That's inconvenient because I have to pay constant attention to the clock instead of cleaning or tidying up the workspace. Edit: ok I found the problem. If the phone is on vibrate or silent mode then the app makes no sound, else everything works correctly.

I don't love it. The database is a pain. No search filters for manufacturers time so you get a pile of users inputs to sift through that may not be reliable. You can't go back or reset the timer without going back to the bright white set up screen. Limited number of steps possible. Still useful though and the best free timer for film processing

Almost perfect! For some reason it stops bleeping on the minute agitation alert after about 13 minutes.. Also when I modify the dev time and hit save, the minute icon in the circle doesn't refresh to the new time, and when I reload it it's changed back to the old time in the prog. Otherwise awesome app!!

It's a good app. I really like that there is a dilution calculator built in. I was having problems with the search function but that may have been on my end as it now works. I do wish there was a way to add a developer if it is missing (or a custom one if you have your own homebrew developer) but the app programmer was helpful and added the one that I needed. Thanks a bunch!

So you have to register to use it in any useful way? There are what appear to be hundreds of combinations but no way to search for the one that you want. Seems you can set your favourites but again you have to register and login to do so - this is just nonsense and just makes me wonder why they are so very very keen to get me to register. It probably works fine once you have jumped through all the hoops but the process of actually using it seems fatally flawed. Uninstalled.

On my Samsung s8 the phone vibrates constantly while the timer runs. The timing function works fine but I would like to turn off the annoying buzzing. Update: bug fixed! perfect now!

It could be nice, but due to requiring an account for almost anything makes it pretty much useless. It is the only timer that needs an account to create a simple timer and that makes it the carapiest one.

Sound alerts stop working randomly, even during an active timer when the device has not been touched. Unusable for darkroom purposes.

Exactly what I needed! It took a bit of fiddling to make sure I could hear the timer, but that may just be my settings. I can't recommend it enough to anyone developing their own photos!

Great app! Works perfect with my Samsung phone and tablet. However on Motorola G6 all sounds are very low and there is no way make them louder. Any suggestions?

Really useful app - especially now I have it set for correct c41 development, thanks for your help Dario :). Very clear timers, whole app works very well and makes timing film development very straightforward.

This is excellent! Does everything I need, wish I could have had it 20 years ago. One question, where does a setup go to when I save it, and how do I recall it for next time?

Can not connect to server and when it did it had no Ilford film on the list! Most common film in the world!

Exactly what I need and a perfect companion to my late night, slightly drunk, developing episodes. Ilford mostly!

For some reasons it keeps losing my zone system settings (N, N+1, etc...). Other than that a nice little app.

It all I need for my film development, the calculator comes in handy too. However when I try to save my timing, I didn't know how to retrieve it.

tried everythingh on the playstore. this beat them all. wish it had extra steps: divided developer, two-step fix, multiple steps wash

This is an amazing app, it's by far the best available and the website offers so much useful information too. I highly recommend for any darkroom users.

Amazing App! I use it for C41. I love that I don't have to constantly put my gloves on and off again. I really love it!

Miss an alarm for agitation time, otherwise okay, but nothing special.

Easy to program and reliable.

looks like a good app. i wish it could be changed to Fahrenheit tho because that's what I'm use to using.
